Terrible acting with the most boring ML and FL in history

I started this drama with high hopes, but, ended up finishing it only because I was curious how Hwi-young would end up. The ML kept a consistently pathetic and helpless expression on his face, walked with no confidence and approached his life in exactly that way. Not once did he step up for himself and to me, it seems like he'll be a doormat for the rest of his life.
Same goes for the FL. Always kind and saintly to people like Ro-mi who constantly put her down and are mean to her. I mean, really? Are there any teenagers like that, even? I felt that Hwi-young, Sang-hoon and Mr. Oh showed character development and acted well. The other characters including the moms were all one-dimensional and acted terribly. Terrible storyline, and they kept the episodes going by showing the kids in the class constantly gazing at each other for five minutes. I mean, that's all that seemed to happen. This person gazing at that person, then having a thoughtful expression on their face, eavesdropping around the lockers, asking if the other is ok - on repeat. Sorry, but, I have higher standards for my K-dramas.
