Nice episode, really

I have been ranting about Enchante's writing for the past few episodes, as it seemed unpolished and all over the place. But this episode is an improvement. It finally feels coherent and smooth, significantly more than earlier. And the revelation isn't too bad really. I was expecting the worst (it's really bad in the novel). Everyone is doing well in this episode, but I feel Force deserves the most praise. Also, there are some scenes that are pretty nice. My favorite one is the ice bucket scene.

A bit of a redemption from the earlier episode

This episode goes all goofy, which I think goes well with the strange and random flow of the story. Perhaps if they keep doing this, this series can shine in their own way. Theo and Akk are as cute as ever, and the four ambassadors are finally getting interesting enough to watch.

You've got to be kidding me.

This episode is again visually pretty, as it always is in this series. But they REALLY should have used their time and efforts in writing instead. This series had so much potential, and I kept having hopes that everything the writers put there in the story would lead to a satisfying end. Well, unfortunately it's not. Theo became even more unlikable in this episode. Miscommunication got even worse and there is no real attempt from any of them to create mutual understanding. Conflict isn't really resolved, but the "oh, it wasn't what you thought" plot was used instead. All the symbolic stuff they put there ended up meaningless in the last part. The seemingly important rose is simply gone from the picture just as Theo leaves.

Here come the twists

There is not just one twist, but a couple of them in this episode. I have read the novel, so I absolutely understand the need to make changes. If they followed the novel strictly, this series would be pretty boring and tame. So such changes are needed, although I don't think the way they implement it is perfect. Theo may not be so likeable at this point, but Book is doing great portraying him. Force's long hair kind of disrupts continuity. It feels like his hair suddenly grows significantly longer in just a few days in the story. Jimmy finally appears and he looks so fine.

A lot going, some nice moments, but a bit messy due to writing

Good things - visuals, the story going faster than usual with a lot of things happening, okay acting (Force is good, Book shows improvements) and some nice moments. Bad things - writing is quite unpolished, not exactly logical and messy, probably even messier than what it usually is, the constant soft filter being applied to Theo (and only Theo), and the series of long pauses whenever the two characters get their faces close to each other (I mean a single moment would be fine, but we saw so many in mere minutes from each other). Among these weaknesses, I would blame writing the most. If the writing is more polished, this episode could be the best one so far as it has all other elements ready.

A fine episode

I always thought the writing of this series is a bit illogical and not really polished. For this episode, it's still all over the place and not exactly coherent. But there are charming moments here and there. Most scenes when Theo and Akk are together without other people are pretty nice. But when there are other characters, especially the ambassadors, things get messy real quick. Akk is particularly a captivating character at this point. I enjoy watching his antics and weird moments.

Much better than earlier episodes

Finally it feels like the story is developing nicely with less awkwardness. Pacing is good. Visuals are good. Theo and Akk's relationship is actually seeing development. The romantic part is quite nicely done, far from perfect, but pretty nice nevertheless. The parts about the ambassadors, still the weakness of this series in my opinion, are much less awkward in this episode.

Random and over all the place

This episode feels messier than the first two. It's so random and over all the place, especially when it comes to the four ambassadors. It's hard for me to follow the logic of the story, but perhaps that's not the point. Throw the logic away and you will be able to enjoy the story more. At least, the series at this point is better than the novel, which doesn't seem to even bother with good logic.Theo and Akk are cute and natural. Anything about the two are more interesting than anything about the four university ambassadors whose back story and motives, I believe, are supposed to be mysterious but come out too random and rather confusing and not really likeable to me. The ending of the episode is epic, I mean as epic as this series can be.

Satisfactory enough

The second episode is somewhat of a drop from the first one. It begins to expose the quality of writing which might not be of the highest caliber, so the story and the flow begin to feel somewhat off. The appearances of the four "university ambassadors" feel so random, like the writers don't really care about them. It feels like the series wants to solely focus on Theo and Akk, but at least it is doing it fine at that. So, it's satisfactory I guess, but nothing exceptional or memorable.

This episode has set the tone well

The first episode has established the characters of Theo and Akk and set the tone of the series. It's quite nice in my opinion, a mixture of slowburn and slice of life. And visually, it's quite pleasing. But those who look for a fast paced story with a lot of things going on might not like it as much. Also, the actual "Enchante" arc hasn't even begun.
