A drama that screams: “I AM CRINGE BUT I AM FREE”

This drama is a total riot. It’s absurd and chaotic and funny and then slowly it becomes warm and fuzzy.

Crazy Love pokes fun and essentially trolls all the well-known tropes in K-Drama: the narcissistic boss vs helpless secretary, amnesia, cancer (in this case it’s misdiagnosed), hospitalization, photo manips (the worst and yet funnniest manips you’ll ever see!!), over the top rival, and even some horror jumpscares.

They use these tropes and in each episode they flip them on their own heads - it’s something that’s never been done before in K-Drama. This drama is just plain absurd, freaky, but it’s also very funny and led by two leads who give it their all. You won’t recognize Ice Princess Krystal Jung and Cool Kim Jaeuck. They’re both 110% into their roles as the messiest, funniest Michin Couple.

The first episode is not that good (messy pacing I think) but it tremendously gets better on the 2nd episode, and then hits it off by the third episode. Third and fourth episodes are true riots. I had never laughed so hard! Krystal and Jaeuck are so good at comedy it’s so mindblowing!

All I can say is sit back, relax and enjoy some cringe, dark comedy, slapstick, and fun conspiracy theories.
