Slow and long

I think the show was promising at the start because of the cast, but the more I watched, the more I doubted it. Since my favorite was Ji Won, it was sad to watch entire episodes without him. I was thinking to myself "why don't they find people that aren't so busy and bring them into the show?". So this was honestly a mistake on the producers part.

When it comes to the dates between the cast members, they didn't really show anything special in particular. Mostly they were plain and showed two people in a cafe or restaurant just casually talking. To be honest, I prefer activites over plain dates.

Regarding the love lines, they were disappointing. All guys were into one girl and mostly all girls were into one guy. The producers should then maybe add more cast members or pick more diverse cast members.

As I watched the show from when episode 1 released, I guess it was easier for me to watch the whole thing. I believe that if I was going to watch the whole thing when all episodes were released, I don't think I would have been able to finish it. All in all, it was a decent show, but it wasn't very exciting to watch.

South Korea can also create superheroes

I remember finding out this show would come out sometime in 2023. I was looking through the shows Kim Sung Kyun was starring in after watching the drama called "Grid". At that time I didn't really look into what it was about or anything. The reason I even started watching this drama was because of a few videos on YouTube that showed some clips. So when I started watching it, I didn't know what it was going to be about.

The drama starts with the story surrounding Bong Seok and Hee Soo. It then shows how it is living with their superpowers in their daily lives. I think the drama gave us a good mix of their superpowers and their story about that, but also a romance that makes your heart flutter. Around halfway through the series it gradually goes over to the parents backstories. I think it was nice to get to know each character better and how they met and how they got to know each other. All leading up to the final battle where all of them are gathered.

What makes me not giving this drama a 10/10 is the fact that I felt like it might have been too much about their parents and their backstories, when I actually wanted to see more of Bong Seok and Hee Soo. But it actually all makes more sense to give the viewers a good explanation of how these people got to know each other and what led up to them getting tangled together. A well executed and thrilling series from Disney, I'm looking forward to the next season.

Great action movie but lacking plot

I was actually hyped to watch this action movie starring Wi Ha Joon. After reading the synopsis, I was expecting great action scenes and a great character development.

Even though the actions scenes were good, some parts of the movie was still lacking. I was watching this movie together with my friends and one of my friend said "the action part was great, but I felt like there was no end goal in the movie. He got in prison, learned how to fight and beat up a guy, thats it". So yeah, my friend also felt like there was some lacking parts.

If I'm going to be specific about what was lacking, I can start with the beginning of the movie. We see two parts, one part for each main character. The first one is about Do Hyun and it shows what led to him getting in prison, what I wanted to see more of here was the longing and sadness he felt for his family members, you don't really see him thinking about them throughout the movie. About the part with Woo Sol, it just shows them having a fight and Seok Chan provoking him into stabbing him with a pen. All of that felt unrealistic.

Halfway through the movie, we see Seok Chan joining a gang because of his harsh and brutal fightingstyle. However, it didn't really make sense for him to join this gang, it didn't add anything to the story, it's not like we see the gang members attack Woo Sol.

At the end of the movie, we see Woo Sol free and he is visiting Do Hyun in prison. Again leaving us with a sense of wanting more to the story. E.g Do Hyun could have been set free from prison and we could see them back in their normal lives, but yeah, we didn't get to see any of that.

In comparison to the lacking parts, it was great to see the inmates going from stonecold enemies to friends with a little bromance. All it had to take, was them accepting each other.

I think I would recommend this movie to someone who doesn't really care about the plot and just wants to see some action scenes.

No Need For A Girlfriend If You Got Your Buddy

This is one of the best movies I've seen lately. I never expected I would laugh this much watching a movie with such a dark theme. I can agree that the plot has been used before when it comes to police university students getting tangled up in a criminal case. But I think the movie shows some character development when you see Ki-joon go from being unsure about wanting to become a police officer to find pride in helping people and appreciate the work that the police do for the people and for the victims.

As I mentioned before, the movie has a dark theme. What I mean by that is how the crimes surround the subject of human trafficking. It shows how cruel people can be towards others, selling their friends to make money, selling their organs without their consent and making them victims to crime. As cruel as it seems, this is the reality, this is actually something that happens to this day. So I think the movie is doing a great job raising awareness of the subject.

Apart fom that, it also shows what runaway children needs to go through. Many of them are victims to domestic abuse or has experienced bad things in their household. Running away from it doesn't mean it makes it easier for them. They have to stand on their own feet, finding a place to sleep, bringing food to the table and suffer from the fear of being sent back to the cruel place they ran away from.

On the other hand, it was great seeing Park Seo Joon and Kang Ha Neul being like brothers in this movie. They fought together, suffered together and succeeded together. They did a great job showing the character's youthful craziness, their life struggles and their dedication to improve, not for themselves, but for others.

I had a fun time watching it and I recommend you to see it yourself. It is a great movie to watch with your friends.

Short, but interesting

I came across this show yesterday by a coincidence, but ended up watching it today. I've seen most of the korean dating shows and probably heard about almost everyone, but I've never heard about Loveway before, so I decided to check it out. Seeing it had 8 episodes with a duration for about 30 minutes seemed manageable.

To be honest, I was sceptical at first when I saw a host together with the contestants. This was because I thought it might be pressuring for the contestants to actually show their true self and to make their moves. But fortunately the host let them stay there alone for the entire show until the final decision.

The good thing about the show is that its based around a somewhat unique concept. I've seen a similar concept before, but not too many shows base their concept around an activity. I personally think that this forced the contestants into spending time with each other and getting to know one another. It was also a great opportunity for these young adults to find other people with similar hobbies as themselves. We also got to see a variety of different activities including: pilates, bowling, cheerleading, bungee jumping and so on.

What I think could have been better is:

The show lasted for 5 days, which I think is a pretty short time if you're going to fall in love with someone. It didn't seem like it had that big of a budget, so if more money was put into the show, the contestants could have gone on a more variety of dates. The show also might have added panelists to try to guess where the contestants' hearts were going.

Cast:

Jung-Wan: Felt inferior from the start, lost confidence when he saw what Tae-Jin was doing to show off his charms. Should have been more active to show how he felt.
Tae-Jin: Did a great job actively showing his feelings, but he shouldn't have lied to Tae-Rin.
Woo-Sung: I can see why Seung-Hyun felt a bit afraid of him. He was openly showing how he was jealous and got quickly angry. I personally think that was a bad move when you're not even dating the person you're getting mad at.
Sung-Jae: He was personally my favorite among the guys. He tried to make the others laugh and feel less uncomfortable, which I think is a great trait to have. I'm glad he worked things out with Seok-Young and explained to her the reason for his actions.
Pyeong-Sun: Seemed like he was a little too confident that the girls would like him. At least he tried to show his feelings.
Seung-Hyun: Honestly felt a little crazy when she constantly laughed at something that wasn't funny. I could also see that she wasn't a good person when she said it was tiring talking to Sung-Jae when she literally chose to continue their conversation.
Ho-Young: I honestly felt like she ruined her shot when she mentioned the thing about how she gave her sandwich to someone who didn't have one instead of actually giving it to someone she was interested in. I also think she went a little overboard with her actions during her date with Woo-Sung. She seemed like a handful.
Tae-Rin: She was my favorite among the girls. I think it was good how she tried getting to know more than one guy and finding the one for her. I also think she could have done a better job speaking out about how she felt when she was disappointed and upset.
Seok-Young: She did a great job just being honest about her feelings. I'm glad she forgave Sung-Jae for wanting to get to know the other girls as well.

Overall a good show, I personally rated this 7/10 because there were some parts that could have been better, but it also had some good parts as well. We'll wait and see if this show ends up getting a season 2 or not.

Dating Show for people in their 30's and 40's

If I'm going to compare season 1 and season 2, I feel like season 2 is an upgraded version. It felt like they had a bigger budget and found some better contestants. I felt like this season had a bit more focus on the dating part, more than the camping part. They had dates together, got to know the other contestants, not just one person. There were also a more variety of things they did this season, like roller scates, field trip, zip line and more.

I also liked that they added some new things as well. The Stop and Steal thing was fun because it helped spice things up and also gave the contestants an option to get to know one more person. It was also good that they added the voice recording thing. This helped the contestants express their feelings each night, so that everyone could know if someone were interested in them or if they should up their games.

All in all, I think this season is just as good as the first one, if not better. It really gives you insight in how it feels for a middle-aged person to give love a new chance.

Started with a laugh, ended in tears

I watched this movie with my friend and we wanted to watch something light and funny. So we searched movies with the comedy genre. The start was looking good and we had a few laughs. However at one point, the movie takes a drastic turn.

At the start we see a man sneaking into another person's house. We then find out it's his half brother's house. Since Doo Shik hasn't been there for Doo Young during his life, their relationship isn't good. They are fighting and complaining about each other all time and Doo Shik seems like a prick honestly. However as the movie goes on, their relationship becomes better and Doo Shik helps Doo Young with the things that scares him. This truly shows how a brother should be, even if you hate him for a moment, he is there for you and you still love him, even though you might forget that.

After we find out Doo Shik has cancer, we get to see how devastated he gets. When everything was going well, he got kicked in the stomach with that message. We get to see how he lives his life to the fullest extent, doing what matters to him the most, spending time with and helping out his brother. I think the movie portrayed this in a very good way, and makes you think "would I have told the closest people to me if I had cancer?". It also reminds us that we should do the things we like, live a life that makes us happy, because one day, we might receive a similar message.

I also really liked the character development of Dae Chang and Doo Shik. They went from enemies to friends, helping each other out in their own ways. The same thing with Doo Shik and Soo Hyun, it starts off rough, but when they find out they got something in common, their love and care for Doo Young, their relationship also takes a turn.

This is the first movie that has made me laugh so much and also made me cry so much. It truly is a masterpiece that I would recommend to anyone wanting to watch an emotional roller coaster.

Teenagers pathway to adulthood

Nineteen to Twenty is a totally different dating show. I really liked how it had such a variety of things the contestants could do. Everything from different types of classes to a schooltrip. I also liked how many activities they did.

It was nice seeing their immature behaviour trying to be more grown up, going on dates etc. There is always room for improvement, but I think they will learn from this experience.

If I'm going to talk about the cast, I feel like I just want to mention those that specifically stood out.

Firstly, Ji-Woo is such a unique person. Never have I ever seen anyone act the way she did. The way she kept saying things with extreme confidence when the reality might have been different. And how she acted all cute in front of the person she likes, poking them repeatedly and then just tells them it was nothing afterwards. Her overall feeling was a cute schoolgirl.

Also Ye-rin was so funny. She kept on doing ?? after being on a date or starts dabbing or doing fortnite dances after feeling the thrill of love. This just shows how pure and immature she still is.

Another person I feel like I want to mention is Sang-Won. I get that he is just trying to show interest and express his feelings towards Seo-Hyeon, but when he does it that much and follows her around, it just becomes too much. He should give her some space and time to think about her own feelings and maybe also get to know the other guys. This could help Seo-Hyeon understand her feelings more.

A couple that also stood out was Hee-Ji and Pyeong-Seok. They were like in their own world not bothered by all the drama that was in the house. I think it was cute how Pyeong-Seok cared about her when she was hurt. It was also nice to see how Hee-Ji didn't give up on Pyeong-Seok when he was so shy at the start. Her hard work was not in vain.

This show was so nice and innocent, that I was enjoying every second of it. I felt like I could relate a lot to the contestants and to their thoughts about being adults and to their thoughts about the future. I felt like the producers tried their best to give everyone screentime, but I can agree it can be hard when some of them are very reactive.

I was so emotionally invested that when things didn't work out, it felt like I was the person getting rejected. After watching this show, it leaves me with the hope that there will be a season 2 with new contestants.

Captivating and Engaging Military Show

Steel Troop is truly a show that is intense and gets you hooked on the difficult and thrilling missions they need to complete. It also shows the unity and sportmanship both as a team and as multiple teams. The unity these guys have is incredible to watch.

Every episode felt like an action movie, I got so emotionally invested and I felt my heart pounding really fast during the missions and it also felt like I was a part of the team.

It was intense from the start until the end. It started off with 707 talking big and provoking the other teams. It was then funny to watch how they ended last in the next battle. It actually kind of enraged me how they acted towards the other teams. The whole team seemed like a bunch of annoying pricks that can't handle real life situations. Perfect example of "all bark no bite". What makes it even funnier is the fact that it got so bad, they had to remove their team leader from the screen. During the missions, you see them skipping the scenes where he is talking or his face is shown. In the end they got so tired they completely removed him from the show and got the team a substitute member.

Among the teams, UDT was my favorite. They had a good variety of members and took care of each other. When they faced hardships, they didn't let it stop them, they kept on going and never gave up until the end. It was nice seeing the bromance between UDT and SSU. Truly a pleasure to watch and it warmed my heart.

I feel like the show itself was well planned and executed from start to end. They have nice panelists, they are funny and they are different types of people, a comedian, Hee-Chul, Chuu, the Master and so on. I liked how they showed the different items that were being used in the missions (e.g pistol, tire etc). You could then get a grasp on how it would be for a regular person to use these items.

This is a show I could recommend to anyone and you don't have to be a military enthusiast to like this show. Its thrilling and makes you wanting to watch even more when you've finished an episode.

A Different Type Of Dating Show

I came across this dating show on Instagram and decided to give it a go. I was wondering if I would be as "hooked" as I am watching regular dating shows where the cast members are around the age 20 to 30. Well, I was surprised in a good way. The show is about 8 adults aged around 50 years old camping together while also looking for love.

You might think this would be boring because they're not young anymore and doesn't have that same spirit as the young people have today, but you are wrong. They were active and expressed their true feelings to each other. It was honestly nice to see how the contestants finally got to feel young again, to feel that youthful romance that they have longed for.

When it comes to the contestants, they were nice and funny in their own ways. I really liked the moment when Daniel showed up to a date with Jiwon and it ended up being a bromance date where they just enjoyed being together. Same thing with Eunjin being a funny guy with a confidence through the roof.

This was definitely a show that gives you a different kind of vibe. It really gives you an insight to the older people's lives and it shows that they have some of the same worries that we younger people do. I truly recommend you to watch this if you're looking for something new.

Intense but good

After watching season 1, I was looking forward to this season with great anticipation, and it was good, but there were parts that let me down.

First of all, it was intense to watch at times. The drama between the cast members made me wondering what would happen next. This really showed how much "damage" a misunderstanding can cause. If people continue to not talk to each other about their thoughts on sensitive topics, this is what will happen. But as intense as it was, it was nice seeing how they solved the issue. It made me think "strong friendships can overcome anything".

If I think of the whole show and the concept that it conveys, it really puts these young adults through a hard test. It's an experience where they get to feel all these different emotions, as well as minding each others feelings and thoughts, both their friends and the ones they like. I hope both their friendship and their love goes well after the show.

If I'm going to talk about the cast, it was a 50/50 good and bad feeling. Some were good, while others were bad.

Cast:

Hyejung seemed a bit fake at times, casually saying she was sick during her date and using it as an excuse not to talk to Youngmin. She was promising at the start, but after seeing her true colors her charm dropped to zero.

Dayoon was a pure and cute girl. She had her own ways of expressing herself, but I could feel her sincerity. She has her own charm and I liked how she went her own way, didn't mind the other girls and went straight for the guy she wanted.

Jay seemed like the most real person among the girls, showing her trueself, being true to her feelings. No wonder the guys liked her.

Juyoung is just a noona. Trying to take care of the girls. "Disappeared in the crowd" compared to the other girls.

Yongshik was trying to act cool and show his feelings to the girl he likes, but it all seemed like a front to hide his inferiority as the youngest guy.

Jaehoon was open and true to his feelings, but should have maybe expressed his feelings more to the girl he liked.

Sunghyun - I didnt really understand why they were so interested in him, Youngmin had better looks in my opinion. And Sunghyun wasn't expressing himself and just stayed quiet most of the time.

When it comes to the production, I felt like they should have given Youngmin more screentime. He had a very cute and pure romance with Dayoon, would have been great to seen more. I also think that they maybe could have picked other datepicking methods. I'm saying this with most cast members in mind, most of them ended up staying at the house for multiple days in a row. It was mostly Hyejung, Jay and Sunghyun who were out on dates. It would have also been nice seeing more activity dates instead of the regular casual restaurant date.

All in all, it was a good show, hopefully it improves more until next time. I'm looking forward to it and I'm hoping for a Season 3.

Unique Plot

The movie truly shows how far hard work can get you, even if you work as a police officer or as a chicken restaurant employee. They used the situation they were in and made the best out of it. And it all makes it easier when you got your friends around you. Friendship can get you through most situations.

With its unique plot and a unique type of characters, Extreme Job leaves you wondering what you just watched. All of the actors fit their role so good, its a pleasure to watch. I liked how you don't really expect what to happen throughout the movie and just sit there laughing at the unreal coincidences. It was truly a funny movie to watch and it might be something I will rewatch one day.

Lovely and pure show

Started off this show with a good feeling, I was so immersed that it took me quite some time to realize there wasn't any panelists.

I didn't read much into the show before watching it, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The way that they let the female contestants observe the male contestants before meeting each other for the first time was a new twist that I haven't seen before.

I thought it was funny that Seok Hyeon was the only one that didn't get chosen from their observation, but then most of the girls seemed interested after meeting him in person.

I actually rooted for Seok Hyeon and Young Hyun. They were so cute and lovey dovey during their first date and Young Hyun felt like an honest and upright person. I honestly felt like she was the best pick for Seok Hyeon, but then Yena came and ruined everything.

I can agree that her appearance and looks are astonishing and I would assume she was like that after seeing her, but when I got to know how she behaved, all of that first impression disappeared. Never have I seen such a fake person. Her fake smile and her fake laugh, all to hide her true colors. Fortunately Tae Woong had the guts to tell her about it, which made me like him even more.

If I look apart from Yena, the show was actually great. It had some good chemistry and cute moments with some intense drama. Time flew by when I watched it and I was done after 3 days. I would truly recommend this to anyone who wants to have a taste of that youthful love.
