I get why Ji an is into Lee Hyeon but I don't get why he reciprocates...well not really but he doesn't push her back. When she is pouring her heart out he just moves closer and you can see his robotic response...so dead pan.
Also all my suspicions about everyone have been confirmed already...did I call it or what!
This episode they humanized Joon Ho I don't get why these shows do that. Why not let evil men be evil men? Why can't they just be bad for the simple reason that they are bad, they are just born that way and not out of circumstances and situations?
I am still enjoying how Lee Hyeon, Min and Joon Ho are toying with each other, sussing and bating each other. It feels like an elaborate game of chess. One of the best aspects of the show.
Never in all of the Kdramas I have watched has a protagonist's arrogance killed someone, but this show is the first. Had Lee Hyeon opened the boxes that Min had sent him, could some (fictional) lives be saved? I wonder?
What I would also like to know is what favor Lee Hyeon had done for the art dealer for him to owe him so much. The guy is literally under Lee Hyeon's thumb.
Also it is way too subtle but is the team leader developing a crush on Ja An?

I have never gone through a Kdrama series so quickly. It feels like an abridged version of a show. All the ingredients are there but just condensed and I am not so sure I like it.

I thought that Lee Hyeon and Ji An were the only one with telepathic capabilities in this show but apparently in this world, this is a real thing which is why Lee Joon can converse with our hero too.
I have to say I enjoy the dynamic between Lee Joon and Min, just what I would imagine two psychopaths to be like when they meet. Coldly delivered death threats that are received in a nonchalant way over tea!
The relationship between our lead couple inches forward with hand holding at episode 15, the second last episode of the series! Why are the posters only focusing on the lead pair when it was never about the two of them ever?

How did Lee Hyeon get into Min's house, don't they have locks in houses?
Also I totally called Min's involvement!! It was supposed to be satisfying but it wasn't.
With Ji An, maybe it took her 12 episodes to show why Jang Na Ra chose this role, maybe she will rise to the occasion this time...maybe right?!!
Every time Ji An says she will protect Lee Hyeon he has the same smile I have, I mean seriously what has she done so far to prove that she can protect anyone else let alone someone who has serial killers after him that have evaded being apprehended for decades?
Ji An is a dective and still can't figure out Min's identity. Just look at all the people who match Min's age that are in their close proximity...I would do that.
Also so many things make no sense, why did the cops spend the night and why are they sleeping on the same bed. Come to think of it I have never seen Lee Hyeon sleep on a bed too always on the table. The house has only one bedroom?
The show has chosen a very likely route for brotherly bonding...get a murderer on Lee Hyeon's tail. Also how could Lee Hyeon flashback to the conversation that Joon Ho and Min are having?

The bonding time between the lead by the sink as supposed to show their relationship developing but it was too short and I am still finding it hard to buy into the genuine relationship between the couple.
I like the games that Lee Hyeon is playing with his brother and the forensics doctor, everyone knows that something is going on under the surface but no one is letting on what they know.
I am still baffled by the level of incompetence of the special investigation unit. Ji An has no skills as an officer really??!!! Show give the girls who watch these dramas some positive role model and they could have had a great one in Ji An but they failed miserably.

I like the commissioner, at least he has a sense of order and realism.
The bickering between Lee Hyeon and Ji An is supposed to show us the chemistry between them, but Guk's dead pan delivery makes the bickering feel genuine. It doesn't seem like a cat and mouse chase but because Ji An has yet to prove herself as a noteworthy character, it feels like a lion is playing with a mouse just because he is bored.
As for the idiot move of fleeing the crime scene, only time will tell if Lee Hyeon is a genius or are the idiot cops rubbing off on him

Firstly, did anyone notice the sudden camera change at the start of the episode as opposed to the pilot? Why did the ambulance transporting the creepy inmate to the hospital have to be CGI? Did anyone else get reminded of Anna and Elsa when Lee Hyeon's brother asks him to come out of the basement school.
Also can someone acknowledge what a jerk the father is, the kid actually said 'why not just ask me' and still he goes on with the ridiculous plan of prison school.
I know it is early to say this but my money is on the little brother, he is the final villain.

When watching a new show, I decide if I want to watch it based on the posters, leads and try to read the shortest synopsis that I can find on the show just to keep my opinion on the show unbiased.
What attracted me to the show was Jang Na Ra, I was curious about how the little snail would play a brave police officer (although I had seen her in My Love Pazzi and she was anything but shy in that series but the character she played in Fated was so stuck in my mind that I had to shake it off by watching her in a strong female lead and not the silent strong but the in your face strong if that makes sense).
I was pleasantly surprised with the first episode of the show though. Yes, the show started with her but quickly focused on the male lead and his back story. I also liked how we are right in the thick of things from the get go. No time to introduce characters, we can learn about them as the series progresses, what is more important here is the plot so on with it!
PS I love the 'We need to talk about Kevin' vibe that the show is giving off.

Like all things in Kdrama world, everything wraps up in a clean little box with a ribbon on it. It didn't feel like a real series, it was like speed dating.

What was the deal with the music video at the start of the episode and the food fight ending with the Kimchi in the face?
As the series progresses, there are a lot less meta moments and more serious drama stuff? This would have been fine if the series was an actual drama not a 13 minute episode.

Meta moments galore, audio flashbacks, covering up the logos on cars. The writers sure put a lot of thought into showing the nuances of our beloved dramas. As for the plot of the drama, seriously feels rushed.

I screamed so loud when Siwon made a cameo that my dog freaked and ran out of the room!!! He even kicked the girl who was with him!
Also drunken piggy back rides!!! Priceless!!
As for the series, the plot thickens. Is it just me or has the show been a bit westernized, because of the brevity of the episodes, nothing seems to be resonating because not enough time has been spent developing characters, feelings or dare I say it plot.

Characters like Tae In are the reason why I have such high expectations in men. Selling his bike to buy Bo Ri the woman he loves a phone so she can talk to her boyfriend!! Drama you are breaking my heart here. Also how cute was he walking behind Bo Ri and playing with her shadow. He even runs to her house to wish her goodnight when he has trouble sleeping. So Cute!
What is with Yoon Ah, she is so mean to Bo Ri and then asks her for Hyeon-Woo back...what was she expecting her to say?
BTW I have been meaning to mention Ho Jun's and his delusions of grandeur but keep being side tracked by the leads of the show. I love who well they have randomly thrown his delusional rants randomly, makes me laugh every time.

For a show that has no emotional depth as far as I am concerned, it still hurts me to see Tae In cry alone in the classroom. Why did he have to organize the party for Bo Ri and Hyeon-Woo? That was completely unnecessary, Also why did Bo Ri forgive him so easily, it didn't make sense especially because she was thinking of Tae In the entire time.
Speaking of uncharacteristic behavior, after crying his lungs out the night before, Tae In gives Bo Ri the cold shoulder the next day which is understandable but the very next day he gives her a care package!! What!!
Then the final nail on the coffin, Tae In calls Hyeon-Woo to pick Bo Ri up when they are at the deserted road side. Tae In Ah why are you so good. Also I can't believe Bo Ri she calls him first but then ditches him after he has gone out of his way to be so nice to her. The nerve of the woman!!!! He even fell sick the next day, aawww poor puppy.

Of all the characters in the show I feel Hyeon-Woo is the weakest. Evasive, non confrontational, I have called him this time and time again, he is just every shade of pastel there are in the world. Always calm and contained but never in a good way, he never emotes and that is what I hate about him. After meeting Tae In after has ruined his love life he can't even convincingly show anger or frustration. He always has a stupid smile plastered on his face and agreed he looks the right way and says the right thing it never feels right. Bo Ri may be whiny and weepy, Tae In may be rash and immature but atleast they are something. From the male lead of the show, we never get anything ever...he is like a plastic ken doll. Only good for show.
As for how Tae In acted in this episode, I feel that it was necessary to justify the final outcome the show is leading towards. Tae In may be a good friend and under all that sass and attitude, there is a good and kindhearted person, but he is still a high school student. As a 'teen' (I say this because Gong Yoo was 26 when they cast him as a 17 year old in this show) he still needs to learn that there are consequences to his actions that he needs to face once he has planned a course of action. Just as a child wanting a toy, he does not see that the way he has acted is wrong, all he sees is what he needs to do to get what he wants which in this case is Bo Ri.
Also week after week the students have such dire situations, last week terminal illness and now a blind sister!!! Really show!!! How pitiful are the students in Bo Ri's class. One sob story after another.
