ML being good looking is the only reddemable quality

Don't let the rating get you.

Really bad drama, I had my finger on the forward button through it and didn't miss a thing.

Predictable and boring where the interesting premises set by EP 1. are all destroyed by EP 4. You could watch the first 4 EPs and congratulations, you've watched the whole thing.

Also haven't seen this many hand on waist cliches since boys over flowers. I really only watched for the ML.

Recently, I've felt myself going through the motions. Watching a title, checking it off my list and moving on. Dramas that used to take Hours to finish ended up taking me days. I had even started rewatching some old stuff just to fall in love with K-Dramas again.
I decided to watch this after hearing so much about it and let me tell you I was not disappointed. I laughed, I cried and I stayed up till 5am hoping to get to an episode that I feel can finally let me close my eyes. It explores the culture of North Korean which gave me a bit of Nostalgia from years ago when I started discovering Korean culture. Learning new things about Koreans, the way the speak and the way of life was always something I appreciated in Dramas.

This K-Drama Reminded me of why I started falling on love with them in the first place. They left no stone unturned and no unstaisfactory revenge arcs. It's Cliché but not so much that you know how it will end. Just enough for you to anitcipate it and get glued to your screen.
I can't say it's completely light-hearted but it sure did make me laugh. The comedic relief was added in just the right moment in just the right doses. I've given this a 9 because despite starting strong and staying interesting, it failed to completely entrhrall me till the very last second, it faltered just a bit when it came to closing out. That and I think So Dan and her lover deserved a better ending. Everyone survives the gunshot wound but HIM!!???

Either way I totally recommend this drama for beginners who want to fall in love and for Veterans who want to fall in love again.

A failed our beloved summer remake but boring

There might be a good premise here, I take this is supposed to be a comfort K-drama with minimal drama and a focus on how our leads navigate depression and eventually fight their way out of it. The answer? Get a partner!

Yes the FL encourages him to get therapy, yes it addresses the stigma around mental health. The story does boil down to this man has PTSD and this woman has depression. They like each other. The end. It misses the substance, the days on end in bed unable to drag yourself out. Being so sensitive that you burst our crying during a conversation. A partner is not always the solution. All in all it was an interesting premis that got boring within the first few episodes. This should have been a limited series.

It's Jane Austen meets K-Drama meets any moving story about rebels!

I'm going to admit that it took me a while to really get into it. The beginning moves like a slow history romance with no real direction. This is why it received a 9 from me. Those first twelve episodes while intriguing were nothing groundbreaking. But, If you're looking for a sappy history romance where the king falls in love with a commoner, then I suggest you move on. This drama is for strong willed rebels who are willing to be inspired to action!
The last twelve episodes however were the most gripping, tragic, moving and impactful i've ever seen a K-Drama.
The acting was also note worthy, when they cried, I cried. During the good times, I laughed. They drew me into their story and made me root for a country i've never even set foot in. Yes, the real main character of this was Joseon and really made me think about the history of current day South-Korea.

The story, acting, music, cinematography, editing, bromance, sis-mance? Are all top notch in my opinion. This story ramps up pretty quickly without leaving you bored at any step of the way. The villains didn't quite get the torture I thought they deserved but also, sometimes, the bad guys win in the end.

Despite it's flaws this is hands down the best K-drama I've watched in recent times. Only watch if you've got the heart to steel back tears, Impressive control for your anger and the open-mind to feel compassion for what others have gone through.

Yes! it's long we all know that going in. Throught out the 51 episodes however I did not feel the urge to stop watching a single time.
It starts out as a simple light hearted goreyo drama that takes you on one of the sildest rides you might ever experience in that era. Through a Strong female protagonist none the less. We all know about the scene where the woman is about to get killed but the man swoops in? Well our heroine might have needed saving, but she was no amature with a bow, and in a dress no less!

I give this an 8 because while it kept me glued to my screen there were several unsatisfying story threads. Her first son was not capitalised on at all and it felt like it was left on the backburner too long to be relevant. Also her love interest, we are all rooting for #Chonah or #Peha was that all for nothing? If it was that easy to kill the king of goreyo why not do that the other 10 times you set out to kill him! some of these threads can get a little frustrating and as a personal touch I prefer my villans to be more humble in the face of defeat but all in all this drama and all it's 51 episodes are definitely worth the watch.

I highly recommend this for anyone who loves wild rides, strong female protagonists, Old Korea, Love triangles and gets nostalgic about Soap operas! I will be rewatching this in the future!

If you have some time to waste then sure.

The first few episodes were kind of like a typical K drama. Not good but interesting enough to make me wonder about the story development. This show becomes really disappointing with an unfinished look. What was it really about? They had so much to go on. Was it Airport drama? Or the two main character falling in love? If so where is the chemistry and why think up childish, flimsy reasons not to put them together? Or is it about the day to day struggles of Airport workers? Why didn't young-ju just admit her feelings back?

All in all mid way through the directors and producers threw together some kind of backtory and helped it hobble to the finish line. Really half hearted and the main actor spoke with his jaw and neck a lot. I only wanted to watch it for the main characters. A disappointing way to pass the time.
