A beautiful coming of age lgbtq movie
I knew this would be a good movie based on other people’s reviews, I just didn’t expect this level of acting and cinematography. The story of Jia Han and Birdy wasn’t a perfect one, but a realistic one and a story that needed to be told. This film dealt with real issues such as homophobia, society norms and conflicting emotions aswell as the church. The emotional elements the soundtrack brought made every scene even more beautiful/emotional. Jia Han and Birdys story may feel like fiction but represent real life people (based on true events) and every person affected by homophobia in the 80s. The movie perfectly captured teenage friendship, feelings and confusion. Although the ending was ambiguous it was also beautiful and in my opinion and peaceful ending for both men- at peace with their sexuality and together, wether it be as friends or something more. The last scene with them walking together and the flashback of them playing with the guitar and ball was amazing and this was even more accentuated by the song which included the title “your name engraved herein”. I would go as far to say this was one of the best films of the past decade and I couldn’t recommend it more, at times you’ll be laughing at their friendship and the story but at others cry at how raw and real the scenes are. This isn’t a BL but don’t let that deter you from watching, everyone should watch this film.Cet avis était-il utile?

A wholesome and beautiful movie
I wasn’t originally gonna watch this, instead looking for other movies but I caved and I’m happy I did- this was a seriously good movie. Shino and Seiryo relationship development was so beautiful to watch, this movie had you smiling at how genuinely sweet all their interactions were. It was interesting yet cool how the narration changed from Shinos point of view to Seryous, a contrast between Shinos lighthearted outlook and Seryous more serious outlook on the “week long relationship”. Every character was lovable, I found myself shipping them quickly just because of how sweet their interactions were. Both actors shared great chemistry and really gave their best in embodying the role. Although never fully revealed, you could see how Shino (though a bit confused) grew feelings for Seiryo, as shown when he got jealous at the call with the other Shino. My favourite scene of Shinzo would probably be where he touches Seryous face and they almost kiss. His love was also shown when he grew more attentive to Seiryo facial features, gifting us such a cute scene where the chemistry was killer. Although he hadn’t really realised it, he was already falling in love. I loved how they showed Seiryo more serious outlook, believing in love but believing at the same time it might not ever happen to him yet still having hope each week. It was so pretty seeing how he was unable to break up with Shino ( by then he was already falling) it was also shown throughout where he couldn’t take his eyes off Shino, and although he still did everything he did every week, he did more such as actually kissing Shino and realising his feelings. My favourite scene of his has got to be saying good bye to the other Shino/ex, validating the fact he was inlove with Shino. It was a really beautiful ending yet also bittersweet, beautiful and evokes joy in its own right but also sadness at the fact the movie is over. Overall I give this 10/10 because of how good it is, it’s only one hour long but is still a great movie that is worth multiple rewatches. The extra characters such as the friends provided good plot aid but also their own likeable characters, the adding of the archery club let there be a bonding between Seiryo and Shino even before they had properly talked. I know if I’m feeling down, this movie will be there to cheer me up.I don’t think I can choose a favourite scene, because each minute was good in its own right but if I had to it would probably be the scene where they kiss which was really cute or the ending just at how beautiful it is.

“Another new week has begun, where I can walk alongside you”
I’m gonna keep this review short, as I mostly said the same stuff in my review for the first part- Seven days Monday-Thursday. It was a interesting yet welcoming experience to see how Shinos feelings changed throughout the week/3days of his pov we were shown. The movie captured the awkwardness and confusion surrounding teenage feelings really well and like last time, all their interactions were cute and made you smile. But due to the tension the end of the week brought aswell as uncertainty you could see Seiryo become gradually more panicked, aswell as Shino. I really enjoyed seeing their in school interactions and out of school interactions as they both found in eachother acceptance and love. I think I would probably rewatch the first instalment rather than the last just because it was less angst (start of the week, the innocent dual growth of feelings rather than worrying about the end of week). The ending was really beautiful and the final words on screen can’t help but make you feel sad that you won’t see their story anymore but happy that they got a happy ending. “Another new week has begun, where I can walk alongside you”. Seiryo and Shino both loved the others “flaws/imperfections” about their personality eg Shinos ever changing emotions and brash nature. They both truly love eachother and it was beautiful to see develop and bloom. My favourite scene of Seiryo would probably be where He defends Shino against his ex’s straightforward nature, it was really nice to see how much he cared about Shino.
My favourite Shino scene would probably be where he is really happy at Seiryo saying he loved his personality, it was so innocent and adorable at his excitement at finally being accepted
My favourite scene of Seiryo and Shino together would probably be their kiss scene or the final 15 minutes at their confession and the beginning of Monday, with them still together. It was really beautiful to see.
Overall I give this a 10/10, a great continuation of the first movie and one that will leave you smiling at the innocence and beauty of the movie.

A interesting watch, but definitely worth it- go watch it ?
I first heard about this show when I was looking for Mangas to read, the plot definitely caught my eye but I ended up going with something else. Then I entirely switched Mediums and no longer read BL mangas as much. So when I saw this but as a live action, I decided to give it a shot. I’m glad I did. The movie provided awkward but lovable characters. The plot was handled well, especially with Yashiros changing feelings about his gender identity and sudden reveal of his secret “identity”. His character development was nice to see as he became more comfortable with himself and in turn grew as a character. Momose was complicated but turned out to be the most simple character as he was ultimately more ccomfortable, though at first a bit confused, with his newfound attraction for Yashiro. He had flaws, I don’t agree with what he did to Yashiro in the bedroom but I think it was a result of confusion and teenage hormones/awkwardness. Not excused, but understandable as he didn’t mean it. Their relationship development between both characters was really pretty to see as they both helped eachother in different ways, I especially liked seeing Momoses feelings go from only being attracted to Yashiro when he was cross dressing to being attracted even when he was in normal clothes. Overall I would give this a 9/10 purely because I wasn’t as attached to the characters due to the length, which also made the movie seemed somewhat rushed at times. I would probably rewatch this again and maybe reconsider my rating to a higher score but even so, although not amazing this was a really good watch and showed well teenage awkwardness around attraction and changing feelings. If you’re thinking about watching this, I’d recommend. It’s a good watch with a interesting plot.My favourite scene was probably the scene wher Momose gets hard even tho Yashiro is dressed normally, and holds his hand and the the final 10 minutes.
