Compatible OTPs

When it comes to the leads of any dramas, I am only invested in leads with comparable visuals. And this show Maid Escort delivers on everything including nice soundtrack. I thought it might be another fluffy or silly comedy but it turns out to be entertaining all the way. Both leads have great chemistry. Jade Cheng is pretty and likable. Wang Run Ze seemed promising in Eternal Love Rain and in this show, he gave a different vibe. For romance department, I prefer a little bit of angst and slow burn process than something unbelievably corny. My favorite OTPs are Luo Yun Xi and Yukee Chen Yu Qi in The Winner is Love, Dilraba and Leo Wu in The Long Ballad, Bai Lu and Xu Kai in The Legend, OTPs in Princess Silver (though I would prefer them to get together much later). This might be another favorite OTP.

Highly recommended

I wasn’t sure what to expect but after reading some raving reviews about it, I decided to give a try. And it’s a pleasant surprise. It’s a refreshing blend of mystery, fantasy, romance, etc. I certainly didn’t expect to laugh aloud at Hyeri’s comedic antics and gestures at episode 2. Almost had me in tears. Yes, indeed Jang Ki Yong is not your average gumiho. He is polite, composed, poised and charming. Wait till he meets Lee Hyeri, goofy, unrefined, unpolished with a heart of gold. Both of them shine in their roles. Bae In Hyuk is wow. Where did he come from? And all other supporting casts are equally good. Tune in for more!

Excellent Xianxia Show

Superb production. Ancient Love Drama is an epic Xianxia drama. A classic superior Chinese Historical Fantasy drama. Xu Kai is better suited for cold character. Reminds me of his role in The Legend. Zhao Dong Yu is likeable, projecting a fresh and unique goddess persona. Production set is really gorgeous. I like the development of the romance, which comes as believable and appears to be slow burn. The supporting characters especially the other male gods are very pleasing to watch as well. To those who loved Ashes of Love, this is a must watch series. I have been waiting for this type of drama to surface, and this drama is certainly a winner.
