Frustrating at times
This is one of the better k-dramas since it's not as cliche, has great music, and eye candy... So JiSub and Seo InGuk.The storyline is fun at first, but makes for a very confusing relationship. The 2 leads speak to each other in cryptic dialog about it, making it hard to follow (especially for a non-Korean who doesn't get the references to mentioned manhwa and concepts like "candy girls"). It's so frustrating how they communicate, and I hated the stupid decisions they made because they are immature.
Also the FL is supposedly so smart and talented, but we never see a shred of evidence. She is always running head first towards danger and acting like a fool.
It's worth watching, that being said. But anyone watching with subtitles may need to pause to reread the scenes in which they argue to fully understand. Even then you may get lost around episode 12 or 13.

Romance, revenge and politics
I am not someone who can usually sit through a long drama with politics and lots of characters. However, this one had lots of romance, kung fu, and eye candy (lol) to keep me entertained. There weren't a ton of officials that all look the same to confuse me, and the majority of characters had unique names and well established story lines. In the beginning the story got a bit racy at times. Lots of innuendos and flirting. Then the political story line comes in and lasts quite a while. I never thought of dropping the show, but I did have to take a break from binging to watch a movie here and there.
It's helpful to consult the wiki online that breaks the characters up by the different nations they belong to. There are 5 areas constantly referenced in the show and it may have gotten confusing if I didn't have that. I also kept notes on the items and town names they talk about regularly.
As for the acting, I thought most of it was good. Prince Fierce was a bit of a drama king and his facial expressions were sometimes over the top.
I would recommend this to anyone who likes romance and wuxia, and doesn't like to strain your brain too much with political intrigue. There is enough silliness to keep you interested to the end.

Worst Cdrama I've seen
I chose to watch this because I like cooking, and thought the plot sounded kind of interesting. Unfortunately, the bad far outweighs the good. I don't know how I managed to get all the way to the end, but I did. The acting, music, and character development were horrible. In a few instances they described a main character as being one way, but then all the evidence would be to the contrary. It was very annoying. The female leads were whiny, spoiled, and sometimes mean yet men kept coming back for more. Makes no sense. Skip this one.Cet avis était-il utile?

So Cringey
This drama has really good reviews, so I really want to give it a chance. I'm only 8 episodes in, and it's 31 long. I don't know how I am going to get through it. It's so incredibly stupid; the female lead is a horrible person who doesn't deserve love; all the women are loud, violent, greedy, and screachy; it's very cliche; several characters can't act to save their lives... must I continue? No I am not being harsh. In fact, I am overlooking a few things (like make-up and set design) simply because this was filmed 20 years ago. But unbelievably improbable scenarios happening in EVERY episode is not OK.Cet avis était-il utile?
