Ok, I'm going to go against the grain here because I really didn't like this movie all that much. Don't get me wrong, the concept was great. I just felt the execution was lacking. The cast did a great job, but the story was kind of jumbled, in my opinion. Of course this is a movie and not a 16 episode drama so character/story development had to happen quickly but this movie seemed to be put on fast forward. I was constantly thinking "when did this happen?". I didn't feel the connection of the 2 main leads like I did in A Moment to Remember, for example. Both are equally sad but this movie didn't flow as nicely. I don't think the male lead asked enough questions like "what are you in the hospital for?" or "this is weird bc I'm sneaking you out of a hospital for dates" kind of reaction. It's like the writers just threw in a dash of cuteness, a pinch romance, and topped it off with some unexplained tragedy solely for the purpose of making you sad. The story took one turn after another that I almost completely forgot about what should be a HUGE turning point for one of the leads. That's how quickly this movie moved! As I was writing this I had an "Oh yeah, I forgot this happened" moment for something that shouldn't be shrugged off as insignificant to the story. That's exactly what I mean by unexplained tragedy. Basically what I'm saying is the movie didn't flow well. It COULD have been a really great movie, it just fell short.
