Morally Grey FL Going Against Fate...with consequences

In a nutshell, the FL is going against the big-bad author while making morally grey choices to save herself. The ML ultimately cares for her and has sympathy for the FL, and hardly stops caring for her. However, there are some scenes in the show where the ML is aggressive towards the FL after she attempted to kill him which he does not know that she is 99.9% sure he won’t die. Both the ML and FL are morally grey. The story leaves the watcher in anticipation and is not boring. There are some twists in the ending which is open to interpretation of a season 2.

*Dry Story* FL Falls For Childish and Somewhat Dumb ML *Don't waste your time*

The story is about a FL who has a mission to disciple the ML. The ML has a prior and married lover that allegedly saved him from drowning, which is the basis of their relationship. It is revealed in the later episodes that is actually the FL who saved him. The ML attempts to divorce the FL with the help of the main female villain but ends up putting the FL in jail. The ML gradually falls in love with the FL but the FL has a mission in mind despite her love for him slowly becoming stronger. The ML quickly and no longer likes the female villain AKA prior lover. The issue is that the female is physically aggressive towards which is disguised under discipline. Their relationship is more like teacher x student. The male lead is clinging and doting however he is extremely childish, quickly jealous, destructive (of a fragrance from FL's best friend), and quickly gets mad at the Fl for marrying him to "discipline" him. While ML has the right to feel hurt since the FL was rather touchy with him. However, the ML is rather possessive and was the one at first to tell her that "she could not be his lover" which was the truth at the time and he had the right to disclose that. However, he put her in jail and did not think of the consequences of the ***serious*** accusation he made against her. Despite his intent of their marriage changing, he himself had different intentions at first as did she. However, they never mutually disclosed their relationship to be romantic although it was implied through their physical touch and it being predominately portrayed as a one-sided love. In the end the two end up together after the ML proves his love to her and they have a child. Overall, the leads lack chemistry and towards the end, the FL fails to portray the FL's emotions. The ML is a very flat character and can be simply described as childish. The story is rather bland, a bit comedic and has generally light tones. The story is not worth watching and is a waste of time. The story is quite ridiculous and the male lead is rather frustrating as well as the FL who just plays along and becomes rather dry towards the end.

PROMISING INTRODUCTION TO GL FILMS

"Led Astray" by love is one of the introductions to the GL dramas.

PLOT
Pei Shuang Yi transmigrates to the manhua she was reading and meets the leader Xiao Yi. The two interact, bond, and create a friendship. Pei Shuang Yi is under the impression Xiao Yi is a servant like her and does not know of Xiao Yi's identity as Baimin city's ruler. The end is a cliffhanger where we see Pei Shuang Yi getting saved.

CRITIQUES
The show ended short and did not continue, however many introduced GL (Chinese) films are short. It had little potential to become great, however the potential to create a longer show. The Legend of Yunze is the longest one where it is continued. The story was okay, however it is a start to GL dramas.

(Note: Don't mind the music value, I watched it long ago and forgot the music)

UNMEMORABLE BUT SWEET

The story is bringing women empowerment as Chef Ling Xiao Xiao faces discrimination, however the story is unmemorable.
Nutshell: Decent; laugh worthy; short; Lighthearted

PLOT
Chef Ling Xiao Xiao earns her place in the Delicacies Kitchen and befriends Crown Prince Zhu Shou Kui. Despite the Crown Prince known for being obnoxious and "violent" by throwing food around, the two eventually make a friendship which grows to something more. In the end, after facing the cruelty of the Empress and King, Chef Ling Xiao Xiao must pick between ever setting foot in the Delicacies Kitchen again or marrying Crown Prince Zhu Shou Kui. In the first ending, after she picks cooking, Crown Prince Zhu Shou Kui gives up the title of Crown Prince to chase after Ling Xiao Xiao. They later marry. The second ending consists of the two marrying, however Ling Xiao Xiao confessed to the Crown Prince after the Crown Princess selection, which has no “dramatic” decision between the kitchen and the Crown Prince.

PROPS:
The costumes and props were in the medium budget range. It has even made its way to Disney+.

OPINION
The drama was okay, and compared to other Chinese dramas, it is short at 16 episodes+1 Alternate ending. “Delicacies Destiny” was just okay because it didn’t offer a grand or extremely enticing plot, however it was funny and light hearted. Ling Xiao Xiao beats the bad guys (minimal) and is the classic “smart” female protagonist. Since the show is PG and light hearted, it does not feature the usual scheming palace.

CRITIQUES
The male lead throws "tantrums"—throwing food on the floor and flipping the table over which seems realistic for being a spoiled prince. However, it is a first bad impression because the question to pose is: An adult male who is throws food on the floor is supposed to be a good male lead? It is understandable for characters to have flaws, and we see less of his tantrums in the future, however it is not good for a habit like that to be featured. However, as the habit disappears, it may be showing his change.

AGE RATING
On Disney+, the show is rated PG, however it has minor elements that could make it more in the higher age range due to the little amount of “violence” of the Crown Prince’s tantrums (flipping over a table of food; spoiled Prince stuff but minimal) and a man trying to cause a scene to make Ling Xiao Xiao go home with him as his “wife.”

CONCLUSION
The story is good overall, however it is not the best and is obvious it is not striving for it. Despite the possible areas of improvement, the drama is enjoyable to watch, will bring smiles to your face, and will make you laugh.

FL x ML who was born as and made into a villain

The show has a complex Fl and ML. The ML became evil b/c of his evil bone that made him evil without salvation. However, he gave into this evil because of the abuzz he faced throughout his ENTIRE life. The FL goes back in time to remedy his destruction and evil. The story is never dry and features action and romance. The relationship can be a bit abusive towards the end however this is b/c the ML is messing with the big bad god and sacrificing himself which leads to internally battle this big bad god that can CONTROL him. Also, he says that no one ever is loyal with him but there is the support character that is loyal to him but is relatively new and was not significant as the other ppl who left him at the time. My biggest gripe is that it does not follow the novel which makes the ML more ruthless and shows the side of him that is inconsiderate and makes heartbreaking scenes even more impactful. I also wish it showed more of the happy ending and was not cut off so quick. I do not think there will be a season 2 b/c I have not seen as second book of it mentioned, however maybe the ending will come later but it is not likely.
About the season: Till the End of the moon had scenes cut to meet China’s requirements
