Mixed Disappointment and Yet, Liked it too
So this will contain Spoilers for those that haven't watched all of the 8 episodes.I went into this working off the synopsis and the trailer which made it seem as though it would be multiple arcs with the same people in varying lives always finding each other.
Episode 1 made me think of La Pluie with a twist, the color blind until soul mate thing was different and I found I quite liked it. I would have been happier if Sun's ex had a bit more happen after what he pulled, but overall the story kept me watching.
Episode 2 had me enjoying the dynamics in a different way. I was all about Prin and his growth. I also loved his grandmother.
Episode 3 - 4 Namping's character really drove things home. I came to the conclusion that seeing him cry and even in that one seeing X or Ton cry made me want to burn the world to keep them from crying. While I would have liked to have an idea of exactly what it was that Namping suffered from, I feel for so short of story (I mean 2 episodes to tell a great deal) they did damn well at pulling the heartstrings and making me invested in what was going on. I cried and teared up more than once.
I get how Namping wanted to choose not to have X see him at the end, but I also felt that Ton's point was important. I feel that using the cemetary visit for the reveal was a perfect choice, you could see the moment it dawned and it was heartwrenching.
Episode 5-6 this is where I began to get a bit frustrated, at first it was great. The story of Blue and Sian interested me, there were quite a few tropes this one played into as well. Absolutely amused at the way they used food to tease and mimic things. I liked the dynamic. However, at the end of the 6th when it's revealed that they are basically on a movie set and that in actuality Pun and Inn were playing the roles I became a bit disappointed. I felt like it took away from what could have been a great mix.
Episode 7 - 8 with Pun and Inn now the MC's and the entire thing being outed that each of the former stories were simply roles they portrayed I was a bit frustrated. Yet, the chemistry between the actors as they played even the roles of Pun and Inn, plus the added energy that Fiat brought to the roll of Otto, it kept me engaged.
Overall my thoughts are this:
I would have much rather there not have been the misleading aspects of the synopsis and trailer than feel I was investing time in watching something that would in essence be about two souls finding each other regardless of what else came their way. If they wanted to do multiple scenes to show the diversity of actors there were better ways they could have prepared watchers for it.
I did however have to give props to Top, Mick, and Fiat specifically as they embodied their roles and connected with the audience. The versatility of the actors was definitely highlighted in the series.

Definitely a Fangirl here
So I am not big on giving spoilers so I won't say much on the matter but I really hope that 2 Moons 3 comes soon because for having just gotten into BL titles the last few weeks I watched this after the other one and at first was a bit disappointed because of the redo of the same but the pacing in this actually worked for what it was. I loved the chance to see more of the other pairings, to actually get to know the individual characters more.At first because of the change of actors I was a bit iffy, not realizing that it was a reimagining rather than a continuation (my own fault as I didn't read it properly and just assumed that it being called 2 Moons 2 meant it was a season 2), however I had so many grow on me that I couldn't even say which actor for which role I preferred.
There were many cute moments that had me wanting to squee with joy and do the entire yaoi-fangirl thing though not anywhere near as loud as those in the shows haha.
It honestly has made me begin to think that rather than working on novels I might have to give a shot at writing some screenplays because this show reawakened my muse of late for writing yaoi.
I really hope that we get resolution soon with 2 Moons 3 because leaving it off on a cliffhanger as it did is not rewarding for watching it all. I want to have the satisfaction of seeing a certain character get punished for what was pulled and I really would love to see one of the fangirls take care of someone else after what she pulled. I think at this point I am a Kit fangirl and Forth/Beam fangirl most, but I loved all the characters and the story even with the common tropes.
