I can say this- I am not gonna miss this series

Well, Y-Destiny has finally ended. Fifteen weeks of seven couples being told in two episodes each (the last one all seven couples are in it). It sounded like a cool concept that was given to us previously from 'Our Skyy' and 'Close Friend.' However, I felt that Y-Destiny was not able to met the bar that these two series set (yes, even Close Friend, which I felt had A LOT of flaws.)

Story-6/10 (carried it to the nearest number)
I'm gonna grade all couples and then come to final rating.
Ep 1-2 (Tue-Ake)-4 Why? Cause I got lost and bored with this couple that at a point I had no clue what was going on in the series. I'm sorry!

Ep 3-4 (Sun-Nuea)-8 Loved everything about them! They were my fav until episodes seven to ten. I want to see more of Max and Nat in a FULL series together! Loved them here as well as their characters in Close Friend.

Ep 5-6 (Team-Mon)- 5 While Mon character was hella annoying, I still was able to follow the storyline for them than for Tue and Ake. Before I was going to give them a lower mark to said couple, but...nah!

Ep 7-8 (Pao/Pae-Thurs)- 8.5 I actually was pleasantly surprised with this couple, cause before watching this, I thought that I wouldn't like them. They proved me wrong!

Ep 9-10 (Puth-Kaeng)-9 OMG! This couple came out of nowhere for me and just...stole the whole series! They were able to do what episodes five and six failed to do for me- bring together steamy scenes with a good storyline.

Ep 11-12 (Choke-Sat)-4 I felt like this was a failure for me. You have the concept of 13 going on 30 as your guideline. How can you mess that up?! And this right here is where I felt steamy scenes could not help with thier storyline.

Ep 13-14 ( Tir-Masuk-Jia)-2 Why? Cause I felt thier storyline tedious to get through during the two episodes. Also, Jia does not really love Masuk. I know he's trying to move on, but like, he's failing miserably. And it's unfortunate cause these three actors were awesome in thier other respective series. They just got the crappy end of the stick here and wound up with a truly crappy storyline.

P.S- Please note some marks were taken away due to the wrap up episode (15), cause it was draggy and I felt that it didn't really add anything to this series.

Acting/Cast- 6/10
I am giving a six, only due to the three couples that were strong for me (that's how strong thier acting is that I am being REALLY kind here!)

Music- 6.5/10
The music was okay for me. It wasn't that annoying but wasn't that stellar for me.

Rewatch Valu- 3/10
I am giving it a three cause I would ONLY watch three couples (Puth-Kaeng, Pao/Pae-Thurs and Sun-Nuea) storylines over and over again. I believe that I shouldn't waste my time with the rest. This is just how I personally feel.

Overall- 5.5/10
This series was not it for me. Maybe someone out there likes it. But...not me. I would only recommended the three couples that I loved to people. The rest...no.

Bit anticlimactic, isn't it?

When I first learned that they were making a sequel to The Moment, I got super excited, cause that season was so beautiful and sweet and I adored it so much that I gave it a 10. But I need to learn now that some sequels can't live up to thier predecessors and this series, unfortunately, was one of them.

Story- 7/10
The summary ain't even give us exactly what this season is about. All I got was that it was Bay's birthday soon and he invited Mok and Boston. I think Boston invited Jimmy (I don't know). All three guys clearly has a crush on Bay, but Bay only likes one of them-Mok. So, they all spent time together having dinner, celebrating Bay's birthday and playing volleyball. Bay was able to get some alone time with Mok, where thier relationship was able to go on the next level, by kissing each other, not once, but twice (I squealed and grinned so much!)

Now, here is where I got angry/confused. What was the point of bringing in Jimmy if he was not gonna be a love interest for Boston (cause Boston clearly deserves one), but for him to crush on Bay, who clearly doesn't like him in that way? What was the point?!!! Also, the reason why I stayed with the series was to find out who was following them, only to realize that Mok hired a photographer (guest role appearance from Copter, who was looking hot/cute as hell!) to take pictures of them so that they could have memories of thier time together. Like...really?! I mean, could have just kept this sweet and cute like the first season, but, whatevs.

Acting/Cast- 8/10
I liked thier acting and I think they did the best that they could with this so-called script.

Music-9/10
The music is again addictive and I love the OST so much!

Rewatch value-6/10
I am sorry but I will quicker watch the first season than this one. This season had it's moments, but they aren't that big for me to run it down and rewatch it any time soon.

Overall-7.5/10
I stayed for a specific reason- who is taking thier pictures? I got the answer and was highly disappointed. But it did have some cute moments- just not enough for me, I guess.

A nice quick watch

I watched this drama to help me with the yearly MDL Challenge. I was grateful that it was a quick watch of fourteen 30-minute episodes. The story was also easy and simple for me to follow, which mostly does not happen with me and C-dramas.

There were, of course, some negative aspects that I got from the series. What comes to mind is when they were riding their horses and you just know the background was fake—it was just so poorly done. I also felt that for a short series, we really did not need three villains for this show. I understand the purpose and need for the first and last villain, but the second one, I think that we could do without her. I also did not see the need for the actual ending with the MC meeting each other in another life in the present day, as they did get their happy ending, so I did see that part as pointless.

While I did find some faults with this series, there are some aspects that I do adore. I loved the comedic duo who worked with Wan Niang in her shop—they made this series enjoyable. I really liked the secondary couple. I also liked the fact that Wan Niang did finally realise that Fang Mo's past life did not kill their master as she was told so many years ago that he did.

All in all, it was indeed an enjoyable series.

It was more fast paced compared to the original

After watching the eighth episode today, I told myself that it felt like the finale, but I swore that this series was 10 episodes. Lo and behold, it WAS the finale, so I got a little confused there. But in reality, what else could they have done after compressing so much in the eighth episode?

I have stated numerous times that the relationship that I have with MAME series is a love/hate one. This is her first work that was given a Japanese makeover. And what can I say? In all honesty, if I hadn't watched the Thai original, I know that I would have given this a higher score compared to what I did give it. Unfortunately, I did, and I can't believe that I am saying this—some parts from the original were way better done/handled compared to the remake.

The characters, Payu and Rain's Japanese counterparts (Arashi and Rei), felt the same to me, so the actors actually did a stellar job in their roles. Prapai's Japanese counterpart, Fuma, really did not live up to the standards of the character to me until literally the last episode. I was iffy about his character even before I watched this series, and he just proved my point—he was just missing something that did not make me get behind his character. I always thought that Sky's character (and actor) did a phenomenal job and that no one would be able to do what he did. I was proven wrong with this, as the actor who played Kai (Sky's counterpart) somehow rose to the occasion and gave an outstanding performance and made Kai's role his. For the evil villains in this series, I must say that Kai's ex-boyfriend was more hateable in this adaptation (he was hateable in the Thai one, but in this one, I just hated him more).

As stated, we got eight twenty-six episodes that were compressed from thirteen forty-five-minute episodes. While it felt that they took out some parts that could be seen as unnecessary, this Japanese remake still felt compressed, and the storyline was moving at a rapid pace. What I did like from this one was how they showed what was happening with the two relationships from episode five and not just focusing on one relationship, because I was originally annoyed with the Thai original one where I had to wait until episode eight for them.

For all of the mentioned reasons, I have to give this series a 7.5, as the original Thai series did have some aspects that just made it a *tiny* bit better compared to its Japanese remake.

Can I actually say this? I kind of enjoyed it.

I have said this previously, where I am not really a fan of C dramas. I take too long in completing them; I get bored easily by them, and I always ask myself, 'Why am I watching this?' especially a period piece drama. This was not the case with this series, 'The Unexpected Marriage.'

I am not saying that this series is perfect—it is far from it. Yet, I still enjoyed watching it with the banter between the ML and the FL. I was shockingly able to follow whose who in this series and was not lost/confused as I usually am from previous shows. While there was a part in this series that did begin to get draggy, I was still able to follow the storyline, and it was able to pick up the momentum after that.

I've read comments that said that up to a certain part of episode 23 would have been a good place to end the series as the main couple got their happy ending. But I actually see why it continued. This was due to the fact that issues were not yet resolved with the third prince and the fifth prince. The fifth prince still wanted the power that the third prince had. It also showed us that the fifth prince, who was portrayed as someone who only looks out for himself, cared enough for his partner as he gave up his freedom and getting the antidote for his brother in exchange for her to be released from prison and for her to live her life.

What I did not like is the remaining, I want to say, ten minutes of this series. That part was stupid and unnecessary. That's why I can't give this series anything higher than an 8.5. If it had tweaked that part just a little bit, this series would have gotten a higher score from me. I understand why the FL was seen as a jinx, but the ending was still stupid and pointless in my opinion.

Came for the romance. Stayed for the friendship

This series focuses on the (beginning) of romance relationships between four couples. Some were dealt with better than others, while others I felt were not given the opportunity to blossom like thier counterparts (Chain and Pun's). I personally adored the relationship of Tan and Khaofang out of the four as they made me smile whenever they were present on the screen. I dint really warm up to Phum and Peem until quite episode 10 (😳!), so that should tell you something.

But what was the saving this series were the friwn3dship of the two group of friends. Whenever they were on the screen, I just felt joy and happiness when they were all together. It was fun watching one group of friends, but when all the groups combined, the sntics and chaos that was released with them! So, in the end, because of this, I am giving this series an 8 (I actually thought that I would have given it something lower). So, while rhe romance is there for us to enjoy, the friendship will indeed steal the show!

A cute, short web series

So, let me start off by saying that I understand some of the earlier concerns about one of the main characters and how he was portrayed. Personally, it didn't bother me that much as a viewer because I just took that to mean that's the kind of character he is in the series.

But, the series itself...the two main characters together were cute. I also enojyed it when the co-worker from another section visited them and also found them in somewhat compromising positions- that was always hilarious to me.

While they may have met some small hurdles in the development of thier relationship, they were always able to sort that out in a quick manner, which is a plus for me compared to another series that I am watching and its feeling like its just dragging.

So, all in all, it was a cute fluff series with a few things that can be swen questionable but they still delievered in thier acting and story telling.

It did not go the way that I expected. And for that, it made me enjoy this series more

So, I started this series, and while the storyline was lovely, I thought that it was going the way that I expected it to go. But this was not the case, as we are informed of what Do Hoe went through to become so successful in life.

And because of this change, we see Do Hoe fess up to what he has done and is now living with Ju Yeong, no longer rich, but seems to be happier when we see him again. And I love that for this series—because of this route that they have taken.

So, with an excellent storyline, good actors who are able to portray these characters so well, their emotions, and their beautiful music, this story was able to resonate with me that I am able to give it a 9 for its end product.

A quick watch that just leaves you feeling indifferent

The format of this series reminded me of the apps that you can put on your phone and watch these short episodes that are 1 to 2 minutes long. Not only did it remind of that with the length, but how some of those series felt meh like this one through its storyline as well as the acting.

I really did not care for any of the characters as I felt that they weren't portrayed properly by these actors for me to have any reaction to them and what they were going through.

Also, I felt that the secondary couple was not portrayed good and was handled properly. If they were, I felt that I may have liked this series a bit, but that was not the case.

I'm glad that I watched this after the hype, so I wouldn't be swept up with it

Let me say this first- I have watched 5 series by Dup Hup House, with this being the 6th. And...it has fallen into 1 of 2 patterns that I see Dup Hup House has. The series is either meh, but you watch it for the chemistry of the actors or it starts off good, gets meh and ends good/ okay-ish. I felt the ending for this was more why, but then I guess it's set up to have a season 2, I guess (I won't hold my breath for it as trashy BL's seem to get second season before outstanding/ good BL's.

There were some parts I like, some parts I hate and some parts I just wondered why. Like why did Jom end up inthe past? To experience what true love is just to loose it again?! That does not make sense to me. A time travel drama is supposed to have a specific reason for WHY did they end up inthe past. And yes, I see that he helped all those people in the past. But yet, he looses his love.

And the that ending- HOW and WHY? I'm sorry, this series just had to much flaws for me and because I have no idea if it's going to get a second season, I'm rating it on what was present to me with this season.

P.S.- While the overall rating says 7.5 (which I was initially going to give this series), the ending did not sit with well (both parts), so I'm giving it a 7. I really feel like I may never like a Dee Hup House production series, as there is always something in it that I will find flaws in.

1st K drama in a long time that I am disappointed in

When I read reviews, I want to give the series a benefit of the doubt, especially if it has bad ratings. So, thất was the case for this series. But, nah, I agree with the reviews and the low rating for this series. I felt that I took long to finish this series, due to the storyline of it. The twelve episodes felt longer and the only reason that I decided to give this series a go was due to the drama/ movie alphabet challenge as I needed a series that started with the letter Q. In all honesty, I should have watched something else.

In these kinds of series, we are supposed to hate the villains- which I did. So, those actors portrayed their characters good, as well as the actress who was the owner of Solution. But for the main characters on the good side, they upset me from the first episode. I felt like I had more commonsense than them and the foolish things that they did. When you feel that they finally got the upper hand in the series, something happened that screws them over and they are back at square one. I just got annoyed over and over again when I was watching them. But in the end, good prevailed, leaving me only grateful that I was able to watch a series for the challenge and with the thought that I am finally done with them.

P.S- they really gave the villains the benefit of the doubt and that's why they were losing so much in the series.
PPS- so, the guy who murdered their first witness (who they told her that they would protect her if she testified?!!) is still out there, huh?

It had its moments.

This series is not perfect. It had its moments. This can be seen with Fourth and his role as Atom. I felt that he was close to giving the same energy that Michieda Shunsuke did as Aoki in the Japanese version. Him with the two supporting characters and their scenes together actually stole the series for me, specifically with Matmi as they were so cute together. And he also did an excellent job with his coming out scene to his mom that he even made me teary-eyed. Now, in all honesty, I did not feel that Gemini was a good Kongthap when I compare him to Meguro Ren as Ida. Something...just wasn't there for me in his character.

I also felt like I was drowning with the introduction of so many supporting characters that at one point, I didn't care anymore. I just wasn't invested. The series also felt long and draggy that I actually identified two other episodes it could have ended at, and it would have still been a good series. But here we are at twelve episodes.

It was nice to get a longer storyline for Half and Matmi, because we are able to see more of them and the outcome of their relationship. I was super annoyed with the product placement, especially the contact lenses one. I don't know why; it just annoyed the heck out of me.

The music of course slaps and it was good seeing the Chinzhilla band in episode 11 from MSP. All in all, it was an okay series that unfortunately did not live up to the original Japanese version- BUT! It had its moments sprinkle here and there.

Simple movie with a weak love story and an easy murder mystery to solve

Netflix little blurb on this movie states " Romance, mystery and mayhem unfolds aboard a luxury liner heading for the Agean Sea, when a butler and a passenger try to solve a baffling murder.' With that little blurb as well as when I saw it being advertised, I took the opportunity to watch it today. And... well...it just did not live up to the expectations.

Now, other murder mysteries that I watch, I just don't know who done the dirty deed. But I kid you not, LITTERALLY halfway through this movie, I realized who the murder was. I mean, another murder mystery that I watched some months ago, I And besides finding that out, I really did not like how some of the customers treated Ubukata. Like they could have appreciated him a bit more. And out of all the supporting character, I only really liked the kid- he seemed to have more common sense and a better grasp to like that the ML.

And then all the thing that Mr. Kuruma Michihiko and his wife did (making it look like Mr. Kurma was alive for so long until they announced he was dead, pushing down Sakumoto Kanatolike's mom like that after she found out the truth. Like they also should have been arrested and locked up until they returned to Japan. And well, the romance really was not as strong as I was expecting it to be. I mean, it was okay. Just not mind- blowing.

So, in the end I give this movie a 6.5. It had an interesting storyline that just wasn't formulated in an exciting way. The actors were okay (especially the young actor who plays Sakumoto Kanatolike).

Started good. Got muddled in the middle. Ended on an okay note.

When I started this series, I told myself that 'Maybe this was going to become my first ten for BL's this year!' This was my thought as it started off on an excellent note. But then, the middle happened.

I have said this numerous times- I HATE miscommunication. And that is what happened in this series. When I thought that they were actually going to get together- you get miscommunication upon miscommunication. They see things, but never fully approach one another to clear it up. They (or mostly I guess Souta), takes things at face value and just believes what he sees until it is cleared up later. And by then, it's a wee bit too late for me to feel as happy as I did when I started watching this series for the two ML's. Honestly, I was personally getting annoyed with them.
But hey! They got thier happiness in the end and to see that Mahiro accepted Souta for the way he relieves his stress after working overtime, that's a plus for me.

So! Because of all of that, I am going to give this series a 7. I truly wished it was higher, but I just can't.

Sometimes I just need fluff

This was actually a well done fluff series. Everything was done well from the execution of the story( as everything seemed to flow seamlessly), to the talented actors who played thier roles so well and a cool OST. I am still amazed that not a single character annoyed me from the ML's to the supporting characters. I adored everyone of them so much!

And this series is now my second 9.5 (my highest rating) for a BL this year. That's how much I enjoyed watching it. If you just want a cute fluff series, this right here is for you.

P.S- I know that I am gping to miss them so much.
