I really loved this drama. It proves that a story is still a story if it doesn't have massive conflict or a Big Bad. I loved the character study feel to it and it was very well acted. I cried so much in the final episodes, not from sadness but from an overload of cute. The romance is inherent in the drama but still downplayed which was a nice turn from the ordinary. It isn't your typical drama but I think it is helped by that rather than hindered by it. I laughed and squeed and cried, felt hope and clenched with anxiety. It was much more than I expected and I was surprised by it. If you like plot with a P, L, O and a T, this might not be great since the story is minimal and the focus is on the music and the characters. In saying that, I love that I would be able to put on any random episode and rewatch without being lost as to where the narrative was. This was the first adaptation of this that I watched, but have lined up the anime, manga and J-drama to sink into for comparison later. While I was never racing to get to the next episode because I simply HAD to know what happened, I was OK with that, because this wasn't supposed to be a drama like that. I also liked that there was no concrete ending and it was just a continuation of the life they were already living. This was my first Joo Won drama and I will be following his choices of role in the future since I thought he was excellent in this. I am very grateful to this drama for breaking a slump I've had over the last month or so. So thanks, Cantabile Tomorrow!
