A Must-Watch Series
I am not going to post a long review but this series hit me differently. In the gut. With Thor's Mjöllnir. And let me tell you that I am very happy about it.This series' plot is not rocket science, no heavy drama, no over-acting, but just simply very relatable and realistic. That, for me, is the charm of all 10episodes and made me watch actually all of them in one go.
All of the characters resonated different facets of myself. It's like that share house is me but all 6 residents were me during the different phases of my life, or when faced with various situations, or maybe whenever I think about life from different perspectives and ended up having the same decision as them.
I cannot even put it into words the kind of reflections I had while watching it. There were moments when I went "that is what I felt before and how I handled it" also, "that's what exactly I am going through right now!" but these were portrayed by different characters which makes you think that "hey, yes, I am human after all and my feelings are valid no matter what other people say". It's just... realistically different. I bet if you get to watch it, you'd recognize yourself in at least one of them.

perfect for light watching
Happiness in a very cute pill. This is a light series that would not let you down no matter how many times you watch it. While it is the typical "fate will find its way back to you" plot, this has a good balance of romance, comedy, drama, and I cannot stress this enough - fair airtime of both FL and SL couples which actually is one of the aspects that makes me say that it is a good movie or series. I bet the audience is not only rooting for the FLC but also for the SLC.Oh, I think a lot of ladies would really get the "OMG who to choose, the lawyer or the doctor? Why can't I just have them both?" kind-of feel in this series. However, being the bibliophile that I am, I'm sticking to the bookstore owner. LoL!

Expected the unexpected and i loved it!
i never thought that i would be squealing at 7 in the morning just because of HuYiTian and LiYiTong! it felt like i was shrieking forever! i watched ep17 at least 3x and was screaming until my son started hammering the cellphone against the wall.when i was still halfway through GGS2DTADT, i already told myself that i'm starting to like this better than GGS1 (i still love YangZi and LiXian, don't worry). i read some reviews prior to watching the second season as i'm always wary of series having more than one. i know that these are based from a manhua trilogy ("Fish Playing While Trapped in a Secret Room” by MoBaoFeiBao) but apparently, S1 was based on the 3rd book wherein the writer was involved in the series creation as the screenwriter, while S2 was based on the 2nd book but the series' storyline was not the manhua writer. if you are planning to watch GGS1 and GGS2, feel free to watch it in any order as each of these can be watched as standalone, but make sure to clear your mind off of whatever you see first prior to watching the next one to avoid getting confused and disappointed like the majority.
lastly, i loved the fact that they changed the sports competition to robotics instead of CTF because battle bot is very hard to illustrate to those who are not that knowledgeable about it. these are some specificities that i also look into but who am i kidding? we are all for the giddy love story, right?! 🥰

bingeing on sleepless nights
as a book lover, this series tickled my fancy as it shows what happens behind the scenes in the publishing world. i know that the romance aspect is what the audience is looking forward to, but i love the fact that the background of FML was a little more complex, not complicated nor exaggerated as some dramas would normally have, but was eventually taken care of with the help of SFL.this is the first drama of Esther that i've watched and i'd have to say that i wasn't disappointed in her character nor by her acting. i've read some reviews that her pitch is quite irritating - hers isn't the first high-pitched voice i've heard on a Chinese drama and there are others that are more annoying than hers. i think her laugh is quite contagious, i actually giggle every time she does! she played her role very well and i'm looking forward to watching her other series.
i've watched Ryan in TROTAR (LuSi) and IL (YuXi) but this is the best one i've seen of him. he exudes that certain air of arrogance and gives intense stares that just gives his audience butterflies in their stomach. he had me at TROTAR but totally captured my heart in Moonlight. his character's attitude is literally something i would want to acquire: not really caring much about what others think as long as you believe that what you are doing is right and that you are not harming others.
ShiZe and YinYin... where do i even begin? the chemistry between their characters is undeniable. it is my first time watching them and despite them pretty new in the industry, they were able to portray their roles very well. they will surely have more projects to come - i hope they'll get the FML & FFL roles soon.
PS: the bromance chemistry between ZhouChuan and YuCheng is pretty strong and competitive with that of their female leads hahaha! oh, and don't tell me that am i the only one who thinks that there's really something between YuYao and SuoHeng ? i didn't read the manga so i've no idea if it's there. ^_^
