Many people that have given a review for this drama have said that there are a lot of flashbacks, that they take up most of the time. That is very true, but I think they are essential. They give the audience a true meaning of what the character is feeling in those moments. I'm not denning that they were sometimes boring because we've already seen that part so many times, and to be honest I have skipped around when they come up. The flashbacks help set the emotions for the character so your not just staring at them sit with emotions running through their face.
William Chan (Shi Yue) and Bai Bai He (Nan Qiao) have great chemistry together. I love how their relationship grows even through malicious beginnings. The pain and torture the two go through because of how much they love each other pulls at you. He's willing to sacrifice his love to make sure that she is safe.
An Ning is a very controlling and manipulative person. What she does to Shi Yue makes me feel his pain even more. She sees how he acks with her but still try's to have him by her side even if that is not what he wants.
