disappointing plot with decent casts

With all the hype about this show, the good ratings, and the number of people who introduced me to this show, I had a pretty high expectations toward it. Yet, I ended up disliking it from episode 1 to 9, and only find it bearable from episode 10 onwards. The male lead character is so freaking annoying. He has 0 character development throughout the show, tbh. He keeps hiding things from her and not know how to properly communicate.

As for nuan nuan, the only story she gets is that she joins a new job, meets horrible people, and gets sabotaged for it, and the cycle repeats itself. Though I do like her character to a certain extent, as she stands up for herself when she is bullied. I understand how she becomes softer when it comes to han che since that’s what love does to people.

Eleanor’s acting is really good though, she portrayed nuan nuan well, bubbly, loud, strong and kind. On the other hand, i can’t really rate Leon Leong’s acting as his character is too stoney, and not much inner conflicts which can be shown through acting.

The OST is good though, Liu Yuning’s voice is so good, as always!

Overall, it’s not my type of show despite the cute scenes toward the end.
