Too much sighing...not enough story
The unfortunate thing about this show is that it had so, so much potential, with a brilliant cast, a beautiful setting, a great soudtrack. But the main story between Jim and Wen just didn't give...almost anything. Jim is a boring and stunted character, and Earth just wasn't given much to work with. He was literally sighing for 50% of his screen time. And it was never entirely clear why Wen after him THIS hard when Jim kept pushing him away time and time again. The characters' chemistry didn't measure up to the actors' chemistry. Heart and Li Ming's story on the other hand was much, much better handled, and Fourth's acting blew me out of the water. Incredible stuff all around!!!!!! Gaipa was a sunshine character, and Alan and Wen's relationship was portrayed well. The chemistry between FirstKhao is out of this world and I truly wish we could get a glimpse into their future together as AlanGaipa, but nevertheless, their scenes together were wonderful. Khaotung delivers every single time. Overall, I literally skipped most of Jim and Wen's scenes because nothing was happening. But the show does leave you with a distinct found family warmth that is hard to shake off. I'm really grateful to the whole cast for all their hard work.Cet avis était-il utile?

Liked it!
The acting and the minimal plot were fluffy and pleasant to watch. The ending was, of course, fantastic. I was very pleased. It's a great watch to put on for comfort even after watching it once. Earth and Mix delivered beautifully and the characters' banter with Pat and Pran was fun too. I do wish that the source of their disagreement would have been talked through a little more...but it didn't detract from the overall effectiveness of the episodes. I enjoyed it and I'll be coming back to it. I don't have much else to say but I need more characters for this review...Cet avis était-il utile?
fun watch with pretty visuals!
This was a cute and lighthearted watch with surprisingly good acting and GORGEOUS visuals. All the sets and outfits were beautiful, and the lighting was wonderful at all times. The leads' acting was great, especially Pak. The story...was a little forced but overall fun to watch. I wish we had seen Nuea and Lom growing close and falling in love more explicitly, that part was somewhat rushed. I enjoyed that there was a GL couple. Cute and funny watch! I might rewatch one day. I look forward to seeing the leads in more things.Cet avis était-il utile?

Incredibly impressive with tiny misses
I went into this drama knowing nothing about it and expecting nothing - and I was very quickly drawn in! The acting and visuals and wardrobe hardly ever miss, and even the stock footage is gorgeous. The music is CONSTANTLY on point! The plot has a very interesting premise and I liked the way the show handled and presented its message (discussion more below). At a few moments the show loses its pacing which ends up hurting the overall vibe somewhat, but the acting really makes up for it. All in all, I wish there had either been 1-2 more episodes, or some of the drama around episode 8-9 would have been tightened up. A huge plus are the kissing scenes: always nicely sexually charged, always erotic and romantic. It gets a little spicy at times in a very tasteful way! Pee and Title are both super handsome, and Suar's character was my favorite all around. My biggest compaint: not enough scenes of Tai and Patts getting to know each other, growing closer and more comfortable. We weren't /shown/ enough of them falling in love, more so told. I think that Pee and Title have great chemistry but we just didn't get to see enough of it. And the fact that the final episode barely had any scenes of the two of them together...an abomination. It hurt my overall enjoyment of the show, they deserved better. Still, I'll be rewatching...This show is dear to me and I loved it. I'm super excited to see all the actors in other things!

Could have been more, but still a trailblazer!
Going into Only Friends, I knew the plot and vibe weren't my cup of tea and that I was there for the cast and for the sexy scenes. I greatly appreciated the performances from every single cast member, but a true stand out for me were Mark Pakin and First. I haven't seen Mark in a role that let him shine like this before. He did a phenomenal job!!! He was the perfect Nick, and his eyes were always acting overtime. What an incredible performance! He and Neo portrayed some of the most risky and vulnerable scenes, acting in very explicit scenes as actors with such huge visibility, and they KILLED IT! I'm incredibly proud of them and loved their performances. First was also phenomenal as always. Similarly to Mark, his eyes just do so much of his acting... he was a joy to watch through and through. Book was also a stand out and I loved him as Mew. Mew was probably one of the best characters! As far as the STORY goes: I had quite a few issues with some of the plot decisions, especially in the latter half of the show. I felt that Ray was let off the hook way too easily too many times. But I loved TopMew's story and genuinely enjoyed all their scenes. I was also pleased with the way Boston and Nick's story ended. I hope Nick enjoys a happy and sexy relationship with Daddy Dan! I think the show tried to do too many things and suffered from the breakneck pace at which they had to film and edit. If they had had a bigger bidget, 1-2 more eps, and taken more time to perfect the show, things would have been better. It's disappointing that GMMTV is so cheap when it comes to a trailblazing show like this. All the sexual intimacy was done so well and that's so important. The production deserved better.
And of course.,..what a perfect final scene! Mix!!!!!! Everyone's beloved!!!!

Loved it!
This was my comfort show for its entire length! I loved the acting, liked the story, and the production quality was incredible. I don't like enemies to lovers, especially with as serious of bullying as this show dealt with, but I'm glad the show dropped the trope pretty early on. I loved seeing Kang and Sailom's romance and how their closeness shone even without the more conventional affection and lovey dovey vibe. I also enjoyed the other characters and side stories. Everyone looked so good. Can't wait for Perth and Chimon's next series!Cet avis était-il utile?
