First of, I must thank Magical ( via MDL) for suggesting this drama in the community section. Hey, Magical thank you.
Now that I got that out of the way, let me start of by saying this this drama was awesome. Why? It was not predictable and a lot of plot twists but in a good way. It's about power, those who have it and those who do not. Those who have power will rule the masses and those who do not will serve those in power. It teaches kids in a subtle way how the world works. Well what about the parents and their values? This drama found a way to make parents irrelevant because the kids live at school. And guess what the kids are separated by the only power they possess: grades and test scores. Do you get the picture now? Grades are power not money in this school and poor grades means your destined to live in poverty. In other words, you will accept whatever is handed to you.
Do you love this school or do you hate it? Hey do you wanna send you child there? This drama questions what do you really want for your child? Do you want them to have a good education or attend a school that treats every child equally? Can you accept the fact that what you value as important is not important for you child to succeed in the world? Such as just do your best and no one is better than you. Or will you reconsider your values and agree with the school that no one is equal and only the strong survive. Will you watch this drama and have your belief system challenged or will you run away because you can't handle your beliefs being wrong?
Lastly, I will not bore with, if the production is on the same as Korean Dramas or if the soundtrack is amazing because this is not a musical is a drama, and a damn good one at that. Watch it or don't but you have been warned.
