I laughed so hard I got a headache

When I saw the synopsis of this drama last year I was convinced that I wouldn't ever watch it, but thankfully the creators and actors had different view and found something in this absurd idea that I couldn't at first. Thanks to them I am now able to appreciate this perfection of a drama with their flawless execution and humor!

Comedy elements seemed so fresh and unexpected to me, I was surprised so many times that I couldn't predict anything anymore, which is always a huge plus in my eyes! I want to take a moment to appreciate the glowing lipstick, going home by a bus stuck in a window frame, the great hair loss (how many legs our poor Gwang Sik had to touch to get such a bald spot? :')), a cute side story of Ye Bun's aunt and Jong Muk with My Liberation Notes references, Ok Hee introduction and her friends with Eonni guy always being on her command, some relatable embarassments of our characters, Mi Ran tragically developed spying abilities and many more.

There was a great balance between comedy and mystery. I liked that before the main serial murders case we had a few smaller ones which were a nice and hilarious introduction.
The plot moved dynamically from light to heavy and the characters were used very cleverly to achieve this. I especially liked the moments of Jang Yeol's cooperation with Ye Bun and Gwang Sik, who along with a few other characters added a lot of uniqueness and originality to the series. A diversity of characters and their potential motives for the crime made it impossible to quickly guess the killer, especially after so many unexpected situations at the beginning. The creators were able to skillfully deceive the viewers (or at least me) until the end.

Lee Min Ki was perfect as always.
But most importantly, I had so much fun watching it that any flaw doesn't matter to me!

A borrowed idea of the first season, but wrapped in a layer of sugar

The first thing that I noticed in the very beginning was the significantly worse directing, especially in fights. The pacing and cuts had only comedic function that disrupted the dynamic of action.
The dialogues were tacky, acting was often over the top, some of the plot was primitive, main characters lacked depth and communication, their actions were ill-considered and based on speculation or luck, which was probably the result of lazy writing. A lot of plot holes.

In the previous season there was interesting contrast between willful actions of Rainbow Taxi and law. I liked the tension of being targetted by a prosecutor and nuances where Kang Ha Na was on the fence of law and justice. She could have been a great addition to this season.
The rest of main charecters also had interesting depth before, because they were victims and criminals at the same time who faced the loss of loved ones and trauma, and were still unstable. They had a moral confict between their good intentions and the desire for revenge leading to committing serious crimes on a quite large scale. They have all lost duality aspect in the second season, but Jang Sung Chul lost the most. He was previously the most conflicted, most brutal and hid the most darkness within himself (as well as connections with criminals :')), but he became "family-friendly" too quickly.
There used to be a lot of darkness overall, both in criminals harming people seeking help and in the solutions to their problems by Rainbow Taxi, but in the second season everything was kind of bland.
The story with the villain just was there.

On the plus side some of the episodes were hilarious, we got Madam Lim comeback and directing got a lot better in the second half.
