I’ll be honest, I was looking for new Matt Yeung dramedy and this is definitely that.
A typical example of the 3 stages of TVB entertainment, you get stage 1: comedy, as you get to know the characters and they dazzle you with their comedic timing. Stage 2: conflict - things take a stressful turn and they scramble to find a way out. Stage 3: consequences - how do they reconcile what they’ve done and can they move on?
I really liked the fact that over the course of the 20 episodes you get to see different sides of each character. Most of them get a chance to evolve a bit yet still be recognisable.
I’ve missed HK comedies so this filled a gap in my soul.

I love this! I wasn’t sure about it but after the first 2 episodes I was hooked. It shares time between a few different subplots and although you might be forgiven for thinking they’ve dropped one... wait for it, because they really haven’t.
At times funny, others a bit of mood whiplash as they hit you with angst, it always made me want to binge watch it in one go. I forced myself to a limit of only 2 eps a night, as I discovered it way after it had started.
I will be looking to see if they ever pick this up again.

Good fun

Really enjoyed seeing Jay and his mates gallivant around various cities around the world. His mates' reactions to finding new stuff, Jay knowing a bit because he's been there before to shoot music videos - add in some street magic, some of his greatest hits as soundtrack, some fun guest stars and challenges, and I had a really good time.
It's still on UK Netflix so I've been back and watched it all again - Paris and possibly The Gold Coast were my favourites, but the surprise guest star of Nic Tse gave that particular episode a different feel to it. The last one, in Havana, was so much fun I've now seen it three times.
Wishing and hoping we get a season 2. I mean he's got to have more of these trips if he's got an album coming out probably end of 2020 / start of 2021, right?
