One of the best....
This is one of the most successful best friend/brotherly sidekick TV shows I watched with regard to Chinese dramas. It offers a wonderful storyline of whodunnit's to be solved by two great detectives...one a newcomer and, the other, a pretend but very convincing physician. The constant challenges, storyline twist, and fantastic characters along the way will keep you riveted! There are plenty of good guys, bad guys, beautiful women, and comedy that is evenly spread throughout the series. Just when you think you've figured it out... you haven't so allow it to unfold instead of guessing and you will have much more fun! That said, the final of the program suggest a 2nd season...due to what I perceived to be a cliffhanger. However, the Chinese have wonderful way of not allowing for too much happiness or sadness for an ending. So, I'll let you decide which. Personally, they are missing out on a guaranteed high rating if they don't.One other area, the Hero in this drama is not your standard fare. He isn't the most handsome or the most well built in stature. However, he pull it off magnificiently with a very suave and cool demeanor with some hilarious comebacks all delivered perfectly! Bottom line, I like this guy, alot!! Enjoy, one and all...

Kiss the Girl...
Ahh, the Chinese writers constant desire for sadness and a lack of hope..., I wonder where this need arises from?Excellent acting, music and, cinematography. But, that cannot make up for the constant leading on of the writers
for a perceived love story that could have been revisited over and over. I suppose if you love a lack of hope amd goodness triumphing, this will not be the hoped for offering!
An old poem that sums up these 32 episodes for myself...
"As sunlight kisses shadows and moonlight kisses the sea, what are all these kisses worth, if thou kiss not me?"
I find this most appropriate for the 32 episodes offered!

A love story for anyone ...2 Watch worthy
The actors do not get lost amongst one another. The story line does a wonderful job of weaving each person in and out as if, an ornate dance. At points it becomes 3 dimensional with a folding over of a person or storyline to fit or wait on a new story point. The actors are superb and the love story mixed with great battles and some very sad losses will eventually find its way to your tear ducts!
This is one I can revisit often for many reasons...most of all for an appreciation of the two main characters and their spirit of sharing in love, no matter the cost or the circumstances.

One important reality...
I'll just cut to the chase...I could watch 100 episodes ofCheng Xiao and be smiling the entire time. While some have
commented on her stoic nature in this, one need only look to the Brother who
raised her to see why the writers might suggest the persona she took.
The lead actor was akin to luke warm soup....You can heat it up but
it loses its temperature fast.
Mo Lin character and his never failing love takes the prize , for me, that became
very interesting. Overall I enjoyed it, it was fun and well done on many fronts.
Oh yes, and then there is Cheng Xiao... :)

Fire the Writer's
I tried hard to love this show considering all the great actors in this ensemble. However, the writers continued to get in my way. This best way to put this is that within each episode there was contained a high amount of "Dumb" written into the script especially Ji Chang Wook's, character. Someone decided the lead character was going to be a wuss who could not overcome his depression throughout each episode. The love story was good , the bad guys were good and, the other characters all had potential. That is until the writers continued to dumb down the character of No Ji Wook. I still gave it high marks for a number of things. Is it worth watching, YES! Is it frustrating, Without a Doubt!Cet avis était-il utile?
Just had to go and do it...
Up to this point I thought we'd escape the woke LGBmouse junk in the script but, no...some writer needed to add this as if it were a new spice necessary for all recipe's now. I wished they would have had the main character and his girlfriend standing up to lunatic mother. Hitting a child like that, if that's a norm for Korean families, is detestable. Had I been the boyfriend mom would have been escorted to the car.All in all, a fun and thought provoking drama. The teacher is coming out to be a real hero in all of this!

It's got a nice wind in its Sails
I love a good Joseon drama/love story! Took a chance on this one based on title only and after only 4 episodes, this has not disappointed me. The characters are excellent with some great seasoned veterans mixed in. The cinematography is first class and the backdrops are gorgeous and very much put you into that 1600-1700's feel. The main characters each have very definitive personalities and there are some special support roles that make this even more interesting.Bad Guys have not disappointed! Can't wait for the following episodes as this, along with that quirky Divorce Lawyer, have become my two favorites thus far...and there's no April's Fool to that!
