A drama with a very toxic relationship

Honestly, Doona went so viral! that by default I ended up watching it. The first two chapters were really slow and boring. I'm one of those people who, although the chapters can be slow and boring, I have to finish watching it.

After watching Donna! I had a good time of reflection to put together the ideas I had in mind.

I can understand Donna to some extent. It is very exhausting to be an idol and when you need time to rest your mind, everyone abandons you when you no longer generate income. Clearly Donna's childhood was taken away from her and she became very emotionally codependent on her manager, which made her very mentally destabilized when he abandoned her. Because he didn't want her, he just used her until she stopped generating income.

She meets an ordinary boy who doesn't even recognize her because he wasn't her fan. Which bothers Doona.
A toxic friendship/lovers dynamic is created between them.

I don't think Doona loved him, like Won Jun loved her. He was willing to change anything that bothered Doona in order to be with her but Doona was not. And that's because Doona lacks emotional responsibility. She just played with him and his feelings, so she wouldn't feel so alone.
But he really didn't care at all what Won Jun felt or how he hurt him. He only cared about his own needs.

Doona is like the main character of Nevertheless, but in a female version. She is a big red flag that you should avoid if you don't want to get hurt. You know that kind of person who is only with you and plays with you and your feelings, but without really committing to the relationship. It's like being on a seesaw with her, you don't know when she'll get off the game and leave you alone.

I really felt bad for Won Jun, on many occasions. You could see his determination to make things work somehow but he never really got it because of how capricious Doona was.

The chemistry is palpable, but Suzy (who doesn't really stand out for her acting) didn't know how to handle the complexity of Doona's character.

I haven't really read the webtoon, I just watched the drama. I don't know if it's because I needed more chapters or what but in the end I felt empty.

I don't think (and I hope for Won Jun's mental well-being) that they will stay together. They were just two people who met through life circumstances. You know? You don't always have to stay with that person. And even more so with a person who does not know how to manage and take responsibility for their actions or feelings. That can be very destructive for you.

I'm enjoy the drama? Not really. The only thing I liked is the cinematography, Doona's look and the performance of the actor who played Won Jun.

I recommend it? I don't know, if you enjoyed the turbulent relationship of the protagonists of Nevertheless, I can say watch it. If, on the other hand, you don't like this type of relationship, then I recommend that you don't watch it.

It is also my opinion, you can see for yourself if this drama is for you or not.

The worst remake I have ever seen.

Before starting this series, I was excited to see Win as the protagonist. But when I saw the first episode I knew this was going to be a disaster, unfortunately I was right.

The Korean version is a very important series for me because I identify with both Sumi and Mi-rae. I could feel the pain that they both had to endure what toxic society demands of us women. Be beautiful, thin and kind to the point of hurting yourself so that this cruel world will accept and love you. They both suffered in different ways, but they were both hurt in the process of being accepted.

Here the first thing I felt was that Liu did not carry the same burden and they did not judge her as much for her operation. Which is a crucial point because Mi-rae by having to go through those horrible criticisms of hers was able to overcome, accept and love herself as she was no matter what others said about her.

Secondly, his great hatred towards Guy was problematic. She made the character frustrating until the end. She could unconditionally trust anyone she barely knew, except Guy, who she really hated for no reason. It is very ridiculous and her character was not well written or well executed by the actress. I really think it was a bad decision for the actress to take this role, she didn't really convey any kind of sympathy or compassion for what an idiot she was.

Guy... Well, I started watching this because I was excited to see Win. But the minutes on screen were so few that it made the chemistry between him and the actress difficult. He didn't acting well either, he looked like a robot. Unable to resolve or help Liu like Kyung Seok did with Mi-rae. I think he still needs a lot of training to act.

Faye... the actress acted well. I think she is the only redeemable one in terms of acting. But her story was ridiculous. Her motives of hatred towards Liu were also. Sumi hated because a friend of hers stole the boy she liked for an operation. Not because of whether she had money or not. She really lived in a pigsty. She barely had a mattress on the floor to sleep on. Still, she Faye complained when she even had a computer to streaming lol.

The ending was just as disappointing for me. I really wasn't expecting anything at this point but it still managed to disappoint me even more.

I liked that Sumi made a change in her hair, and she who hated perfumes will start using them. I also liked seeing that there was a psychologist to treat her mental problems. And the conversation she had with Kyung Seok.
I also think it was a good decision for Sumi to take a break from university so she could be better about herself. And although she and Mi-rae didn't become friends, it was a nice gesture that she returned to university just to give Mi-rae the perfume she always used to wear as a gift from her.

With the damage that Sumi did to Mi-rae, it was totally normal that they couldn't be friends but that Sumi, in her own way, thanked her and asked for forgiveness.

Faye and Liu... they could never be friends with someone who really wanted to see you destroyed. That's not credible.

Saint was really annoying, when the sunbae's character was actually very kind and understanding. He seemed more of a protagonist than Guy and that was the case until the end. I also didn't feel that friendship that Kyung Seok formed with his sunbae. The only thing Saint did was bother.

And what can I say about the final kiss? Nothing really romantic and everything very forced. Since Liu spent most of his time hating him, they couldn't have had chemistry. It also seemed like Win was being forced. He and the actress really had no chemistry at all.

The Korean version's message is much deeper but no one wants to watch it because it's "boring." So what was this?

It was torture to watch it, but I told myself I was going to finish watching it so I could have all my thoughts about this remake clear in my head.

And no, I didn't want it to be exactly the same. I don't criticize him for that. A remake always brings new things and that's great. But here time was wasted on so many absurd things that the essence of the original work itself was lost (I'm referring to the webtoon).

The director and the screenwriter really did a very bad job.

So no, I don't recommend it at all. I know there will be people who will like it but from my point of view if you are looking for a well-defined message, with romance and chemistry, just don't watch it.

I for one will pretend this drama never existed and will never watch it again.

A stairway to heaven type Makjang, in this era. Really?

When the drama started and became very viral, I was very reluctant to watch it. It has happened to me that they have made some dramas very popular and when I decide to watch it, I'm like "So much fuss about this?" That's really what happened here.

When I read that Koreans themselves started calling this drama "Makjang" I assumed something was really going to go wrong. And I wasn't wrong at all.

It is truly a "Makjang". You know those dramas where meaningless things begin to happen here and there, deadly diseases that magically disappear, overly typical topics like memory loss and starting over again, again.

The first part was good. I'm not really going to make a big deal out of what the reason for their divorce was. As the protagonist explains at the end, many times when you get married (I have never been married but I say this because I am the daughter of divorced parents) or when you go out with someone. There is no single reason to separate from that person you love nor is there a single reason to overflow the camel's back. There are thousands of reasons, stupid fights that begin to become more frequent and wear down the couple, not sitting down to talk to solve problems, not communicating to your partner that attitudes that bother you about their character in a calm way, no, everything always ends. in fights and in a sentencevery typical but real "Can't talk to you". So that ends up wearing down the relationship and you end up making the decision to leave that person. It is also very common that when there is a loss of a baby, couples end up separating. It seems stupid, but losing a baby does a lot of damage to the relationship and even more so when neither party manages their feelings and supports each other in that difficult moment. So I really don't think there is one reason, there are thousands of reasons why a couple ends up breaking up. So I won't be too harsh in that regard.

But the second part is a disaster, really stupid things happen, why? not at all. Just to add more unnecessary drama.

And the ending... ugh I'm not going to lie, I did cry at the ending. After everything the protagonist did for the protagonist, does he see himself as an adult visiting her grave? When I saw that older man climbing the stairs they climbed together when he was younger I already feared the worst. And everything came true, when I saw the name of the protagonist embodied on her tomb.

I really don't know what I expected if this is a Makjang. It was obvious that things were not going to end well and the ending would be sad. Like any drama of this style. But at least I would have liked to see more moments of the couple again and not just random flashbacks that conveyed nothing to me.

The acting was great and the cinematography was great too, but actors alone can't save a poorly written drama. Even if they are the best actors. At least their performances made this a little lighter to watch.

I recommend it? I'm sorry to say this, because I love both actors, but no, I don't recommend it. Unless you like Makjang dramas.

A very overrated drama

Many people are going to hate me because they have mostly good grades.

But I really don't think this is good at all. Bringing out the chemistry and acting of the actors.

There really is no story here. He's like a complete copy of Goblin, even when he disappears from the from the human world lol

Why, if he is a demon, and even though he has lost his powers, does he not use them at crucial moments? I don't understand it, honestly. He just had to take Dohee's wrist to use them.

And when he got them back, why couldn't he take on a simple human? lol

The cinematography is okay, I wouldn't say it's spectacular but it's decent. The office looks nothing like an office of a rich company. You can see the difference between the office they used in Marry My Husband with this and you'll see what I mean.

The OST was decent but it's not something you would never forget in your life. It's actually pretty forgettable.

I think I understand why people like this drama, because of the actors and the chemistry. But you know even though their chemistry was good and their acting too, you can't just save a drama when there is no story itself.

It seems like a compilation of several dramas, not united, and with a lot of cliché.

I really tried to like it but if there is no story and it is just a set of dramas and scenes from popular dramas of this style, there is no way I will like it.

Another overrated drama

The reason I was so reluctant to watch this drama was Park Shin Hye. She is not my favorite actress at all. I always thought she was very unprofessional, especially in the kissing scenes. She always looked like she was being assaulted in the kissing scenes. I never understood why he kept getting involved in romantic dramas if he was uncomfortable doing kissing scenes. That made his colleagues also feel uncomfortable. I remember in The Heirs, it was in the script that they had to kiss for real but she was "surprised" but in the end they "were able to do it" when she literally left Lee Min Hoo like he was forcing her or something.

But on the other hand there was Park Hyung Sik. So I decided to see him.

This drama started well but as it progressed it became more chaotic and boring. They didn't evolve, they continued to behave as if they were in high school. Much of the misunderstandings they had were because they did not know how to solve problems like two adults.

And it is disappointing that the secondary couple had a more realistic development and with more chemistry than the main characters themselves.

I have seen many dramas that portray depression and parents being unable to understand that being "successful" at work or academically is not the only thing that makes you feel really good about yourself or be happy.

I can say that they addressed the topic decently. Although if you are taking psychiatrist pills you should not drink, we all know that, right? I have really gotten used to the Korean alcohol culture, they always use some excuse to drink, but when you are under psychiatric treatment you should not drink or ingest other substances. It doesn't matter if they wanted to add a "cute" touch to it. It's not right for you to give that message. So I would say that they handled that situation in a very sloppy way.

When the mystery is over, the drama goes downhill and becomes very boring. Believe me, it took me 15 days to finish this drama because I was getting incredibly bored.

Honestly there was no chemistry between the protagonists. I think it would have been better if they remained friends. Their relationship was fine the way it was.
I honestly think it was unnecessary to add romance between the two of them.

Although Park Shin Hye seems to have improved her dislike of kissing scenes a bit. He wouldn't say it was a breakthrough or that there was a big passionate scene. He still can't create chemistry with his co-workers.

Park Shin Hye you are not forced to do romantic dramas. You can do thriller or mystery dramas. I think that would suit her better.

The acting was decent, I wouldn't say it was extraordinary. If not decent, nothing more. From both main actors.

The very forgettable ost. The cinematography doesn't stand out either.

The only thing I can say that the notable acting were the secondary ones. And what kept me watching this drama was only the secondary couple.

I can recommend many dramas that deal with mental health better. This for me is not recommended.

I don't know what title to give this

Well I saw negative reviews before I started watching it because I was actually looking for something to watch and this drama came up. I said "well I'll give it a chance, maybe I'll like it and it won't be so bad."

It's not bad but it's not good either.
I mean that all the protagonists here are garbage, morally speaking.

I mean, the protagonist is so stupid. What's wrong with not being rich? Why do you always blame your bad decisions with the excuse that you are poor?

I know that in Korea people really die to buy brand name things, if you don't have them you're trash. I've talked to Koreans and believe me the only brand they know is Chanel. They have a very big obsession with that brand and having things from that brand. I have seen Korean influencers who only upload their bags, their shoes, their earrings or anything that is Chanel.
Also a guy asked me what brand my cell phone was, I told him it was Samsung. When I told him that, he was surprised and he told me why don't you have an iPhone? I was a little confused at that time, because Samsung is a very famous brand and it is from Korea. So I asked a close Korean friend about this and she said "believe it or not, people who use Samsung are considered poor" and I was like "What the hell? It's just a damn cell phone." Here in my country it has also become popular that you should use iPhone. So maybe I can try to understand why the protagonist is so obsessed with appearing rich.

But come on, you're stupid and it's not because you're poor.
There really aren't any plot twists that you don't assume are going to happen. Nothing is really surprising.

Plus I don't understand why they all end up sleeping with Yeri's friend's boyfriend, if they don't even really like him.

I don't see a clear "hierarchy" between poor or rich people.
Besides, the school is a park or what? How can you be at school at night, like it's a public park or something lol.

Clearly there are things too absurd, so much so that he came to consider this as a Makjae.

It was obvious, and with how short the drama is, that nothing was going to have a final resolution. So I knew they were doing this to make a second season.

Which I really won't see. It's not worth it because FL has no personal growth at any time. At no point does he think that he should change those silly ideas in his head.

Furthermore, he also did not fully understand why if you are not rich you want to go to a rich school. You really don't have to be very smart to know that if you go to a rich school, you will be treated like trash.

I had a boyfriend who had a double life. He loved having expensive things and surrounding himself with people who were rich. But none of his "friends" had seen his house. According to him, because his house was poor and had damp stains on the wall. I always thought his house was nice, but that's when I discovered that he lied compulsively about what his lifestyle was like. He was 27 years old at the time, I was 20 years old. But he wanted a great job, with a position "that was right" for him and to earn a lot of money. But he didn't even leave his house to look for a job lol
(and no, it wasn't Korean).

So I never really understood and will never understand that need to want to go to a rich school or university. Sooner or later the truth will come out that you are lying.

And honestly, I have studied in private schools. Not because I wanted to, but because my parents thought I would have "a better education." I really ended up shying away from going to those schools because if they found out you were there for a scholarship, they would treat you like shit.

And I'm not rich, I just come from a very hard-working family. So when I had to go to university, I preferred it to be one where there were people like me. That they did not come from upper middle class or high class families.

So i'm didn't really understand that thought.

The performances were decent, not great but not bad either.

The cinematography was not something that stood out either. It was average. And the music didn't match the drama.

So there is nothing meaningful to see in this drama. In the pyramid game, there were also only 10 episodes and some of the protagonists were their debut roles and they did it as if they had been working in the industry for a long time.
And he achieved what he had to fix, without illogical things involved and well-constructed characters.

I recommend it? I really doubt it. Although the drama is short, it is boring and the plot is extremely stupid. I think your time would be better spent watching a much better drama than this one.

This is not a cult work at all.

First of all, we are going to talk about the origin of this story Takami, the original author, only came up with this because of a dream he had after watching a drama. He later wanted to make a poorly done "criticism" of Japanese society. This was rejected by the publisher since the government had banned any non-educational content, after the Kobe murders, which were perpetuated by a 14-year-old boy and with the mentality of a psychopath of a 30-year-old man.

Likewise, when the film was made, the director invited teenagers under 15 years of age to go see it, despite the Japanese government's prohibition, accusing it of censorship, when there was a compelling reason why the government had prohibited kids see this.

With this premise and a director who was extremely irresponsible for what he could cause, I didn't expect much from this.

I only watched it because I was interested in why the girl called "nebada tan" had become so obsessed with this. Well, actually, although you are a psychiatrist, you never know that she is really going through the head of a murderer, and even more so when she is as young as she is as a child. Importantly, this girl's strict psychiatric regimen was extended because she was becoming more and more apathetic, less social, and more aggressive, and the experts did not know the reason why she was not getting better, but was getting worse. She was only released when she turned 21, I still don't think so. Like the 14-year-old boy, they were people who could integrate back into society.

That being said, when I saw it yesterday it was torture to watch. 2 hours of what? Of seeing teenagers killing each other and seeing the decay of their psyche until they become murderers. The exchange student was already a danger from the beginning, but since he is dedicated only to killing, and does not speak, nothing is delved into why he is like that and what his objective really was. Survive? I really doubt it. Plus he had infinite bullets lol.

What was the message at the end? Where was the reflection? How did this program benefit the students' non-violent behavior? Nothing is clear. You just see kids constantly killing others.

The acting didn't help matters. When they died, it seemed like a parody or something.

I am one of the people who cannot "enjoy" (that's a way of saying it because I didn't really enjoy it) if there is no message or at least a reflection.

When there was going to be a sequel, it was postponed until the Nevada Tan controversy subsided.

None of the directors really realized the serious consequences this had caused.

Even comparing Sthepen King to Takami is an insult to Sthepen King himself. Although some of Stephen King's books are difficult to understand, there is always a real reflection or criticism in each book. Here Takami doesn't achieve that at all and the director even less so.

People who find it fun and fascinating to see how children kill each other have a big problem.

A drama that I'm still waiting for a second season like a fool.

I really liked this drama a lot. I was able to perfectly understand the protagonist, a girl immersed in the control and pressure of her mother who little by little reveals herself thanks to the love of the protagonist and her friend.

I understand a little about her mother, wanting to overprotect her, but as a person who still has to continue rebelling against her father despite my age, I think it is not healthy to overprotect your children and much less throw all your traumas on your daughter, saying that all men are bad. Of course there are many bad men today but there are also good ones like the protagonist, who helped her find herself and come out of her shell.

I really liked the boy's performance, I think it was his first leading role and although there is enormous reluctance for idols to act because "they act badly."He really acted very well, I liked how sweet and protective he was with her but I also really so liked his sudden change of expression when he got angry and confronted the protagonist's "supposed" friend telling him that he was trash.

I loved the actress who played her friend, she was happy and fun and pushed her friend to do something new, but she was also very smart and insightful. She along with the protagonist were the first to realize how twisted her "supposed" friend was. I really liked the scene where she invites him out for coffee and confronts him, making him angry and making him show his true colors. She really cared a lot about her friend.

Then the protagonist's friend was a little annoying but it was fun at the same time, I liked that dynamic they had with the protagonist's friend.

It was heartbreaking for both sides, the confrontation that the two protagonists had with their parents. They really made you feel like you wanted to hug them and tell them that everything was going to be solved. At least the protagonist achieved an agreement and understanding with her mother. It's a shame that the protagonist couldn't reach an agreement with his father (who was a pig) and his mother. But he at least knew the truth and could say everything he had wanted to say for years.

The actor who played the second one really acted very well. It really scared me a lot. And even more so when he pushed the protagonist against a glass and grabbed her wrist so that she couldn't leave.

The chemistry between the protagonists was pleasant. It made me feel butterflies in my stomach.

The only thing I didn't like is that we really don't know why the secondary acted that way, they give us clues but they didn't delve into it well. It even became evident that he had family problems as well but nothing was delved into about it either. And the couple of the protagonist's friend and the protagonist's friend were left in a "we'll see."

When the final chapter ends, it is implied that there would be a second season, but 3 and a half years have passed and nothing. So I don't think there will be a second season. It's a shame because I wanted to continue seeing more about the development of the protagonists' relationship and that they will go into more depth about the secondary and what kind of problems tormented him so that he became someone who was scary.

But in general I highly recommend it. The chapters don't last long, it entertains you from the first chapter and you can spend a pleasant afternoon watching it.

I really don't accept a bad review for this drama. I'm sorry.

Let's see, let's start from the beginning. It is normal that there was no relationship between them from the first chapter. That would be illogical and I will explain why.

The protagonist is an orphan, and lived for a long time in the orphanage. He really didn't have a good time at the orphanage, he hates his father and his family. For him, his only family was his mother. He only gets along with his aunt, she is the only one who to a certain extent, always sets a limit, because he is afraid of getting hurt. And he also can't see.

The protagonist obviously falls in love with him at first sight, she herself admits that she is very in love, and he reminds her later when she regains her sight. It's fun to see how she tries to be closer to him but he always stops her. He is not hard on her nor is he hurtful to her, but there are things that he does not like her to do, such as her attitude towards orphaned children. Obviously she doesn't do it with bad intentions, he understands that but he also wants to make her see that these attitudes can only harm them.

Slowly he gets used to her and eventually they fall in love.

She does things to him that he was not used to doing and she is the only one with whom he breaks that barrier and lets himself see what he is like and all his childhood wounds.

Here I want to emphasize two important points:
1. His mother did not accept their relationship because he was blind.
2. I don't know if they skipped parts or are stupid. She NEVER wanted to study psychology, she only followed the desire of her mother, who wanted to manage her life even though she was an adult. Her mother even thought about finding her a job because she "should" be a teacher like her father. Her vocation and what she liked most was music (that's why she was obsessed with knowing who was the composer of the music she was listening to, who turned out to be the protagonist, who always wanted to remain anonymous with a fake man, so that the media will not get involved in your life private) and the locution. That's why, secretly from his mother, she did internships at a radio station. Who is really not interested in psychology, no matter how much they study it, will quickly forget what they are learning, because she did not even pay attention in class because she was not interested in psychology at all and she always made it clear.

The thing about her being childish, maybe she is a little bit, but I really understand her reaction to finding out by surprise that her two best friends were having something. First, because him best friend had ambiguous attitudes towards her and that made her think that he might like her. The second thing, what really hurt her was the betrayal. She told everything to her two best friends and they knew everything about her, it's really ugly to give all your trust to your best friends and they know everything about you but no one dared to tell her what was happening, but she found out by surprise. . The two friends were wrong there, and she had reasons to be angry with them. She then took it all in and forgave that.

Their breaking point is understandable. The protagonist was not being capricious, her father was sick (another bad thing her mother did was hide from her that her father was hospitalized) and the protagonist here did act selfishly. He didn't want to let her go because he believed it was a trap by FL's mother to separate them. Even though she promised to return, he continued to insist. Which caused her to waste time and when she arrived her father was already dead, and she loved her father because he was the only one who let her do whatever she wanted with her life.

He obviously had compelling reasons not to forgive him. And she remained in that position for a long time, it was not easy for her to forgive ML even though she loved him.

Then... well she loved him a lot so she ended up forgiving him. Her relationship from then on was very beautiful and healthy.

But the friends were not there for decoration. Thanks to his friends he was able to find out about the trauma his girlfriend was suffering. Clearly he had never seen that friend that she always mentioned. Which had seemed strange to him at first, but after finding out he knew that her trauma was so great, that his psyche, to protect her, created like an imaginary friend representing his friend from the childhood.

At that moment, he did not pressure her or bring up the subject because first she went to consult with a psychiatrist and the psychiatrist explained to her that making her relive that moment could be very counterproductive for her. So he only dedicated himself to being there for her and that she gradually let go of that imaginary friend.

The ending was beautiful. It allows us to see the traumas that all people have, the importance of having someone by your side to face it, what it is like to suffer blindness, the prejudice that exists behind these people and that love is love, it does not matter if that person has a special condition.

They have a healthy relationship, where both help each other improve themselves and fulfill their dreams.

I really don't understand why people didn't understand anything at all. You just had to sit down and read, it was all written there and it wasn't difficult to understand.

The performances exceeded my expectations and the soundtrack was very beautiful.
And the chemistry between the actors was palpable.

If you want to watch a modern Chinese drama, which explores all this and with healthy love. This is the drama for you. I would even go so far as to say that it is mandatory watch this drama..

A brutal drama that makes you see how rotten society is today

I don't know how to adjust my emotions correctly after finishing watching it.

I think that even if you don't like this type of genre, you should see it at least once in your life. It will really give you a 180° turn and make you reflect on the rotten and disgusting society we have become.

It really is not an easy series to watch, the first chapters seem innocent but then everything becomes so brutal, so violent both physically and psychologically, that in many moments you will question if you want to continue living in a world like this. So morbid and repulsive.

Would you do anything for money even if it means physically and psychologically torturing other human beings? Would you sell your humanity and your morals even if it means killing other people? What would happen to you after leaving a program after doing so many atrocities? Would your life remain the same or would your conscience torment you until it drives you mad? Is it really worth it to become an object of entertainment for a morbid audience?

This drama is a very harsh social critique and slaps you in the face very hard.

Unlike the Squid Game, here a very clear message is really given about the rotten society in which we are living.

People who pay money to see the suffering of others because it "amuses" them, out of morbidity and because they are apparently "bored" of always seeing the same thing.

"A poor person shouldn't be so coveted, right?" Those were number 1's last words after he died. His death left a great emotional impact on me. He wasn't a bad person at all, he was just a person who was looking for a better life for his family.

Some characters, like number 8 and number 6 who had no morality at all. They were sick people who enjoyed inflicting physical pain, being very violent and torture of all kinds.

Then we have number 7. I think he is the most difficult character to understand. His morality is lost at times but in the end he is a person who knows that he cannot change this rotten society. I don't know if he feels happy, but rather guilty. That is why he gives a large sum of money to number 1's family so that they can live comfortably for the rest of their lives. He somehow tries to find redemption, but in the end he gives up because she knows that he can't change this rotten world.

The characters who kept their morality intact are the protagonist, number 5, number 2 and the other girl who I don't remember which floor she belongs to.

The protagonist cannot return to his normal life for several months, they have destroyed him so much psychologically that he tries to commit suicide several times. He feels guilty and disgusted but can't let himself forget. That's why he spends a lot of money to give number 1 a funeral. He cannot forget why an innocent person has died, because he cannot forget the torture that he and his companions suffered by a disgusting and morbid public.

Sociologically and psychologically it is a drama that must be studied. To be able to try to understand the great decadence of human beings who have become so twisted and enjoy seeing other people suffer on a screen.

Everyone does anything for a like or to become famous or an influencer. And the public is eager to follow their life and their problems or what they are capable of doing to have followers.

Social networks and these types of reality shows, which are still in force, have atrophied our brain and have revealed how dark and morbid human beings can be. That crosses any boundary of morality or empathy.

Violence has become part of our lives and we have normalized it. As if it were nothing serious, just a morbid enjoyment of human beings.

I sincerely believe that at this point society has no redemption and the drama completely shows this, sadly. And we are going to continue getting worse, which worries me the most.

I have nothing to complain about this drama. The performances have exceeded my expectations, the soundtrack is incredible, as is the cinematography, and the message has been consistent and clear.

I'm just not expecting a second season. I think there is nothing more to prove, everything has been demonstrated perfectly and the message has been consistent, harsh but realistic.

I sincerely believe that this drama is a cult work. Which should overcome the phenomenon that caused The Squid Game. I think it is at a much higher level.

I recommend it? Of course yes, even if you don't like this type of genre, you should see it at least once in your life.

Would I see her again? Yes, but not at the moment. She has worn me out a lot psychologically.

I really think that it is the best drama of 2024 and I think that no drama can surpass it.

Even if you are sensitive, you should see it. To realize in the society we are living in, the great human decadence and what really happens in reality.

Curiosity killed the cat.

That's exactly what happened to me. I fell in love with the ost and the trailer seemed promising but it was all a hoax!

I don't know who wrote this, but even a 5 year old can make a decent story. This is beyond mediocre. I remember watching this and thinking, "what the hell is going on here?" because you literally don't understand anything, from the beginning or to the end.

I don't know how they could make this a 50-chapter story where there was nothing to tell. There is literally nothing to tell because you understand absolutely nothing of what you are "supposedly" trying to tell.

And will the ending clarify anything for you? Guess what? No! He will leave you with even more doubts and you will find yourself wondering if the director was on any substance when he did this.
So you, if you read this. Don't even think about wasting your time watching this, really. It's not worth 5 seconds of your time.

I'll only give the OST a 10 because it was the only thing I liked, the rest is garbage.

An honest opinion after watching the drama 3 times.

Everyone acted well. Harassment really exists, I don't understand how there are people who still can't believe that this exists.

In a society as empty and superficial as Korea, being beautiful is the most important thing in your life.

Honestly, speaking from a person who has been harassed to the extreme, I could easily empathize with the protagonist. It didn't make me cry like My ID is beauty Gangnam but I could easily empathize with it.

There are two things that I will not be able to tolerate and forgive about this drama and they were two things (maybe they will hate me for this because everyone loves SML, but really? To torment someone who was once your best friend so much for your suicide another friend, when it had nothing to do with it? Seojun didn't even want to listen to Sooho's words about what had really happened that night, not even once. Until he accidentally overhears the argument that Sooho is having with his father, where he was able to get out all the pain that he had carried inside for years and that had also traumatized him so much.
That's why I don't have secondary school syndrome.
And then there is Soo Jin, I know that her family life was problematic but she has no justification for having betrayed Joo Kyung, who really loved her and had confessed his biggest secret to her, because he trusted her.

I go from competing with Sooho for
school grades to considering it as something of their own. As if Joo Kyung was taking away something that was never his. I really liked how Sooho marked a boundary between him and her and at the same time protected her girlfriend so that she won't be hurt anymore. Honestly, if it had been Joo Kyung, I wouldn't have forgiven her so easily. Because this could have turned into something much worse than her situation at the other school, if it wasn't for Sooho and Seojun protecting her so much. I have to admit that I really liked that Seojun will confront Joo Kyung's bullies in a tough and forceful way.

But the breakup between Joo Kyung and Sooho seemed stupid to me. First of all because she was the one who made the first mistake of not telling him about the photo shoot she had with Seojun. It is obvious that anyone would get angry, especially if you know perfectly well that the person who took those photos with your partner really has an interest in her and after you force him to hide your relationship with him but don't have any problems seeing yourself back in rumors with another person. Although Sooho didn't act well at all, I can totally understand her anger.

Although Joo Kyung did have personal progress, which never happens in weebtoon and that was a relief for me. Herself confronting her former stalkers (although the scene was very funny it was also very meaningful). And that she would no longer be afraid to go out on the street without makeup and would accept herself as she was.

The drama is very funny and everyone acted very well.

I wouldn't say that it is a drama with a very spectacular or special plot but you are very entertained. From the first episode to the end.

I really liked all the changes they made regarding the weebtoon. Generally I am one of the people who likes them to be faithful to their original work. But I have read the weebtoon from beginning to end. It doesn't really leave you any moral or reflection on anything. It's too superficial. It really took me a lot to finish reading it. What didn't happen to me with the drama, so it was a relief that many things that were very poorly done in the weebtoon will change.

When I saw the first episode I was so excited, I said "this is going to be a great drama." But slowly my disappointment grew even more. I didn't really mind that the teenagers shared themselves like more adult people. In The Glory, it was perfectly shown that although they were not of legal age, they partied, drank, had sex and smoked. Things that teenagers usually do. The Elite thing didn't bother me either, it is known that if you are the son of a Chaebol family you can escape from everything bad you are doing and if you are a scholarship recipient they will treat you like shit. What bothered me were several things:

1. I don't know anything about the protagonist. I don't know if he has a family or how he managed to get into this high "prestige" school. We didn't even know where he lived or anything about his family. Big mistake

2. The separation of the protagonist with the secondary one. It really looked like they were divorced or something and they're teenagers for God's sake!

3. The revenge was never fulfilled and was totally predictable. If they wanted to portray bullying and the power of bullies, they did not succeed.

4. I really don't have much criticism of the actress's performance. I think that she did seem emotionless because she was raised that way, by her father. Even when she opens up to the protagonist she says that it is like that because she has been raised that way and she doesn't know how to act any other way, because of the terror she had of her father. But here there is a problem, I think I am going to disagree with some people but for me she did have chemistry with him ML, but not with his ex-partner.

5. Even though I managed to empathize with FL, her behavior towards her ex-boyfriend became frustrating for me. It was an extremely toxic relationship. He considered her "his", as if she were her property and did horrible things so that no one would come near her. He kept her isolated, like a toy belonging to her. And when ML wanted to go against her partner, she protected him and threatened the protagonist. She is really stupid, and gives an extremely dangerous message

6. "Revenge" was replaced by a failed love triangle.

7. "Emotional dependence." In the end she thanks her ex-boyfriend because according to her she was able to survive thanks to her. That is not surviving, it is emotionally depending on your partner to the point that the relationship became extremely toxic.

8. In the end the "revenge" came to nothing, with a very stupid resolution. What I liked.

1. In my opinion Lee Chae Min, he did a great job as an actor. He actually portrayed very well when he was pretending to be kind and how his features transformed when his hatred or contempt was reborn.

2. I really did see the chemistry between FL and ML, unfortunately this was spoiled thanks to the fact that FL was so obsessed with defending her ex-partner, which was extremely violent and toxic.

3. I think although I would have liked FL and ML to end up together. I think it was a good decision that she won't keep any of them. That she will confront her father, she will lose the fear that she had of him and she will abandon her life of luxury to go find her biological mother and she will decide to live a life without luxury. She needed to find herself and know what she really wanted for herself. You can't properly love anyone if you don't even know what you want or who you really are.

4. The imaging was really beautiful. You can tell they put a lot of budget into this drama but unfortunately if the plot seems like a jumble of things, that's not going to save the drama. In conclusion, I would say that the acting was decent but the drama was very poorly written. Many compare it to Elite, I haven't really seen it because I don't like series in Spanish, so I couldn't talk about that because I haven't seen Elite. I can only compare it to The Glory. The series really had potential but for me it is too greedy to want to create a similar plot with only 9 chapters. If the script had been well written and had 16 chapters, the story would have been different. Unfortunately it was not like that. Do I recommend it? I couldn't say. The first few episodes were interesting and I enjoyed them but if you are looking for a drama that addresses these themes and has romance, I really don't recommend it. And even more so when the obsession and justification for your partner being obsessive, very toxic and violent is highly romanticized.

The best drama of the year, without a doubt!

I really had high expectations for this drama because it was only about women.
Don't get me wrong, I like romance but in this drama there was no place for men or fighting over men. It was a sinister battle between women.

It's really interesting that they will use the concept of the pyramid. Because that's really what happens in all aspects of life. Whoever possesses wealth, power and beauty are above others. And the lowest of us must survive, as the protagonist and her friends did.

There is no black or white here, there are nuances in some characters. Many girls did not want to play this game but they had to do so to survive the macabre game that the antagonist had created.

I love Sooji's intelligence. At first she is strong and tries to survive, after seeing Myung Ja Eun she changes her focus and knows that she needs to destroy the game that Ha Rin created so that she can receive punishment from her and end the bullying.
The actress really did a great job. Although her personality is calm, upon being involved in this game and being a victim, she is extremely intelligent to little by little build a rebellion among the girls and cause Har Rin's pyramid to be destroyed little by little. It is too satisfying to see how she and her friends triumph in the end and give Ha rin a game over.

Not only does it show intense bullying, but it also makes me think that sometimes women are our own worst enemies.

I was very happy to see that a teacher really cared about what was happening and didn't really care about losing her job if she had to protect one of her students.
She didn't turn a blind eye to what was happening, like other teachers.

I'm didn't take it as a really feminist drama, perhaps a little because they showed the love relationship between two girls (I loved that), but as a rebellion against bullying and her own parents who put everything they wanted into their daughters.

I also love both reflections that the protagonist makes. The first is a talk she has with Myung Ja, which makes her understand that it doesn't matter that she led Ha Rin to be the way she was. It had no justification, in the end she was just a harasser who made excuses for her past, which was not as serious as what she did, to be a harasser and rely on "I was also a victim once."

The second reflection that I really liked was that she was also a spectator. This happens when she sees a group of girls walk past her, who were clearly harassing a girl. In the past she wouldn't have cared, because she just wanted to have a peaceful school life and not get involved in those problems (there she recognizes that she was also a spectator) but now she turned around to face these situations and save someone who is being harassed.

I also liked that each girl who stayed by Sooji's side took it as a lost dream or losing privileges from their parents, because they believed that since they were spectators, they also deserved punishment. For looking into the past and doing nothing to stop it.

It is clearly seen at the end that two twins enter, ready to play the pyramid game again, but when Sooji sees them and smiles, you know that won't happen again. She won't let it happen again. She is ready for another battle, but this time she is not alone, this time she has her friends on her side to stop this.

The performances were perfect. I read that some actresses were just making their acting debut, but they really did an impeccable job.

The soundtrack made you feel tense all the time not knowing what twist the plot was going to take, because there really are no cliché twists here. There are twists here that you don't even expect to happen and that leaves you trapped in each chapter.

The cinematography is perfect too.

There's really nothing wrong that I've found. Or maybe it is... that it is so underflown! This drama is really much better and superior than many dramas we have been watching so far and it is not that popular. That bothers me a lot!

In general, I stick with this reflection: "If you see that someone is a victim of abuse, don't look to the side, go and help them. Who knows if tomorrow you won't be in their place."
