Slow start but worth the watch if you are free
I really was looking for something light, short and sweet when I stumbled upon this drama. Contract relationship’s theme has a been a favorite of mine for a while. I've seen it nailed to perfection or horribly butchered beyond recognition.
TTMTL had me struggling to even get through the first 3 episodes. It took me almost 2 months to find the energy for this one. What I couldn’t get over the most was the FL. She looks like a high school girl, not a woman in a relationship with a CEO. I went on to google the actress and she is really pretty, but something just didn’t click for me in this one.
The plot starts off kind of weak with slap stick comedy springled all over the screen. Being stupid is not a cute thing.
(I keep getting distracted with that scratch /scar /redness on her throat.)
Don’t give up too soon, a hint of romance begins to flutter around the 9th episode, nothing heavy though. A bit of parental disproval, corporate espionage and unrequited love gets thrown into the mix. One thing that shook me up was the OST. I fell in love with each and every song, so much so that I spent a few hours hunting them down online.
ML really impressed me with his character development. His turn from extremely cold and arrogant to desperate and sincere was one of the best acting I've seen in a long time. As part of the audience, I could actually feel his progression. The director and his crew were realistic about the different heights of our leads, and they made it work. The chemistry was there. Would like to see them coupled in another drama hopefully.
Not a bad watch if you are looking for something short and fluffy. I would rewatch some episodes but not the whole drama.
