Hello! My name is Ivy ◡̈ I'm a 23 year old, gap year student preparing for medical school. In my free time, I love to watch c-dramas and k-dramas.

I'm also an ARMY♡ and enjoy listening to k-pop in general. I mainly listen to BTS and TXT, but I'll also occasionally listen to ATEEZ, Stray Kids, GOT7, IU, Wanna One, and Seventeen as well as many other artists :)

I started watching k-dramas in 2018 after I saw a Viki ad for The Bride of Habaek and thought it looked pretty interesting! At the same time, I had just started reading webtoons, with one in particular called Cheese in the Trap. I later discovered it had a k-drama adaptation, so I had to watch it. During that same time, a new k-drama had just released and I thought it had a pretty interesting title (What's Wrong with Secretary Kim?), so of course I had to see what it was about! Since then, I never looked back and have watched many titles over the years.

Around late 2019, I thought "I watch a lot of Korean dramas, so why don't I watch something in Chinese, a language that I had some grasp in as a heritage speaker?" My first c-drama was Put Your Head on My Shoulder, a cute college romance. Although I never finished it and was content watching and discovering new k-dramas instead, I was definitely hooked onto the idea of watching more Chinese dramas in the future. Nowadays, I mainly watch Chinese dramas not only because I enjoy them, but to also pick up more of the language and hopefully improve speaking Chinese. I still watch the occasional k-drama if I've been anticipating it but not as much as before.

how i give out ratings: 

10/10- absolutely obsessed!!! i loved everything about it and now i can't stop thinking about the show even though it's over T~T a work of art and definitely worth rewatching if i had the time lol

9.5/10- super obsessed! the show was mostly perfect except for one or two things that i didnt like or bored me a bit but still worth rewatching though

9/10- amazing show! obsessed with some parts of it and the show is nearly perfect except for a couple of things but not worth a rewatch though

8.5/10- great show! entertaining to watch and there were certain parts that i didn't like, but i still enjoyed it nonetheless. not worth a rewatch

8/10- good show. parts of it were pretty entertaining to watch but other parts felt draggy. not worth a rewatch

7.5/10- just okay/alright. the show could've been better in a few ways, but i was still able to watch through it. not worth a rewatch

7/10- just not my cup of tea

6.5/10- meh...it was a real struggle watching through all the episodes

<6/10- don't watch ❌ i couldn't finish it because it was so boring, bad, uninteresting, etc.

Also, my list has lots of shows marked as "dropped," but that's because I probably got too busy with school to continue watching and forgot to finish watching later OR I picked up too many shows to watch and ended up watching the show I liked most instead. I plan on finishing these shows eventually, but I don't have the time right now and I also tend to gravitate towards watching new releases instead.
