Started off well but.....

The first 15 episodes were mind-blowing. The plot twists, the story, EVERYTHING WAS SOO GOOD. I saw some people saying the story was very confusing and a mess. I’m sure they must have tried to watch the drama while it was still airing (2 eps per week). But trust me this story is FAR FROM BEING A MESS. My advice for you is: binge-watch the whole drama in 2-3 days.

But I feel like they could and should have ended the show with 16 eps because after ep 15 the show took a down slope. Ep 16 to 20 were very slow. Nothing important happened and most of the plot twists they brought in in these eps, were stuff we already predicted in the beginning.

Eg: 1. We already knew JBR and SYH were ‘lab mice’
2. That JBR must be HSG’s real son and that the babies must have been switched
3. That the presidential secretary was involved in everything

But anyway I like how the drama ended. The last episode is about 1hr 40 mins and it takes it's time to finish off every main character’s story. I saw that some people were not happy about the ending Jang Ba Reum got, but let’s be honest. Even though he is the main character he IS a murderer and we already knew that he wont get a ‘happy ending’.

Lee Seung Gi does an amazing job portraying his character but who really caught my eye was our detective Go Moo Chi (not gonna elaborate cause you'll get it when you watch it).

Oh! and that scene after the credits in the last episode!!!!! Another brain surgery? So JBR and SYH were not the only lab mice? They were experimenting on other psychopaths too???

So here's the sum up:

If you're in to detective-psychological thrillers, Mouse is a definite must watch!

Not bad

Why should you watch Undercover?

1. Well, the plot is not that complex and easy to follow.

2. Has a strong villain who has power, money AND the brains. When you start to watch the drama I'm sure you'll watch it till the end just to see the villain get defeated because you'll get frustrated throughout the drama because of him.

3. They have done an excellent job in casting. The younger selves (Yoen Woo Jin and Han Sun Hwa) resembled the older selves ( Ji Jin Hee and Kim Hyun Joo) a lot! And their acting was good too. Yoo Sun Ho ( the actor who plays Ji Jin Hee and Kim Hyun Joo's autistic older son) does an amazing job portraying his character!

And this whole father-son relationship between Ji Jin Hee and Yoo Sun Ho's characters kinda reminded me of Move To Heaven's father-son relationship between Ji Jin Hee and Tang Jun Sang.

4. Ji Jin Hee's action scenes were daebak!

So yeah, Undercover is not THE best drama of the genre I have watched but still it was good, not boring and worth the watch. Anyone who's into political-crime dramas do give it a shot. You'll like it!

Your typical historical kdrama with a plot that 'sounds' exciting

Started to watch it because of Jung Il Woo and because the plot sounded good but had to FORCE myself to watch it till the end.
Is the plot as exciting as it sounds in the synopsis? Well the bossaming part (Kidnapping a widow from her household so that she can remarry) is something new that I haven't seen before, but other than that there is nothing fresh. This is your typical historical drama where the powerful minister goes against the king. There are plenty of better historical kdramas to watch than this with the same plot. Only difference here is that the main lead is the king's daughter.

Is it worth spending 20+ hours of your life watching this? A huge 'NO' from me. Here's why.

Princess Soo Kyung(Kwon Yu Ri): Well this princess is tooo goody good good to the point it's very annoying. I hate it when one of the main leads is the type that ALWAYS forgives their enemies, helps eeeeverybody (even risking their own life), is sweet, nice, calm and poised.....ALWAYS. I mean I know she's a 'princess' but still we're all human beings at the end of the day. It's ok to show others how you really feel sometimes.

Ba Woo ( Jung Il woo): I don't know why but his character was not strongly written and didn't catch my eye.

The King: Is he a good guy or a bad guy? It's not clear. Maybe it shouldn't be clear to the characters of the story but we the viewers who watch the story from another viewpoint should get it. In the beginning he plans to let his own daughter die to get rid of his enemy, in the middle he suddenly turns to a dad who 'really' loves her and protects her. A father's love doesn't change like that!? WTH. STOP CONFUSING US.

Lee Dae Yeop(Shin Hyun Soo):Your typical average second male lead in historical dramas. He loves her, knows she won't love him back, always there to save her behind the scenes and well...... I'm not gonna spoil the rest. This character is very similar to the SMLs in Gunman in Joseon, Moon that embraces the sun, Dong Yi etc. What I'm trying to say is nothing new to see from this character.

Ba Woo's son:This little guy and his cuteness is like a drop of water in this desert but unfortunately we don't get to see him much after the first few episodes.

So to sum up,
Is it really worth your time watching this? Not really. If you're a fan of the main leads try watching the first 5 episodes, if it doesn't catch your eye then stop watching it cus the plot won't progress much after that anyway.

A 'MUST WATCH' for all detective kdrama fans

Wonder why this drama is so underrated when it's a definite 'must watch' for all detective/mystery kdrama fans. The story revolves around a female prosecutor and a forensics team and it shows how they solve murders mostly by carrying out post mortems.

Pluses
1.Well this drama shows many short cases (some of them are connected to each other) so you don't have to wait till the last episode to find who the criminal is
2. No melodrama. Just pure science and logic to the rescue!!!(unlike many mystery kdramas we know)
3. You really will get to learn many new stuff
4. The post mortems are soo realistic which makes the drama more interesting to watch

Minuses
1. Well the female prosecutor is supposed to be the top of her class but she didn't live up to her name in the first few episodes.
2. Season 2 ends with a cliffhanger but I was devastated when I got to know that they won't make a season 3

Oh and FYI no romance whatsoever between the main leads.

Now go and watch it without further ado!!!!!

Two words: Very Boring

Well well well.... 6 episodes have aired already but nothing important has happened yet. The plot is too common and slow paced. The acting is not that good either.

Is it boring? Yes
Is the main female lead annoying? Very
Can we expect the future episodes to be better? Ummmmm......I don't think so. No.
Is it worth the watch? No
Am I gonna drop it? Yes

Just watch it if you're a fan of Choi Tae Joon (can't give you more reasons to watch it other than that).
Oh! and if you're a fan of the female lead (Choi Soo Young) go watch 'Tell Me What You Saw' (100% worth the watch).
