Weakest of the three

The weakest of the three episodes, a lot of flaws became more prevalent in this one, especially in the writing. The kidnapping scene and the "expel the firefighter" scenes were very contrived and felt like the writers wrote themselves into a corner to have her become his bodyguard. The scenes with the has-been actor trying to kill the male lead are over the top, and I hope he is not a mainstay going forward. The strength right now lies in the two leads who have good chemistry, and the show works best when they are on screen together. The cliffhanger was surprising, to say the least, so I look forward to where the story goes from here.

Ok start I guess

Eh... I guess the first case is interesting enough, but I'm not too sure about our male and female leads. They kind of fall into the camp where they're such pure characters that their only flaw is their strong sense of justice, and everyone just needs to catch up with them. It's not an interesting character type to follow for 12 or more episodes.

Something Missing

After five episodes, I'm not sure how I feel about this; something in the plot and characters isn't gelling with me. Everything feels kind of shallow. I see that we are still building things, but even shows like Donbrothers had good writing and characters to hook you in as the plot develops. Even the conflict in this episode could've been interesting, but it's handled so quickly and halfheartedly that it seemed like filler. Hopefully, we start to build something from here.

Nothing new Here

Has every cliché you would expect from a show like this, which would be fine if you didn't walk away disliking 90% of the characters.
