Wow. This drama is a melting pot full of diverse characters, engaging plot, creative scripts and great comedy. Yet conjures a tinge of nostalgia with homely, laid back and simple props of a supermarket setting . The show also reminds of a stage production with some musical elements and actors' credit roll at the end.

And the comic effect... is simply divine. Regardless Kim Byung-chul in his constant stoic demeanor dishing all sorts of quirky ideas,  or attempting "Flashdance" moves in tights, or his frantic jives as master DJ.   Park Ho-san also levelled up playing a  villainous, exasperated director role with great conviction and hilarity. Manoeuvring himself amongst security beams a la "Entrapment" style. Lee Dong-hwi's performance as innocent, derp looking manager added zest to the final plot twist. And rest of the crew from youths to the elderly were outstanding  in their performances.  Overall, a very well produced and directed show with much creative adaptation and in-depth character interpretation.

Prior watching this series, I thought the other K-drama "Catch the Ghost" was a one-off unique production. So I was pleasantly surprised to find "Pegasus Market" equally good. If these two productions are indication of future K-drama style and standards, I will be following every series and episode.
