IT's really good, but could be awseome

First of all, I didn’t read the manga so I don’t know how much the drama stays true to the story of the book, but in fact it’s not the most important thing.

I was really hooked on this drama, the action scenes are the best I've seen. Even though it was 2011, I watched after seeing K-2 and Healer and found the action scenes better. The performance of the entire cast is very good and the characters were very well prepared by the actors, which makes the story much more credible. The OST is generally good. The romance develops slowly and the scenes between the protagonists are sweet and funny, the push/pull game works but up to a certain point. And the plot is sensational !!

The series has an excellent development and a very good pace, where everything is happening very well tied up until the 13th episode ... After that it starts to drag and it is very difficult to watch without pressing the FF button. Many scenes without context or even, in a way, repetitive. And the relationship between the protagonists falls apart. That push / pull thing that was working ends up getting annoying and that nice tension between them just disappears. This drama could have 16 episodes instead of 20 and I'm sure it would be much better.

Now let's talk about the ending - SPOILER ALERT.
After dragging the story for more than 5 episodes, the director decides that everything will be solved in the last one and that leaves, contrary to what he wanted, several open ends and everything gets very confused.

After the shooting where Yoon Sung and Jin Pio are shot, JP assumes all crimes by saying he is the real City Hunter, but says that this person - YS in this case - has to die and the two end up unconscious and covered in blood on the floor. Cut to a year ahead where it is assumed that YS is dead, because his mother moves to the USA with the ahjussi with a very sad face and Na Na meets with friends and they mention that it has been a year since YS is no longer over there. Cut (yes, just like that) A Na Na scene dragging a suitcase where she seems to see YS, she runs and he appears behind her, they look at each other and smile and cut. The last scene is YS driving a car through the city at night. The End!

Really ??? WTF?? If he wanted to imply that he did not die, there are other ways ... and, if he did not die, what's the need for him to hide the fact that he is alive from his mother? Why would he continue as City Hunter ?? I really didn't like this ending, because I think it was not faithful to everything the character developed throughout the series: what he wanted the most was to have a happy life with the people he loved and that would be very possible since JP confessed to be the real City Hunter. Now, if he really died, what was the scene where Na Na and he meet? Delirium??? And the driving scene?? LAME !!

My ending: After the shooting, the ambulance arrives and takes YS, Na Na goes beside him (the camera moving and defocusing and an appropriate soundtrack convey her suffocating and desperate feeling about what is happening) they arrive at the hospital and he has to be resuscitated and end up in a coma. During this time, all the people with whom he created a bond will visit him, which shows that he is no longer a lonely guy. He is loved and has built true bonds, something he always wanted in life. After he regains consciousness, sitting on the bed, he puts his hand on his chest and misses something, opens the drawer of the side table: empty. The nurse enters and he asks where the necklace he was wearing is. At that same moment Na Na arrives and shows the hand with the ring. The ring his mother gave him and he hesitated all the time to put it in Na Na's hand because he was afraid. Cut to the scene / flashback where he opens the wooden box with the ring and with the bullet that his "father" was killed. He returns the bullet to JP and puts the ring on a necklace around his neck, as if to say that till that moment he lived to fulfill his promise of revenge, but now he will live to fulfill his promise to himself to be happy with the people he loves and have a normal life. Cut back to the hospital: the two look at each other, he takes her hand and kisses the ring, the tears roll, nothing needs to be said because they already know. The End!
