Confused and sad
Hey guys, this contains spoilers so don't read this if you don't want any.I haven't finished this series yet, something happened that I wanted to talk about so I am sharing it here since I don't have friends that like Asian dramas. One of the things I hate most is when the protagonist 'sleeps' with someone else in the story, which is kind of weird since I don't really get that bothered when that happens in american series, but in asian ones, I feel betrayed, angry and sad.😢😂
Anyways, in ep 21 (I think), The female protagonist's best friend, gets the male protagonist (Han Qi Lu) drunk and slept with him, the next morning when they wake up she pretends that she was also drunk and didn't know (when she clearly betrayed her bff). Han Qi Lu then feels guilty thinking it was his fault and decides (no reason y) to break up with his fiance and marry her best friend that he slept with. That is the important information so the rest doesn't need that much explaining. Pretty much, when they were having an engagement party, he finds out what really happened that night, he threatens her to tell everyone that it was just a prank/joke or he would tell everyone what she did, the protagonists make up. After that, he has an accident and loses his memory before explaining to everyone what the girl did, so I am kind of angry seeing the protagonist still being friends with the girl (since she doesn't know what happened) and I hope he gains his memory back soon. Thank you all💕

This was my second time watching this drama, and I won't explain the whole story so if you would like to know more details, read a summary. What I do want to say here are some things about the ending, I highly recommend this, I have watched it twice and would watch again, but if you want to feel satisfied at the end of watching, this isn't what you should go for; (you won't be able to understand much of this if you don't know anything about the series) the girl uses a disguise, a wig, painted on freckles and fake glasses. When she finally tells her boyfriend her true identity, instead of being able to look like her true self, he likes her with the disguise. So, the end is a bit frustrating in my opinion, they end up together and even have kids (so they probably married) but she is still using the disguise because all her friends (even though knowing the way she looks) like her the other way? I just can't imagine her having to wake up every morning, put on a wig, paint freckles on her face and use fake glasses; I can't imagine having to wear a wig everyday, and what about her baby? Is she gonna have her baby look at her as not herself?!
I hope you understand that I still love this, I just wanted to explain the ending but the rest of the story is amazing! I liked the way she explained how she lost her identity but if you really think about it, it's really strange and it made me sad seeing her take care of her child looking completely different than her true self.
