Finally moving to the last four episodes of this drama. The actors/actresses are very good but the writers put in too many complicated situations for the main couple. I hope they get together in the end, but it would have been better if they got together earlier (say, ep. 35 or so) and then the rest of the side conflicts they could have weathered as a married couple. Way too much time was spent on the wickedness of Sara, Kija, Daeran, Anna and Soochul. So much so that I personally hate all these wicked people. The writers also made out the male lead to have a weak love for the female lead _ if he had a strong love, he would fight for Dandan through thick and thin. And what kind of chairman would readily believe a woman who says she got knocked up by him? A stronger person would take pains to verify all the claims. And why live with your father's mistress? With all his money, he can easily afford to buy Daeran a house of her own as a parting gift to her.
Anyway, I hope I can enjoy the last four episodes because I went through a lot watching the past 48 episodes.

Good vs Evil vs Annoying

This is a typical daily drama where the main pairing battle through adversities left and right before they can be together. What is clear here are the battle lines drawn: The good include Gwangjun, Yongi, the grandpa, Sejun, Mirinae , and others. The evil ones are High Heels and Haemi and their minions. The annoying ones are the mother of Haemi and the stepmother of Yongi. I am curious to find out the evil secrets that High Heels is hiding _ I hope she gets punished in the end. Overall, good acting by the cast, although those two mothers are really over the top annoying.

Going in Circles

I think the series is going around in circles, especially with the romantic pairings. We already know who each sibling will end up with _ and it seems the series is just milking the situations. The main plot that needs to be resolved is the story behind the Seran/Youngsik/mystery woman/Jiwoo/ Sangjun "paternity" situation. The plot twists for Sorim and Geonnu seem to be made just to extend the series to 50 episodes. I believe this could have been finished in 36; episodes. At any rate, I'll stick around _ if only to find out the real story behind the paternity situation I mentioned above.

A Contest for Most Annoying

Most annoying characters (in order):
1. Hyosim's mother - a leech and totally annoying
2. The bar flunker brother - ingrate
3. The landlady - obnoxious
4. Taemin's father - so weak
5. Taemin - pretentious

Likable characters:
1. Hyosim - tries her best
2. Taeho - seems cool
3. Taeho's grandmother - strong woman
4. Sugyeong - classy and decisive
5. Hyosim's eldest brother - practical and hard worker

Nam Bora's character gets special mention for chasing her dream diligently without relying on anyone.

We'll see how the characters turn out in the end.

Entertaining Drama

This is an entertaining family drama. The actress playing Haejun particularly is very good _ funny at times and serious at times. The romance between Mirae and Hyeonjae is the most entertaining to watch. They look good together. I really do not like the story of the youngest son _ they started off in a devious and fraudulent way to con the family. Even if later they really marry each other, it cannot be a good union because the seed from which they started is rotten and a scam. Of course, the elders may have had some fault too for offering a material reward for marriage. I don't fully know the story of Mirae's mom, but she seems to have a lot of hang-ups. It will be interesting to see later how Hyeonjae can overcome the mom's resistance against him. Overall, a good watch _ I intend to finish the series.
