A love so... Pathetic

Where to even start this review?
I have so many things to say that I don't know where to start from.

I mean, I guess I can start by explaining my headline.
I think this show should be called "a love so pathetic" why is everyone in this show so pitiful? There aren't a single soul here who isn't pathetic.

The ML is pathetic. The FL is pathetic. Her fiance is pathetic. The ML's friend is pathetic. All their friends are pathetic. The ML brother is pathetic. Really.... Even I that I watched this show, I'm also pathetic for liking it!!!!

Gosh. I hate this show, but I also love it! Idk!

Anyway. Now lemme explain why I think that everything in this show is pathetic and pitiful but still it's worth a try.

First of all I have to say that I love Enemies to Lovers story and this one is basically a ETL. The Male Lead hated the female lead bc he thought that she was the cause of his brother sickness, he thought she was one kind of woman that in reality she wasn't. She loved his brother, but when they broke up due her situation as a celebrity, she tried her best to forget him. He never stopped loving her until the moment he died. Their love story was beautiful and pitiful. I didn't resent his brother and I was so sad when he died, I think he deserved a better ending, but... It was kinda realistic so we can't expect so much.
Now... The ML and FL love story.
I loved seeing the ML slowing falling in love with the FL and realizing that she wasn't that "monster" he thought she was. I loved how their relationship grew over the show. How they were deeply in love with each but due the circumstances here they couldn't be together since she was her brother ex girlfriend. But then... His brother finally gave the ML the blessing saying that basically he wanted him to be with her after all. But... EVEN STILL THE MALE LEAD DIDN'T GO AFTER HER.

I mean... I was so happy when his brother accepted that she loved his brother more than she loved him and wanted both to be happy, but then the ML just destroyed my dreams haha.

Anyway, I loved the FL and ML love story.

But I hated everything else about this show.
I hated her fiance and even in the end when he changes I still didn't like him. He was so annoying at the beginning that I couldn't find myself linking him at all. He's also so pitiful as every one else here. He was so obsessed with a woman that didn't like him a bit. so pathetic, I mean, man? Go find yourself another woman.
Also, the ML's female friend. Gosh, how annoying a character can be???? She's just so much, going after the Male Lead like a dog who misses its owner, I hate her so much, even when the ML's bothers was in that situation she would try to show the FL that her and the ML was supposably "in love" and living as husband and wife. Girl? Please, have some self respect! You're so pathetic that almost made me cry bloody tears of anger seeing your face all the damn time! She was so annoying, omg!!! Words can't describe how much I hated her and that damn scar of hers.
Also, there are a few things I didn't like in the drama like...

They didn't care to explain what the ML did to his Female friend that left her with that scar in her neck, we never got a proper backstory of that happened and why he thought it was his responsibility.
We also never get to know who was the ML ex girlfriend that casually he thinks of (like, the beginning of the show and in a random scene in the middle of the show) who tf was this girl that the Male lead loved so much before the main plot? I mean, he isn't a extra character, he's literally the MAIN character of the show so why didn't anyone explain to us who was his past girlfriend? And, who was the girl who tried to kill herself bc of this unknown woman? They literally had put so much in fort to show us that the ML was suffering bc of a breakup but they never explained that to us what happened between them...
We know a lot o things of the FL, but it seems we don't know nothing from the ML. It seemed sometimes that he wasn't an important role for the story at all, only the FL was the focus.

Also, I think that the FL's mother deserved more visibility too in the story. They told us that the FL mother died by accident, but her death also the scene were way too poorly explained. It seemed that the producers just wanted to give the ML a reason to love the FL rather than explaining the FL drastic past.
Also, we never heard of her mother after that, even her father seems to have forgotten his past wife.
Also, the FL siblings. They're literally useless characters, they are there just to fill upe roles, only that. Even her older brother doesn't have a proper strong place, sometimes I forgot that he was her brother from the same mother, the only one time he stood up for her was also useless. After that, he never took her side again. I mean, why these characters even exist? The story would be the same without them appearing everytime.
It was very strange seeing them in ABSOLUTELY EVERY SCENE of her family being together, it seemed like they didn't have a private life. I don't know, it was very weird for me seeing these useless characters.
Also, I wanted to see more about the ML past, as I said before, it seems that we never get a chance to know his character better, it's like he existed only for the Female Lead sakes, he didn't have a personal life or soul at all.
He's just a bad boy that fell in love with a rich girl who was also his brother's ex girlfriend. Idk...
Also, there are so much guilt feelings going on here. Even after his brother clearly said "that's ok bro, you can have my girl, she loves you and you love her so take care of her in my place ok?" the ML just left her alone!!! I mean, bro? You got your brother's blessing what more do you need to take this girl???? Urgh

Why is everyone here so crazy and pathetic these ppl don't have selflove??? They're constantly cashing others affection. I think it's cool that the writers wanted to show us how deeply in love these characters were with each other but for me they need a psychiatrist urgently. Loving another person is ok but this is too much already.

And... I want to talk about the ending. I wasn't expecting a happy ending seeing how the story was made but what we got wasn't completely what I expected either.
Both of them dying at the end? I guess I can accept that as a half of a happy ending. For me it could be so much worse if one of them had died only and letting the other alone again but it seemed that both of them died by the cold so... Yeah, I guess it wasn't so much suffering as I thought it'd be.
It was a good ending? No, bc they could have stayed together but the producers said "NO" what are their problems with happy ending in old dramas?
It was a well made ending? No. Very very very rushed in my opinion, they probably got lazy of thinking something better, as usual in asian dramas.
It was a happy ending? No, definitely no. I said that I considered it to be a better half of a happy ending but having both of them dying like that wasn't what I expected, also, I'm not even sure if the FL actually died too, since she woke up, I'm guessing only. A happy ending for me is when the couple ends together and happy ever after not this sh*t we got in this show.
I like the ending? Definitely no.
I'd watch this show again? No.
I liked this show? Yes, surprisingly after all these stuff I talked about I can still say that I loved the show.
Their love storyline was good to watch.
The OST was perfect.
But there were so much opera scenes, I mean, so much so scenes where we only heard the OST and watched the characters suffering. I skipped most of the scenes like that.

I'd recommend this show? It depends... You wanna laugh and enjoy the drama until the end? Then definitely a big no! But you wanna a sad and drastic love story with pathetic characters and a pathetic ending? Then, yes, definitely yes.

All I have to say now that you know how this is going to end is... This drama is definitely good, it's emotional and memorable as a sad love story, with good OST and hateable characters and loved ones, but expect nothing more than this, a sad story.

Unfortunately the producers had the opportunity to give these characters a happy ending after all the suffer, but they said no and what can we do about it? Nothing? Just watch it keeping in mind that this is only a show and it isn't real, nothing of this happened in real life, the actors are doing good nowadays and probably having a better romantic life than these poor characters, I watched with that on mind and here I'm, finishing another show, just like that.
So you're warned, watch it and keep in mind that this is only for entertainment, don't take it to the heart.

The show was emotional, good, I enjoyed seeing the main leads loving each other, and they had a bad ending after all what they went though.
That's all.

I usually don't watch melodramas bc i don't like seeing sad stuff since the world is sadder than those stories but sometimes we lose to watch really good stuff bc of the ending... So it was a good experience for me, I enjoyed the story even though with this sad ending.

A love to kill will sure be in my mind for a long time
