Hello everyone! I usually watch dramas/movies from Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and Hong Kong. But among them, Jdramas stand out for me since they are not afraid to explore out-of-the box concepts and tackle socially-relevant topics which give the audience a different kind of perspective. I also love the fact that they are able to convey the story and its message with few, short episodes.

Now, allow me share my Jdrama journey with you. It began when our Asian History professor made us watch Erai Tokoro ni Totsuide Shimatta! (starring Yukie Nakama and Tanihara Shosuke) for us to be acquainted with the Japanese culture. I was really captivated by their unique customs and decided to see other dramas of Yukie Nakama including Trick, Gokusen, Saki, Tempest, Rakuen — and the rest was history. I've tried watching different genres, but slice-of-life dramas are my favorite and I strongly believe that it is Japan's forte.
