Long-time Asian drama / variety show watcher and ex-fansubber.

Was mostly a TVB watcher starting from the early 90's and then branched out to other Asian dramas in the late 90's / Y2K era, but it wasn't until 2004 that my love affair with kdramas, jdoramas and twdramas really began.

First Japanese drama watched: Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake (1998) lent by a friend on video cassette tapes subtitled in Chinese. Growing up, I was a huge Kaneshiro Takeshi fan but at the time had only ever seen him in Hong Kong movies.

First Chinese produced drama watched: Pearl Princess I (1998)

First Taiwanese drama watched: Meteor Garden (2001)

First Korean drama watched: Loving You (2002) - after I had watched my first Korean movie in 2001 (My Sassy Girl)

Then, I stumbled upon D-Addicts in 2004 (and the niche Asian drama fansubbing community in its heyday, long before the prevalence of online streaming) and the rest is history.

Nowadays, I've mostly a cdrama addict with the occasional kdrama and jdorama thrown in if I'm intrigued.
