Remember, Today at exactly 4 Pm I finished, and fell head over heals with this drama.
(You'll only understand how deep this sentence is after you watch the drama yourself)

Honestly speaking, I was reluctant to watch this drama at first. Based on the trailer and summary, I half expected it to be an overwhelming drama, and not the good kind. I thought it will be a mess, and the plot would be all over the place because the theme of it sounded too complicated to be put together elegantly.

Boy oh boy was I wrong.

The drama not only captures you in, but makes you live as the characters. A lot of times, you will forget that you are a mere viewer. You will be so indulged into the story that it will make it hard not to think about the characters and feel sympathy or happiness for them. The fact that it is all an act will fly out the window. Why?

Hm.... where do I start?

Firstly, I must throw in a standing ovation for the cast. They played their role so believably that I'm still having a hard time not thinking this drama is actually their story. I am also mind-blown at how believable their crying is!! My heart would break into tiny little pieces and scatter all over the place just by seeing one of the characters cry. I would be surprised if they didn't end up with puffy eyes for a year after this drama. I would be surprised if I MYSELF didn't have puffy eyes for an entire year after this. (Nope, still hasn't checked the mirror. Not ready to face facts). You should also see the amount of folded napkins I have beside me right now. I am writing this review while my emotions are still fresh out of the oven.

Also, ji sung (CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS GUY IS 38???)... I have no words to describe this actor at the moment. I swear if he did not make the absolute amazing first impression on me, I would've shipped for the lead to end up with the other guy (whom I also fell in love with. But not saying who he is because I will spoil. You'll figure it out on your own and have your fair share of loving for him).
Seriously though, Ji sung's acting is so breathtakingly convincing. Every time his character took on a different personality, I completely believed it! I would no longer think "Oh this is just Cha do hyun doing this and that" Instead I'd be like "OH MY GOD WHAT IS THIS PERSON DOING" or "HAHAHA THIS IS JUST TOO PRECIOUS" or "LOL I JUST LOVE THIS PERSONALITY!" I fell inlove with Cha do hyun's different personalities as if they were played by other characters. I would view them as their own individuals, because the convincing acting made it obvious they were not the same person. Those different personalities will make you cry your eyes out, will make you laugh your head off and sometimes... even squeal at the utmost adorableness. Oh God I grin to myself just at the memory of certain situations.
Letting those personalities go..... it will kill you. Just for heads up.

The lead actress Hwang Jung-Eum is also amazing to say the least. She performed her part very very well. She's adorable really. You''ll instantly like her. It's hard not to! Her personality in the drama is downright DEABAK! (Meaning awesome haha). She's a strong willed, kind heart-ed person. And of course, she makes a good match for the lead. Sure, her screams can be deafening, but it just made her hilarious. She also handled the situations she was in really well. At least in my opinion.

As for Park Seo-Joon..... Oh my God that boy was just downright adorable. He would just kill me with personality. The problem with this person is, if I started stating my thoughts about his character, I will easily spoil a lot for you. And as much as I would LOVE to talk about him, I will restrain myself. However, I'm telling you for short. He is downright jaw-dropping.

The story, the characters, even the secondary ones are great. I am personally glad that although there was a bit of love triangles in this drama, they were handled good. They did not reach a point where you would absolutely hate a character for being annoying. Thankfully enough, there were no such complications.

Also, I have to say, I fell in love with the OST of this drama. I don't think I hated any song or instrumental at all. That's completely a first! I already have 3 songs of the OST downloaded on my phone, because even without them having anything to do with this drama, they are amazing songs.

All in all, before you watch this drama, make sure you're buckled up tight because you're up for a quite a ride. Be careful not to watch this drama in public though. There's no guarantee you will not seem like a lunatic for suddenly laughing out loud. Just saying :)

Oh! One more thing: Don't forget to have napkins at arm's reach. Trust me. You'll need them.

This drama.. did things to my heart that can't simply be put in words.
First of all, I absolutely loved the plot and the characters. Oh God the characters...

It's actually my first time seeing Ji Chang Wook on screen so to say the least, the first impression he made on me will surely last. He just captivated me with his role as Healer. And he can be supper adorable when he's acting all weak and innocent!!
This is also my first time seeing the lead actress and I must say, I like her. She suited her role and nailed it. At the first 2 episodes I wasn't sure what to think of her character, but just soon after she easily won me over completely. Her character is just adorable and simply lovable, especially how she's not bitter about having a rough childhood. I personally don't see a reason for not liking her character.

I also loved the mother. I loved Yoo Ji Tae's character. He's a perfect representation of a human's conflict with morals and feelings. He's also warm, helping and just too cute when he grins :D I absolutely loooooved Ahjummaa hahaha she just kept cracking me up. The characters' role was very suiting, long side all the other secondary characters that were helpful to the leads. They all take a little space in your heart. Just seeing the leads around these nice secondary characters will put you at ease. I also found the post office and all who worked in it very home-y and awesome.
Yeong Shin's father and her father's helper also cracked me up, especially when acting overprotective and all XD
I also liked how the characters handled the situations they were in. There were no stupid fights over frustrating misunderstandings. There were no secondary characters butting in on the lead's love. I seriously can't stand those misunderstanding that happen because of another character who loves one of the leads. I mean a love triangle can be fun sometimes, but other times it just drives one crazy.
Even the bad characters, although irritating and infuriating, they weirdly enough aren't so annoying. They make you want to kill them, yes. But you'll simply feel hate, not annoyance.

Another thing that made me fall in love was the fact that this was basically the first love for both the lead characters. It made it feel so sincere and innocent. I mean, who wouldn't like a guy who never dated before or had much interest in girls before and a girl who also didn't date and has been saving herself to be their fist love? It just instant;y screams LOYALTY to your face. It's a kind of love we would innocently dream of as kids. So to see it displayed is a dream come true.

It didn't focus much on comedy as much as it focused on thriller, drama, action and romance.Still, the few moments that were funny can sure drive you to laugh. And even without those funny moments, a lot of other parts can easily put a smile on your face (My biggest weakness was when Jung hoo ((Healer)) smiled around Yeong shin).
To be honest, at parts, I felt bad for moon ho's brother, but I suppose he chose this fate.

Over all, this drama will do things to your heart.Trust me. Some parts will drive you to tears. Some will make you laugh. Some will make you smile. Some will just move a feeling inside that you cannot explain. Also the soundtracks are soft, sweet and relevant.
It will make you long for it once you finish it. You won't feel too comfortable seeing the characters who played it act in other dramas because the character you have for them in your head will stay these characters of Healer for a while. Or at least, that's how it goes for me.
Memorable drama. It will make you happy. Watch now! NOW! Go what are you waiting for!

There's something in literature called "Catharsis", which is the process of releasing, and thereby providing relief from, strong or repressed emotions.

For once (I weirdly admit), a literary term was useful enough to describe something I went through.

This drama was a rush of various emotions. No episode ended without me having to hold my breath. A lot of times I literally had to scold myself to put down the device I'm watching on and go to sleep.

Okay let's go one by one explaining likes/dislikes about it:

Story:

The plot was very captivating I admit. It was fresh and overall different from usual twin-switching-lives sort of thing. The complexes they faced were twisted nicely, and the pace of their revelation was well planned as well. You barely have time to find release after taking care of one problem. They knew how to keep you on your toes that's for sure. It was really stressful at times, but after the problem is taken care of you will just feel even more connected to the characters. All in all... It was adorable and I certainly don't regret watching. However, I don't think I can re-watch it. At least not any time soon. It's the type of drama you love and wouldn't mind watching if it suddenly appeared on TV, but you wouldn't do it willingly. Or at least I wouldn't, because even though I already know what will happen, it will still be stressful for me to re-watch and re-live some moments.

But.... I might be willing to watch it and skip only to the cute adorable moments :)

Characters (Acting/Cast):

I don't really think I have anything bad to say about any of the cast's acting. They all acted their part very convincingly, and some even, very cutely.

The lead actress though... She's no joke, that's for sure. She was amazing in both her parts. The way she displayed each of the twins made it very easy to distinguish between them. Somehow although they look exactly alike (and obviously are actually the same person) I find it at times hard to imagine that there weren't two different girls playing those parts. I know this will sound strange and I'm not sure all people think so, but she has the prettiest grin/smile I've ever seen a female actor have. I also like how her character was not mean to the lead she did not like back and didn't push him away like how leads tend to do in dramas. So yes. I like her. I in fact look forward to seeing her in more future dramas.

I also liked seeing Kim Joon Seok play the part of the homeroom teacher. The role fit him like a glove and he was so adorably funny. "That wasn't it was it?" haha this line always cracked me up. You'll understand once you watch it.

The two leading actors were very lovable and cute in many ways as well. It's my first time seeing any of them in a drama but now I'm pretty much fishing them out to see what else I can watch for them.

As for the antagonist (The person who apposes the main character; aka, the main "villain"), she annoyed me to the point where I literally kept glaring and making scary faces at my screen (which means the actress did her job greatly at performing her role. Applause). I really haven't been this annoyed by a character for so long. In fact, so far I think she's the most annoying character I ever stumbled upon. But, I did feel bad for her at the end.

The class as a whole were likable. They pulled through together till the very end, and had memorable moments. It gave me goosebumps. (And apparently it gave them too lol)

Music (OST):

There are three Ost songs I MUST have on my phone (in fact, already have one)

They are "Reset"

"Blowing in the wind"

"Return"

I don't know about you guys, but these songs are awesome!

My only tiny small slight disappointment is in the final pairing. I personally found more chemistry between the lead actress and the one she did not end up with, but not to the point where I'm really hateful of the actual pairing. I find the actual ship cute together. It's hard not to when both male leads are lovable. And some might even disagree about who's chemistry was better. It's a matter of taste and opinion.

So overall I DO recommend this drama. The journey although was a bit stressful, it was memorable and enjoyable. I don't regret a moment I spent on it. Hope you won't either.

OH OH final warning though.................

Prepare some tissues.

I don't know about you but I've used a whole box of them.

Maybe I'm just overly emotional when watching dramas who knows *sigh*

Anyways, take care! have a nice watch!!

Initially I wasn't planning on writing a review for this drama, but seeing all these negative reviews made me feel compelled to write one.
I'm not going to go all "This was amazing!" or "These people don't even know what they are talking about!!" because I can see some good points in what they are saying.
I personally wasn't so interested from the plot summary, but once I actaully ended up trying to watch it (for a strange reason you will see later down), I saw that the plot summary really doesn't do the drama justice. It really is more than that, but I am afraid to spoil if I gave a summary myself, therefore I will just share my thoughts.

1) The Plot : I agree. It could have been better. There are some points that I would have loved if they spent more time on. I felt as if some things could have gotten more screen time or more overall
importance. However, even with these dissatifaction, I couldn't help but be simply... intrigued. The
meaning behind the plot, the little lessons learnt through it, the cute/fun/tention-filled adventures, the
adorable and fun moments, still made me sit thoroughly intrigued. There are some things that appear to have a loophole in it, but I did not feel like it would have truly made a difference had they been more elaborated on. They just helped make a point, and that's all that was needed out of them. Overall, the plot was worth it. I just don't see why some really think it wasn't. Perhaps they were looking more than just a meaningful plot.

2) The Characters/Cast : I started this drama only knowing Lee Hyun Woo, and so far I liked him in all the dramas/movies he acted in, and this drama was no different, though I was kind of sad when he changed his blondish hair. I thought it looked especally good on him. Nonetheless, I loved his character, and he showed great character development.

The female leads....Why haven't I seen these two females before?? Simply put, I liked both of them.
I also loved their friendship with each other. First time I completely liked two female leads. usually one eventually gets on my nerve, but both of them were cool, kind and quite badass.

The supporting characters that were either students/teachers also left their impact on me, some more than others, but they all gave me a warm feeling when they were together. I really also believe we rarely give the older cast the credit they deserve.

As for Hong Bin (saving the best for last), well I know of VIXX through my friend, and I liked a song or two by them, but never really noticed him as an individual in it. In this drama I think he might just be my favorite character. He has his ups and downs, nonetheless he charmed me. I'm not saying he acted the best, but he's the one that made me smile the most and each time he smiled I wanted to repeat his own phrase back to him "Don't smile, I might start to like you"

3) Music: 10/10 yess! I don't know about all of you but there wasn't a song in there that I didn't like. In fact, the song "Alive" by VIXX is what got me wanting to start this drama. I couldn't help it! It was love at first sound. I just LOVED whenever it played in the drama itself. (I am even writing this review while listening to it). The other songs were also quite good. I don't think I was annoyed by any of them, and that's a first.

4) Rewatch Value: I feel like this drama has a high rewatch value. It is one of those dramas that would make you feel excited if you suddenly saw on T.V. Some scenes have that makes-you-feel-good effect on you. Or at least, it was the case with me.

I am not saying that just because I liked this drama that you will as well, but all I am saying, don't be swayed by all the negative reviews and at least give it a try. You might find value in it that someone else didn't. I found mine, and I am quite content.

It is up to you.

Cozy, Hilarious, Nostalgic but left me Empty

This review will not contain spoilers, but, in order to do that, I will also not contain too many details about the drama itself. I will mostly give an honest review about how this drama made me feel throughout.

When I started this drama, not only was I pleasantly surprised, but I found myself waiting on my toes to start or wait for the next episode.
I am in a very stressful period in my life but I still found myself unable to stop binge-watching as much as I can till 4 am, because, despite waking up like a zombie to work or to classes, I still had no regrets because the drama has acted as a much-needed remedy for this tough period.
The number of times I had to stop myself from laughing out loud in order not to wake my sister up so late at night was almost suffocating. Although I am not always a fan of over-the-top silly humor, somehow this drama made it work, because the characters made it work, because the actors made it work and they fully drew me in with every breath they took.
In terms of acting, everyone fulfilled their role so perfectly that I even forgot that I had seen the same actors in different dramas. In many dramas, I would still be able to hold on to one aspect of a personality that I had seen from some of the actors in other dramas. But in this one, the world of this drama was the only world where the actors belonged as the characters who they played. I forgot everywhere else I had ever seen them. Even Eun Woo who originally I was too scared to associate him too much with his role in My ID is Ms. Gangnam Beauty because of the similar theme of the dramas, I did not. He was simply Su hu for me. I laughed with the characters and cried with them, and even spoke to some of my family members about their problems as if I was their friend.

For some reason this drama made me feel very nostalgic. I am now in my college years and mid-twenties, and somehow this drama made me feel nostalgic to the time I was in high school, where life seemed like a dream full of possibilities and fairytales. The drama felt so cozy, and the comic book store where they always meet felt like just the place I would have loved to have in my neighborhood to escape into the world of stories and books. This is exactly how this drama felt - like it was my escape into a fairytale world.

The only thing that went wrong for me and left me empty in the end is how the last two episodes were dragged on, focusing mainly on a love-triangle that did nothing more than hurt at that point. Regardless of who I was rooting for, I will admit that in terms of the character and relationship development, the main couple who end up together make more sense. But, the fact that until the very last minute, they hinted that one side has yet to fully move on left me empty and unable to move on myself. Instead of finishing this drama feeling like I received my closure with the happy ending, It just left me wondering "what if" and "what will happen next," especially to the one she does not end up with, while fully knowing that nothing, nothing will happen next. The world of the drama has closed never to be open again, only leaving it to my imagination.

I will still probably rewatch this again, because regardless, the journey was beautiful and way too funny to not experience once more. And I do recommend you do give it a watch, especially if, like me, you feel like you need an escape from your reality for a bit.
If I wasn't in such a stage in my life I might have not appreciated the drama necessarily the same way. But this is the true beauty of dramas, that they find you at the right time and place.
Hope this one does the same for you.
