The beginning was promising

I liked the first part of the show. Actually pretty much all the way until around episode 8 or 9 when the confession happened. The pace was slow, I agree on that, but I also think that the pace really suited the show itself, so that is not a complained in my book. I do feel however that in the last few episodes they did not have the time to work everything out?

So the conflict starts with the confession, with Aek freaking out. And I do not understand why he is freaking out so much? There are some vague reasons about him thinking Aue is just playing with him, him hurting his arm and thus not able to to compete (which he does than anyway without any problems? so idk about that) and a more general freakout about his own insecurities and fear about his future and disappointing his mum? But it never really gets explored further? Because in episode 10 he is suddenly capable to participate in the contest after all, Aek confesses to his mother that he might have feelings for Aue followed by a montage that I understood as Aek being happy to finally have set his mind right, but in contrast to Aue who is still in the, it's really all over now. But then in the next scene they hug, and everything is suddenly alright? No explanation, no talking. Just boom. And that just really pissed me off. I didn't feel like anything was resolved at all.

Also the relationship between Aek and (I think his name was) Pock, that other junior chef, never gets explored. And we also don't know what actually happened with him and his inheritance from his dad, the whole reason he joined the competition. Except a vague shot of him throwing his trophy on the ground.

Last but not least, the second couple, between Prem and Vich. I was -not- interested in that. I think mostly because, and I'm sorry, but the actor who played Vich wasn't very good in acting. And the actor of Prem wasn't that good either... I just... did not feel any chemistry between those two. I sill gave the acting a 6, because I did like the acting of the rest of the cast? But they just... brought it down.

Music: didn't stay with me, so a generic six does the trick.
