I love reading and watching BL <3

I’ve been reading BL since 2009. A short time later I started watching BL anime and saw my first Asian real life film with a gay romance. Unfortunately, I can’t remember which movie it was. In 2013 I watched several BL real life short films on Youtube. In 2022 I gave the real life BL series another chance. I don’t even know anymore why I avoided the real life BL series so much. Maybe because many of the real life anime adaptions weren’t really my thing back then. After I overcame this, I was curious and started my first real life BL series.

My journey:

First Korean BL: Color Rush I really like it (and love the OST). I wanted to see more, but I read that season 2 is missing one of the MC, so personally I didn't want to watch season 2 (maybe sometime later). Still, I was super hyped about real life BL series and that’s how I found Semantic Error. I had so much fun that I watched it three times in a row.

First Thai BL: Love with benefits I really don’t like it at all. I didn’t like the story and all the commercials and how they were thrown in front of you. I thought all Thai BLs are that extreme when it comes to advertising. So I dropped it and switched back to Korean BLs Cherry Blossom after Winter which was still airing at the time. That’s why I tried to watch Thai BLs again a short time later and found TharnType. In the beginning I didn’t really give the series a chance and just skipped through it. But the last two three episodes were so incredibly exciting that I watched them until 3 a.m. because it was so captivating. After that I watched the series for real and I was super hyped by the real life BLs.

First Taiwanese BL: Plus & Minus at first I really liked it, but for me personally the series didn't stay on the same level until the end and got worse. At this time I found HiStory3: Make Our Days Count and although I really hated the ending from HiStory3, I love the show so much that I watched it again straight away.

First Japanese BL: Kieta Hatsukoi I started this series but stopped right away because I read that the main characters in the series don’t kiss. After a while though, I came back to the series and loved it so much that it’s still one of my favorite series and even pre-ordered the first four volumes of the manga.

First Chinese BL: In your Heart I didn’t like it at all. I quit after 6 episodes. Maybe I’ll give Chinese BLs another chance later. I finally found a Chinese BL series that I absolutely love The Untamed. I avoided the show at first, because it's a censored adaption of same-sex original work and I wasn't sure, if I would enjoy the series. However,  I started reading the novel, I was hooked and started the series. Found the manhua. Manhua read through in no time. Back to the series. Back to the novel. Completely in love <3

First Filipino BL: Like in the Movies I really like it very much. It has some of the strongest most emotional moments and made me cry like hell. 

My personal favorite series, which either hyped me up a lot, moved me emotionally (e.g. heartbreaking, fun, excitement, love), are my little oasis of well-being or which I have already watched several times and can't get enough of:
