Fresh and Funny in its own way!
I will forever thank you to this dorama for giving me a lot of Ryuhei Matsuda content that I've never seen before. I got his fallin' in love face, being sulky, and being cute for his 'Yaho!'.Despite of me being a fan of Ryuhei Matsuda, I really enjoy the ride and actually laugh a lot! The story is kinda reverse-harem and non-usual, but it is written in a very relaxing, witty and funny way. Each character have their own uniqueness and the casts play it splendidly. Love the strong characterisation of Omameda Towako, the independent woman at her 40s, a single Mom, and capable to decide what she wants in life by herself. The directing approach is also very fresh and has kinda cool vibe. Love it!

A fluffy and sweet dorama, with though life lesson.
Let me say that I love this dorama at the first sight. Maybe because I love the type of dorama that the story flows based on its character development. Every character herein has their own problem & it is nice to see that the other characters are not trying to intervene, instead they're supporting each other to solve it by themself. The two main characters are the spotlight, I love how Shun always support Kurumi without being too preachy even when Kurumi wants it, then it also develops Kurumi to become a better version of herself. Same to Kurumi that always supports Shun by a sweet gesture to boost his man confidence and make Shun wants to become a better man so he is good enough for Kurumi. Although, some dramas are unnecessary (yes, I look at you, Orca) and the ending feels a bit rush, I believe every character in this dorama already in their proper place.Cet avis était-il utile?

Another stellar slice of life dorama
This dorama casted top tier japanese young actors and gave them a script that only them will be able to nail. Centered on a non-successful comedy trio named Makube, each character have their flaws, struggles and crisis. Then, like a real life, not everyone of them find their way.At the first episode, it was difficult to grasp the direction, but once I found how the story flows, I became so attached. I also thought some of the Makube's chit chat feels too much & awkward, but it also felt human at the same time. Some dialogues were really thought provoking.
That's why I still think Japanese dorama is the best in giving a slice of life story.
One thing I totally can relate is how Rihoko attached to Makube because this trio like a light when she fell into the darkness. Gratefully, Makube also pushes her to rise from her hardship (also, thank you Tsugumi!). That's also the start of my fangirling journey...

Some improvements, but not that much
While I think Tokai-sensei is great as a character, Amagi-sense is even greater! He brings a nice air and more dynamic to the inter-character relationship, especially with Sera. I prefer this season's medical aspect due to they give more clear explanation on why Amagi-sensei's ope technique is marvelous. However, while I am glad having Neko-chan background story, the other characters that supposed to be the regular one often missing and has no significancy (for example, Hanabusa and the Korean intern). And, the money laundry story wheer Amagi-sensei suddenly has relationship with police investigator is just so weird. Finally, the finale episode is so annoying because, again, they keep talking and talking, when the time to operate is limited. However, O gotta say I enjoy this season more than the first one.

Great characters, but less dynamic
Tokai-sensei has a strong characterization that drove the dorama into a great emotional roller coaster. Unfortunately, the dorama is too focus to the sophisticated instrument, it forgets to explore the human relationship. Sera being the most developed character, but I do hope he has more contradictive interaction with Tokai-sensei. Also, other characters are under developed and have not-that-much significant to the story line. Also, I still don't get it why they have so much chit chat in the ope room while the time to operate is limited.Cet avis était-il utile?
New journey to TODAI!
I didn't like the first episode since it has different vibe with the OG one that I adore so much, so at first I decided dropping it. But, the news that the og cast will appear on the last epi, changed my mind. Turned out, the Zakura engine was started on 2nd episode as the story more focus on the characters one by one and their struggle. Of course the legendary monolog by Sakuragi sensei and the tricks of Todai's entrance exam also made a wholesome come back. The twist by the end was also nicely made, although I already guessed it. Unfortunately, I still can't feel the emotional attachment to the students. The spark just not there and their friendship kind a bland. But, I do hope all these young actors and actresses will have bright future like the OG one.Cet avis était-il utile?
Need more Eita for comedy!
At the beginning of the series, I actually really really like it. The conversation and bickering between Saki and Kouichi are funny but feel very real as well (in a sense of their domestic problems happen to general people). However, when the third parties (especially the novelist) come to the equation, the drama being draggy and cliché. EITA is shining on his comical performance without being too exaggerated, while Keiko Kitagawa gives just right proportion as Saki. Appropriate performance from other casts as well. The ending, IMHO, giving a fair resolution to every character.Cet avis était-il utile?
