The beginning of contract-relationships in dramas
I have watched “My Lovely Sam Soon“ three times now and each time I’m surprised by how much I love this drama! At first glance the drama is your typical “poor-woman-rich-arrogant-guy-contract-relationship” show, but don’t let this mislead you! This drama is genuinely funny, absurd, relatable, and unexpectedly moving. Yes, it is quite old and visually not as pleasing as modern dramas, but that only adds to its brilliance; being able to use the minimum to create such a great work is truly admirable and I always love to come back to the roots of K-Dramas where the plot and not the cinematography is in focus (I do love great cinematography though).“My Lovely Sam Soon” is definitely one of my all-time-favourites and I’m going to come back at it next time when I need a good laugh.

It's a slow-burn romance ....
I expected this drama to be a psychological mystery-thriller with a little bit romance as a side plot. Turns out the show is actually a slow-burn romance drama with a detached murder case worth 5-10 min of each episode. I guess that’s why I couldn’t help but be disappointed in this show. The cinematography is great and some scenes were really beautiful and moving, but that couldn't make up for the lacking plot. Literally nothing happened. That’s so unfortunate, especially because the first two episodes looked so promising. I gave up on the show after 12 episodes and watched the rest in skipping motions just to know what happens (little spoiler: almost nothing). I don’t know, if you like a show full of cute and pretty scenes, deep dialogues and little drama, you might like “You are my Spring”. If you are mainly here because you are interested in the murder-mystery aspect, you are definitely going to be disappointed.Cet avis était-il utile?
