More Communication Issues! But Love Can Transcend the Galaxy! Spoiler Alert!

I titled one of my reviews for another drama “Major Communication Issues” and I have to say, this one is also falling in the same category, just not to such a great extent, and applicable mostly to the ML! But still, when you have to keep it a secret that you’ve lived on earth for 400 years, that you’re exceedingly wealthy, that you can teleport and have other superhuman powers, that you get sick from saliva or blood mingling, you can expect communication issues, I guess! And yet, you have sympathy for ML because you do become the black sheep or target when you levitate people’s dinnerware accidentally after you drink too much, or when you disappear suddenly at the speed of light and reappear elsewhere. What’s redeeming about this drama is that FL won’t let Mr. Alien’s weird non-talk/barriers/impenetrability to even remotely stop her! She has an indomitable spirit which is refreshing to see. She communicates almost too much, which is why they are the perfect couple actually! There are many scenes in this series with laugh out loud moments! But still, the FL—she has a lot of issues. Frankly, she seems pretty mean sometimes! However, she doesn’t hide her feelings which is a positive. She can be sort of selfish and self-absorbed too! Why does she keep hanging on to her boyfriend/friend of 15 years while a) she’s crushing on Mr. Alien and b) knowing that her “best friend” (who’s a little bipolar—nice, mean, nice, mean) also likes her boyfriend! But, in the end, what makes her character redeemable to me is that she is willing to accept him for who he is, and not let a little thing like his alien-ness get in the way. Also, a few other matters—how can she afford to stay in uber-luxury apartment after she runs out of money? Why don’t the police/prosecutor turn Mr. Alien in immediately? (Normally, he’d be whisked off to Area 54 in a hot minute in the US). Also, as usual in Korean dramas, how come there is such an issue with not telling parents when you break up with supposed “pledged” boyfriend? Why did Mr. Alien buy her such a small ring? He’s loaded! After he manages to return to Earth, are they married? Do they sleep together? Can they sleep together? Does he still have any of his assets? I would think so since they’re still living in his house. But it’s really so romantic that he manages to make his way back to her even though sometimes he can’t manage to stay all the time. I do think some things were lost in translation to me but overall what a lovely, romantic, fun, emotional drama!
