Excellent first half, but 2nd half, not so much

I can't believe that this was the ML's first drama, he was really good in portraying a blind person. I have seen the FL in other dramas and I think she's an actress that's able to have chemistry no matter who her partner is. The focus of the series is not just romance but also the needs of differently abled persons.

The first half is a sweet, slow burn romance that makes you want to believe in the love conquers all kind of love. I wish they did not have that violin player who was practicing by the lake when the FL just put on her earphones and sang out of tune during their meet cute, it made her look kinda rude, unless the violin player was supposed to be imaginary (I choose to believe he's imaginary haha). FL is a girl who just go all out for love and ML is a reticent guy whose coldness is melted by the FL's love. I could not help my silly smile because of their interactions during the FL's graduation.

Then the second half happened and they both seemed to have undergone personality surgeries. ML became unreasonable then guilty, FL became unforgiving then cowardly. I really don't understand the separation trope because IRL, if reconciliation takes a long time, feelings change and another romance may slip in. Maybe I am just not a fan of any kind of stalkery behavior in the name of romance, so I felt uncomfortable that the ML kept tabs on the FL. I also only like stolen kisses when both are being playful and both are conscious. It was a good thing that the ML has a boyish charm, otherwise when they met again he would have been was too overbearing while the FL was too submissive. I also felt that the resolution of the plot twist with the FL's friend was too rushed and the future of the boy with autism had no resolution at all. BUT since it's a happy ending, I would still recommend this series.

A relaxing and healing drama

This is a very well written drama. Some scenes visualize a GO battle as a martial arts battle, which made them more interesting to noobs like me.

I liked all the CPs, especially that of the main CP and the love triangle of yuda, cheng yi and xu chi. I liked that the series reinforced but also broke away from the childhood friend=destiny trope, to simply say that there's no rule, you love who you love.

I also liked that the story did not stop when the main CP got together but continued on to show how they continued to support each other, their families and friends, leaving you with the feeling that whatever challenges they may face in the future, they would be able to pull through it together.

Satisfyingly good

This is a must watch. Fluffy, funny and sweet. FL is cute and cheeky while ML is subtly sexy and loyal (arggh, those hidden smiles). If you are expecting an intense legal drama then this might not be for you. Laws were only cited like part of everyday life. I was prepared to suspend my disbelief but the 'time travel' actually made sense.

The leads' chemistry was through the roof. They had ways to express ILY without saying ILY. I particularly liked the 3 time hand squeeze. I felt like I watched 2 love stories in one, college romance and workplace romance. Both of which did not fail to give the flutters.

From the first episode, you can already see that Luxun does not do things that will charm Quanwei, instead he challenges her to be better but secretly helps her. You can also sense that he likes her but does not cross the boundary of boss and assistant. She did not look at him with romance in her eyes but she admired him and was comfortable with him. It was also very funny that she kept breaking the fourth wall, and I was hooked.

What I really liked is that show makes you feel that you can make your 'what ifs' into your 'what is', that reality is better than dreams and that there is a special someone, who may not be perfect, but this person will fill the void in your heart.

Some scenes were not realistic (well, this is a drama) but the end was still so satisfying. You can feel that after the drama ends, the characters will still argue, make up and fall in love all over again. The OSTs were also wonderful. The montage in the last episode was also like icing on cake, so make sure that you watch it until the very end.

It's not fair to compare this to kdrama School 2015

Except for this being an HS drama, and the poor twin being wrongly identified and so was able to have the life of the rich twin, this is nothing like School 2015.

In School 2015 Eunbi lost her memories and was wrongly identified as Eunbyol. She actually thought that the privileged life she returned to was hers. During this time, Eunbyol the rich twin, deliberately let Eunbi have her life. She did not lose her memories and was quietly investigating how to help Eunbi. This is really a case of mistaken identity. I liked it because it tackled the cause and effect of bullying.

Now in WWWY, Xia Er did not lose her memories, but because of money pretended to be Chu Yinyin. She accidentally picked up CYY's necklace and so was able to pretend. Meanwhile, CYY lost her memories and XE's friends wrongly identified her and took her home. To make the plot worse, XE saw CYY in her friend's Weibo live so she knew exactly where CYY was, she even visited her. She seemingly have a noble cause of investigating her sister's accident but this should have been handled by adults/police and not by teens who don't have any authority. In my opinion XE is just a swindler who wanted to experience her sister's Iife. She simply TOOK OVER and did not even feel guilty. The bullying shown in the drama was too superficial and its effect was glossed on over. Even after 15 episodes, I still couldn't relate to any of the characters and most acting were stiff, so I skipped to the last episode to see if there's any improvement but there's none. So please don't compare this to School 2015. Though I didn't like the end of the lovelines in School and the lovelines in WWWY had happier endings, School had a better plot, had more depth and had better acting.

Messy drama with good leads

It's short and sweet with a happy ending. The chemistry of the leads is what really saved the show for me. I would really want to see them in another project together. Their last scene certainly put a smile in my face.

The whole storytelling was spotty, meaning it was not as smooth as I would have liked, but it definitely have that something that makes you want to know what happens next. It was illogical at times but not to the point of being problematic. This was definitely worth the watch.

Horrible nightmare. Hateful male leads (U__U)

This did not deliver on its promise of sweet dreams. Aside from being such a draggy drama, its very cringey as well. I hated the dream sequences where the ML was either a coward or a scumbag. I also hated the ML and the SML in the real word of this drama. Both of them did not protect the FL which is already bad enough but they even led others to bully her which really made them hateful. The ML also forced the FL to sign a contract where she cannot even resign. Isn't that illegal? FlowerPlus is such a toxic company. Sending bloody packages to coworkers because of jealousy? Torturing a new hire to remove thorns from roses with bare hands and making them copy the company values manual just because you don't like them? Group harassment of an employee because of a rumor? And with a boss (ML) who likes to torture his assistant (FL)? All these are treated like it's all fine and dandy after just a simple apology. Who would even want to stay here IRL? The antics of the FL were usually cliched and stupid. So no, I won't waste anymore of my time to finish all 48 episodes, I don't think I can bear it.

Fresh and interesting

Though I've longed for it, I thought I'd never see the day with Kang Kiyoung as male lead and from the first episodes of this drama, he deserves to be one.

The drama is about a lawyer who lost everything, including her son, after being cheated by her husband and mother in law. She now works as a divorce resolver to help those who are going through unfair divorces. She also has to work with prosecutor-turned-lawyer Dong Kijoon, her former lover that she left to marry into money.

I'm quite surprised by how much I like the leads. The FL is by no means perfect but she doesn't deserve the treatment she got from her husband and mother in law. As the show progresses, she kept showing her resilience and practicality. Meanwhile, the ML is no pushover, he's a quick thinker and does not dilly dally with his decisions. Their chemistry is also good, they have that former lovers that haven't gotten over each other vibe going on and I'm excited to see them getting back together.

Not the typical fluff

I really love it when I get to watch a drama that offers more than fluff.

Maybe some would find the first few episodes to be a little slow and the FL to be a little depressing character but it will all be understandable as the story unfolds and viewers see how hard life has treated her. Deng Jiajia is giving a very good performance as the FL. She emits different feelings for the different stages in her life. Before the hardships, her eyes looked carefree even when she was beginning to worry. During her saddest phase, her eyes looked dull and defeated. And in the current timeline of the drama, her eyes looked fearful but determined.

Darren Chen as the ML is a case of kind to the FL but cold to others. But unlike the usual overbearing CEO trope, he was already kind to the FL even from the start of the drama. Also unlike the usual trope of unapproachable boss, he looks gentle and bubbly to his coworkers. He is kind to people who are kind to the FL but straightforward and a little ruthless to those who are not. He is a silent guardian type who would be happy if she is happy. He is exactly the type of person the FL needs in order to move forward and grow.

I am liking their interactions so far. I liked that the ML can draw out smiles from the FL, that she is comfortable with him and slightly guarded to others. I also like that they seem to be able to understand and heal each other's traumas.

The second CP also seems to be cute and uncomplicated so far. I immediately felt that they truly like each other and that this might be an ideal coupling.

Lighthearted, engaging and funny

With just a few episodes, I already knew I'm going to love this romantic comedy and be with it until the end. If you are against female chasing male stories, then this is not for you. But if you don't mind it and decided to watch this, watch out for the epilogues after some episodes that will make you understand certain scenes.

Esther Yu as Yu Meiren has charmed me once again while Vin Zhang seems more attractive as Zhuang Yu than in any of his previous roles (maybe except as KO in Love 020). This is the type of drama that you watch to relax. The story is very simple. It is about a romance between a charming bird specialist turned beauty blogger and a reserved botany professor. What draws me in is their obvious attraction to each other despite denying it to themselves.

I like that YM seems like an empowered quick thinking woman who knows what she wants and goes for it. She knows when to use her cutesy persona but is more comfortable with her nerdy persona. For ZY, I like that he's dedicated to his work and wants to try to improve the world but he's been kind of a jerk to YM until he realized how much he really love her.

If not for the over exposure of the 2nd couple, I would probably rate this higher. It would have been better if this was maybe a 24 Eps drama and does not included a loveline between the 2nd CP.

The OSTs are very good. The opening song of 'Two People's little forest' is so soothing, making you look forward to the romance while the duet 'All seems the same' of Esther Yu and Vin Zhang is uplifting and sweet. 'Find You' by Vin Zhang feels full of determination while Esther Yu's 'Sunny day after the rain' feels optimistic. 'Welcome to my World' is such a fun song and lastly 'Want to be by your side' which was used for most sad scenes is full of longing. I would rewatch this but will still skip the 2nd couple.

Good visuals but poor plot

The scenes were beautifully shot but the plot kept getting sillier and sillier. I kept trying to convince myself that it will get better, the story will make sense, but it never did. Even the miracle in the end was ridiculous.

Noble idiocy was used frequently and the makers of the drama seemed to think that the audience will just accept illogical and at times incomprehensible actions of the characters (eg. The blind ML can 'read' the stars with a telescope! I mean huh?). This felt like they mashed up different lores but couldn't decide how to integrate it, to be fair a lot of time was spent on presenting it but it was too complicated that it ended up as a boring mess. T_T

FL was egotistic and entitled (feels that her paintings are too good) while ML was revengeful and boring. The king was a coward, the first prince was delusional and the 2nd prince was plain annoying.

Watch this only if you want to show support to any of the actors in the series, if not, just watch another drama.

It's so violent but the male lead is so hot

If you are into those revenge melodramas with a love-hate relationship and a domineering but sexy male lead then this drama might be worth your while.

The plot is full of cliches that can draw you in. Tingyao has lived a sheltered existence as the only daughter of the Dong family and fiance of Fang Fuze (note: they never as adults). On the night her family was annihilated, she met Tianyi who she then blamed for the massacre. She went to the Fangs for help but to her shock, her half-sister was already there pretending to be her. Unable to provide proof of who she was, she was beaten but was saved by Fuze. She was then forced to become a maid in the house but was surprised once again when she came across her fiance's uncle, the governor that she thought would be able to help her, and discovered he was actually Tianyi! He took her to a bed to make it look like they slept together then announced that she's his personal maid. So by now she hates Tianyi and thinks Fuze is nice. But based on previews, what she didn't know was that Tianyi tried to stop the massacre but was too late and it actually Fuze who brought disaster to her family. The two men will fight for her attention while she tries to prove who she is and complete her revenge. I think she will definitely prove her identity and will try to marry Fuze while having complicated feelings for Tianyi.

The Republican setting gives an elegant feel. But while I understand that this was a violent time, I don't think it's necessary have over the top violence. I was shocked when the Tingyao was beaten until she bled just because she insisted that she's real daughter of the Dong family. I hope there won't be too much of this in future episodes.

The actors are good looking, Tingyao looks sweet and Tianyi looks fit. The preview I've seen of their kisses exudes chemistry. They seem to have a love-hate relationship. I just hope it won't be the usual toxic mess seen in other dramas of this time setting.

So for now I'll chase this drama but may drop it if my tolerance level can't take it anymore.
