Dear lord…

I started watching this show because I liked the casting and everything else, but this is it. I watched the first two episodes and decided that I wouldn’t watch anymore, but my mom started watching, so I just went with it.

Why in the great heavens a couple that has been married for 3 years and almost had a child together so against skinship? Don’t get me wrong, I know they aren’t close anymore because of their fights and lack of communication, but this is beyond that.

Hae In got pregnant with Baek Hyun Woo’s baby but was surprised just by seeing him shirtless, like, let’s be real, PLEASE. I’m saying this because they didn’t seem like a real couple that married each other because they were in love and attracted to each other. It was so robotic and weird. And the damn plot of Hae In being sick was so dragged through the episodes and solved in like ONE episode.

The only thing that I really liked about this drama was Kim Ji Won’s acting and her character clothes.

comfort show

I couldn’t finish it before because I was so afraid that I would miss them, so I kept watching one episode per week. I’m being so real right now; every character was so special. Su Zaizai is one of the best characters of all time. She’s so bright, happy, and dedicated. And Zhang Lurang, what can I say about him? HE IS THE BEST. I love Jiang Jia, Gu Ran, and Guan Fang too; their friendship was so good to watch.

I loved that Su Zaizai was 'chasing' Zhang Lurang with such confidence, and she breaks the stereotype that only the guy has to chase the girl. She was patient with Zhang Lurang being so shy, and I really, really loved that.

Zhang Lurang is a character I could relate to so much. People only see us as human beings without feelings, but it's completely the opposite. I hope in the future I can be more open with another person, just as Lurang was open with Zaizai.

IM GONNA KILL MYSELF

At first, I felt a bit reluctant about Go Young because of some of his actions, but in the end, I completely understood his character. He was abandoned by his father when he was young, treated as if he was sick by his mother for being gay, and ended up contracting HIV from someone he trusted.

Gyu Ho was the love of his life. He had never told anyone about his illness, but shortly after meeting Gyu Ho, he felt comfortable enough to tell him, even knowing that Gyu Ho could abandon him. And even after knowing that Gyu Ho loved and accepted him as he was, Go Young still felt insecure and would often ask things like, “Do you think I’m dirty?” or “Are you disgusted by me?”

The most memorable moment for me was when he went to Bangkok with that businessman and started to remember everything he had experienced with his true love, Gyu Ho, in that same city.

In the end, i understood that he had come to terms with his reality. That last smile he gave in the final episode wasn’t one of happiness, but of acceptance.
