Main character is unbearable
Usually, I love old series because they are classics. I wondered why this one had such a low rating, but after watching four episodes, I understood why. The main actress plays her role excellently, but her character is unbearable. She is extremely forced, even the happiest person in the world doesn't behave like that. She tries to prove that she has no emotions, which is perfectly fine, but her enthusiasm and smile while telling a white lie are truly exaggerated and cannot be attributed to any normal woman. There is another major issue with this series. It tries to portray something that never existed in Japan, especially not during that period. There is a complete disconnect from reality. I highly doubt that women felt so free to talk about their exploits and that they were free to do as they pleased in Tokyo. I strongly suspect that this was a forced attempt to be a series fitting the spirit of the times in the U.S. and to pander a bit. This was, of course, a common occurrence then as it is today, but when watching old series in retrospect, it becomes very clear and grotesque to the point of disgust.
What truly lasts will last despite the passage of time, even for 100 years. The only reason it can still be called a classic is due to some attachment to that period by Japanese viewers who watched it. It's hard for me to believe that they don't realize how grotesque and disconnected it is from the past.

very cute, girls love , first love, they found that love byond gender
acting- bad...the girls tom is really bad.
music- surprisingly it's ok, for thai...that i really don't like thai music...(my taste) it's mostly generic, but this time they more verity
i think it's the year they were influence by Korean drama, and korean music...there are similarity in the clothing fashion and music .
overall:
i don't watch girls love movies, i don't like it most of the time, i watch bl ...most of the time.
i watched at those years the produced it couple of streight Thai movies and i didn't like them because they were very generic and the music was off and they were very cliche and boring in extreme boring, slow, really bad overall. so i was surprised to like this.
i like when a person looking for his identity, so here i think the Tom girl is very suitble, she looks and act like aboy. she is very convincing in that way (not her actong) , i was touhed when they found out they are inlove,
there are parts that are very childish, naive, so sweet you believe it's real, that is what i like about it,
when they kiss it's rith on the spot, touch your hear and you full of their buterflys...that is why i feel this movie worth watching.

Identity theory
Everything is fine with lesbians or gays; it's natural and people are born with their own identity or develop one. However, when a character says, "I am neither a girl nor a boy, and it doesn't matter anyway," it borders on a fascist script for engineering consciousness. She could have said, "I don't feel sure about being a girl, I don't feel feminine, I don't like being feminine, and maybe I'm also attracted to women," but the end of her sentence, "I am neither this nor that, so it doesn't matter," already proves there is fascist intervention.A human girl with clear, realistic boundaries, especially in conservative Japan, would never say or even think such a thing. There are quite a few Japanese films with identity issues; that's fine, but this trifle of identity theory and this obsession has nothing to do with conservative Japan that cherishes femininity and family values.
It's clear that this production is aimed primarily at the Western audience in the United States. Even the way they talk in the videos, as if speaking to themselves, feels forced. Instead of speaking to someone, a friend, a parent, or in front of a mirror, we watch a scene where characters are displayed like in a mobile, squeezed into a technological cube, as if they are broadcasting their feelings on TikTok. They lack personality and thoughts of their own, even a human space. What matters to the director or writers is to please the viewers, not to show a human perspective outside the box.

if you watch it till the end you understand.
It's very sad that someone had the power to cut this drama because it could be a jam.

Those who enjoy realistic films about everyday life will likely love it
The two main actors are beautiful and talented, but I stopped watching after the third episode because I felt it wasn't exciting at all. Those who enjoy realistic films about everyday life will likely love it, as it's quite a true-to-life story and perhaps even too banal because of its realism. If it were a fantasy, the younger character would be chasing the older one, not only due to the age difference and maturity in understanding what love truly is but also in terms of status. A beautiful woman like that, with her status and intelligence, would seemingly be able to get the best. Is this true in the real world? Obviously not. A doctor is also a human being with weaknesses and needs. However, to achieve the title of a doctor, one has to go through much more than the average person and be strong, so their expectations from a partner should align accordingly, not only financially but also mentally. But again, this couple is understandable, and it is certainly something that can happen in reality. However, it does not challenge the viewer enough, in my opinion, and for me, a movie is meant to be an escape from reality. Another note, which might be the main reason this drama is directed differently from a typical Japanese drama, is the involvement or influence of Korea. The background music is Korean, and there is something in the overly open style that feels like a Korean plot.Cet avis était-il utile?
