What do we want? More 40 year olds in dramas!
When do we want it? Now!
How do we want it? By making them act like teenagers...?
And that would about sum up the biggest problem I have with this drama. The writers had the opportunity to make a really interesting, romantic and mature drama by having some well-known actors in their 40s and decided that they needed to pussyfoot around each other with the emotional dexterity of two kindergartners on a playground?
Make it make sense!
The glaring and the lil' quips were cute...for maybe 2 episodes. At one point, you're going to have to start acting your age, and trust, it took a LOT for me to get through *checks notes* 8 episodes for that to happen. And the writers aren't just guilty of delaying their romantic development for 8 episodes, but tragically, the whole damn plot! It takes nearly 3/4th of the drama to be done (in a 12 episode drama!) JUST for the pace to start picking up.
As a Shakespeare once said... "Ain't nobody got time fo' dat!"
