good, fun, intriguing, cute & so-so xD
hur hyunjun's acting is good, the way he portrayed go yoo han's easygoing straightforward fun loving kinda impulsive personality.. i didn't think i'd like a boy with mask on throughout the half of a movie this much but his voice did the job. (i actually like him more when he's wearing the mask xD.)you'll surely learn a lot of color names watching this movie / series. also some random fun facts about colors. the story seems to have ended abruptly & i think there should be a sequel. i didn't read the book it's based on but i'm thinking i should, to know if there's more to their story.., it's a low budget movie with so-so acting and all. like most of the bls out there. but if you're into bls, i do recommend it. it's nice. the group of friends is really fun. also, for me it was intriguing and if you like thinking, or like to read between the lines, this movie / series could turn out to be more than just another romance story for you.
quick comment on the music. they're good on their own (the line "take my hand, i'll let you go" is on repeat in my head xD)
but i don't think the bgm fit in with the drama for many parts. to me, the music seemed out of place at times. the soundtrack is really important for me and i'm not so happy about this one's. will see if a rewatch can change my mind.
one last note, i read some reviews here and there that say this movie gives a wrong / problematic message & encourages unhealthy / obsessive relationship. i don't think that's the case. the protagonist is an unreliable narrator. idk if you're familiar with the notion but yeon woo thinks a lot of his feelings are due to obsession. that's because his mind is preoccupied with fear. he always presumes his feelings are rooted from the possible negative sides of the mono-probe situation. however imo he's not quite correct about this. he was unable to distinguish love from obsession due to the many common / similar aspects of these two feelings.
nevertheless, love and obsession can coexist. in reality, this story didn't really show either of them hurting the other because of that obsession nor did it encourage anything like that. it only exists in the form of fear, rationally so, which they overcome by the end of the story.

nostalgia, for me
just rewatched this movie. director's cut again, of course. it's as good to me as it was 5/6 years ago. if not even better. there are little details i noticed this time that i missed the last time. like the director's guest appearance or the beatles & elvis presley posters or the little prince photo album cover, etc.. my overall focus on the movie got somewhat redistributed. mew remains my very much favorite. tang remains a mystery. ying & tong got a beautiful friendship, that's something i almost forgot about. also, x & mew's friendship.what's more, i understand tong a bit differently this time; the timeline of changes in his thoughts and feelings & growth. which is why my interpretation of the ending shifted a bit. idk if i should be sad about that or what. but it's more difficult this time to accept it haha.
as for mew, i think i understand him better now, though not differently. like, the posters on his room wall & the resuscitation event.. or the ending scene. these really tell more about his character.
one thing is, after this time, i really wanna watch it in hq, to enjoy the cinematography. i only now realize the visual of this movie is actually really good!
btw, after love of siam, pchy said he'd prefer working behind the scenes more rather than being in the spotlight. and now he's the executive producer of the drama "the yearbook". it's got a bit of los vibe i'd say. and although idk how much he was involved in the making process of the drama, i like to think this kinda shows how los left a long running impact on him. and i'm happy for him.
(it's pchy's birthday in 2 days. advanced happy birthday and all the good wishes.)

pretty fun. kinda chaotic. it gets better, you'll see.
it's quite fun. i'm a fan of this kinda reality shows in general, camp out and stuff. enjoyed watching all the boys together again. they make a great team despite the differences in their personalities.yu isn't much active in the first episode, as expected lol, but i still missed him xD
it's super cute when he wants to buy the cups for all six of them. & how ray talks him out of it lol.
after watching this, i'm just loving everything about zihong even more. like when he says instant noodles are unhealthier than snacks, or when he insists on not exceeding the allowance..
he's adorable, fun & responsible. i love how he throws a lot of random knowledge every now & then xD
what else, i didn't know richard li plays the violin. and he plays so well. and i love the ost so so much. can't believe they all sang a song together. and i'm just so in love with sam's eyes ayaaaaa <3
the last few episodes are more fun and enjoyable.
ps, yu chatting with only emojis will never be not funny :3
pps, i miss samyu interactions :(

gorgeous, i'm dazed
i've never seen a thai production anything quite like this. it's so good in so many ways, idk where to start. it's simply my favorite thai drama & one of the most favorite drama from any country at all.billkin & pp portrayed their characters so so well.. (tho it took me a rewatch to like billkin's acting better).
would love to watch pp again in some other drama.
um, currently i'm lost in oh-aew.
the first half of the series, i laughed a lot. the second half i cried. oh-aew is so beautiful, it was breaking my heart every time he got sad..
and, okay, it's official, music of any production can do inexplicable things to me kkkk.
i might come back and add more thoughts.
currently rewatching for the 4th time ?
a must watch series. 10/10 for me. i'm just being critical and giving it a 9.5 for now.

just to remember i'd been here and had fun exploring all the tests tests tests tests.. also, if you end up here & see this, hi! hello there, you having fun? well, i'm hungry, off to eat something maybe.sorry to say i barely heard any music, this show is just musically not my type at all.
the cast didn't leave much impression on me except being hilarious, not that i'm laughing, as it is for me, i don't enjoy comedy show that much due to my weird sense of humor. so it's just okay..
might come back to remember this moment.. & to see if there's any update or result of all the tests going on here. k, bye for now.
p.s. i found this place because of randomusagi. so, umm, thanks? for being this random. xD

hands down my favorite episode
i know probably most of you think otherwise, but i love this special even more than the main drama. it's practically my favorite episode. it's just coool to see the past of yu zhen, more so cause of the striking difference it has with the present timeline. like the name zi tong calls him by, yu zhen was "real" back then, in the sense that his emotions were raw and his expressions were much less filtered than they're throughout most part of the drama. and it's just simply sweet to see more of soft, fluffy, cute yu zhen xDthat all aside, i think aaron and deyn got incredible chemistry. yu zhen and zi tong deserve their own drama. their story is sad but BEAUTIFUL. and it ended nicely. the friendship they share is precious still now.
i really think we could have an incredible prequel starring them. at least, they should work again as a pair in some other drama.
i understand the frustration of all the people who missed shi lei in this episode and wanted to see him more. however, i think this episode also had wholesome shi lei x yu zhen moments as well that are much better than many earlier ones? like, yu zhen being cute & needy & playful with shi lei. and i think we got to see that because yu zhen was reminded of the good & fun parts of his past relationship with zi tong. he was reminded how he used to be before the breakup & the trauma changed him. tbh, i started liking yu zhen (& his relationship with shi lei) only after the ost "you're my comma" played in that one scene where shi lei was helping yu zhen to sleep. the song really helped me understand yu zhen, just how helpless, heartbroken & alone he was, despite looking like an accomplished, strong guy on the outside. and i really wanted to see his past, when he was younger.
also, both yu zhen & shi lei seem more relaxed & mature here, though, in the timeline, it's probably only shortly after the end of the last episode of the drama, but a lot changed in them and that's apparent in how yu zhen was calm while watching zi tong's message. or how he was totally fine to see shi lei checking zi tong's text. that reminds me, i think zi tong & shi lei's friendship is another precious thing. it's also something i miss in many other dramas where two lovers of one person usually have a jealousy filled enmity.
i've watched this episode 2x. and i know i will watch it again. love real's shy grins every time zi tong touches the mole on his collarbones T_T bye.

incomplete in perfection.
finally watched my leslie cheung in a movie.wish their "happy together" was shown for a little longer.. but that's how this movie is. that's how their life was.
love how chang beautifully shifted the mood of the movie.
i don't know what to think of the ending, he left ha po wing without a passport, i wanna cry ??
tony leung, he's an amazing actor. i really like him, i think he fits perfectly in his characters, with kar wai's style. he's just too good at showing little yet expressing it all.
i will rewatch it in hq. i think my rating will go higher then.
wong kar-wai movies are mine, it seems.

a light and fun watch :-)
good show. the making, the mood is not my type in a lot of ways (basic comedy, no exceptional dialogues, average acting, big production vibes, grand story vibes, not my kinda cinematography, etc)but the plot, the story is great! all the characters are cool! the mains have an interesting backstory each.
the action scenes are pretty well made. nice friendships, love the found-family relationships. the casting diversity is appreciable.
almost no unnecessary drama or misunderstandings,, that i appreciate. a fun watch definitely. got me interested in the anime / manga.
i particularly like zoro & nami. (& kaya!, i wish to see more of her in the future. like, a reunion with the crew. or even active participation in the adventures as well!)
i skipped a lot of the marine grandpa & the cadets scenes, i don't think they added anything to the story, but maybe that's just me.
oh, and the major message is to follow your dreams no matter what, hmm. and "you don't get to mess with my friends", that kinda things. haha.
this is the kind of show where i wish i could rate it higher.. but i hope season 2 will be better and more aligned to my taste.

beautiful, minus a few things, a few episodes perhaps
the fact that i loved phupha absolutely incredibly so much and then he didn't apologize to tian.. it really hurt. and the fact that i still love him way too much that i can't get over the disappointment of that one part of the plot.... it felt so unlike how phupha would handle such a situation... that i think it's the writer's mistake, as if the writer didn't understand their own character. or that it was such an unnecessary trouble in the story that i find very difficult to make sense of. i was in such a bad mood after the diary confronting scene that i didn't enjoy anything since then so i stopped watching after episode 9 and took a break. (what was all that misunderstandings, followed by even more misunderstandings as if they didn't know each other the least bit. both of them seemed so out of character & out of chemistry all of a sudden. also, what if it really was tian who, accidentally, hit torfun? just cause it wasn't tian behind the wheels changed so much for him?? why, how? i couldn't quite relate to this sentiment :c)the ending was really beautiful tho. made me feel love for it again. so.. i don't know, maybe i should rewatch it from the start to accept it. :(
beautiful drama btw.
earth's acting was beyond expectation, so very good portrayal of his character. to the point that i loved every time he appeared on screen. i'd like to watch him again in some other work though i think it'll depend more on the character whether i'll like him there or not.
also, incredible how he could show affection so beautifully, just by looking at a person.
the storyline is nice and fresh for the most part.
khama & longtae are the mvps. <3
overall, refreshing, but also, unexpectedly overdramatic at times.
(might change my rating after i get over the disappointments)

an unexpected favorite, with an all-time dear character.
disclaimer: if you didn't like season 1, you won't like this season either.admittedly a show with a lot of flaws. kinda hated it at first. but i grew to like it after a rewatch. now it's become something i'll watch again many times probably. there's just so many favorite moments in it. & i loved the setting right from the start. the weather, the seaside town, the food, the laundromat.. . it's all very refreshing.
honestly, in my opinion, minato wasn't well acted out. i could go as far as to say i really understand the character. and i don't even dislike the actor in particular. but idk, takuya probably just wasn't meant for this character. his acting didn't fit my understanding of minato. (and if i wanted to understand the character based on the acting, minato would turn out to be too annoying of a person for me to like.)
nevertheless, the most frustrating point of this drama is indeed minato, i guess anyone watching can agree on that. and if you can accept him as he is, everything else makes sense, and it turns into a beautiful, albeit comical, cute little love story.
anyways, anyways,, right from the beginning, i loved shin and how the actor portrayed this character. the acting is beyond perfection. it's so on point, i just love every inch of his presence on screen. hell, i actually want to watch more of this pair, like, a season 3, despite the fact that i don't think takuya fits his character. sho literally carried the whole series for me. and made the pair work somehow, i don't mind getting frustrated by minato ten times more if that means i get to watch shin doing what he does. :'D
shin's sister is super cute.
and i also find asuka adorable. tomoya deserves his own show, :-D. in fact, it'd be super fun if he was paired up with sho sometime.. haha.
everyone & everything else is so so. / i don't really care.
p.s. i loved the selective amnesia trope. unlike the popular opinion, i really think it was important to the story, not just to stir up drama.. it showed a whole different side of shin, i fell in love with him all over again. in fact, without it, this season wouldn't progress much.. i just wish it was a longer phase! haha
(ugh, bro i don't care if that made minato suffer a bit. he deserved it for letting shin go through all the frustration all through the series. not to mention, it helped minato take braver steps & realize sht.)
