*SPOILERS*
Both follow the leads from high school to adulthood. They struggle with issues in their relationship, seperate, and then come back together. I will say, that if you watch 1 in 10,000, you should watch all three acts. The first and second act aren't very good, but I cried by the third act. Both are also queer shows, though 1 in 10,000 is intentionaly a romance that happens to be gay (between two women), and not a gay romance.

Both are dark stories that take unexpected turns! Though I will say that The Handmaiden's story is easier to follow than Old Boy.

Both stories have asshole leads who struggle with their sexuality, and helplessly in love co-leads who aren't sure if they want the protagonist. If you continue watching the I Told Sunset About You series (Last Twilight in Phuket special and I Promised You the Moon), then you also get to watch the main leads from both series age and grow over time. They also both involve homophobia, and both include bisexual characters.

Both dramas follow the lives of children and end when they are older. They're also LGBT stories that deal with being closeted and internalized homophobia.

Both are queer webseries, specifically in the BL/GL genre. Meaning they're lighthearted, have shallow stories, and each has a slightly more serious element to it. I recommend them if you don't want to think too hard. They're similar in that both of them feel like they are based on webcomics. While Legend of Yun Qian is magical, Nobleman Ryu is not, though both take place in the past as a costume drama. Are either of these the best thing out there? Not really. But that doesn't matter to everyone. If you know you are easily pleased by BL/GL web series with a light hearted feel, then go for it.

These two works are queer, as in they take a look at issues within the queer community. Gay bars, and issues that are uniquely queer are explored in both works. If you're looking for something to feel a bit more connected to struggles within the community, these are good places to look. They're not masterpieces, but they are full of various queer people, making us feel seen through many different voices and experiences.

Bilitis Club in praticular focuses on women who love women, while i STORIES tells four different stories from the perspective of a trans, bisexual, gay, and lesbian perspective.

They both have morally questionable characters. The stories are tragic and violent. Both have a teamwork style dynamic between the main leads.

Both are violent and dramatic stories. They both feature people who don't really know how to rely on others and instead turn to underground life.

These are based on the same story. Come Back, Frog Boys was released only a year after the boys had gone missing (SPOILER: before their bodies were found), while the other is filmed nearly twenty years later.
