For the first few eps I actually thought this was a comedy spoof of a BL series lol! The majority of the cast are waaaaaay too old for their character. Clearly all the location budget was spent on the ‘away’ episodes as the rest were very boring and basic. Costuming and styling were very good though. I didn’t understand Saints’ occasional appearances as some sort of messiah figure, I know he was executive producer but it was very random indeed and beneath his acting chops. All this said, it’s an amusing enough fluff series if you want to binge something that’s not going to tax your brain too much ?
