Interesting concept, but...
[Disclaimer]: this review is based on my personal opinion of the film. The concept of the film was definitely interesting and I was looking forward to watching it, when I finally got into the mood for a movie of this kind. However I do have to say I was slightly disappointed with how the story turned out. The opened ending was nice and somewhat unexpected but I do think it could have been handled a little differently.
The acting of the main characters was 10/10, though. Emotions they were portraying felt real and it sucked me into the world of the film along with the cinematography and production design. Visually, the film was really good.
Unfortunately, this film has zero rewatch value for me. There was nothing left untold for me that would require me to come back to, or an scene that I would wish to see again. The sound design wasn't too memorable for me either.
In the end, I think this film is worth watching for people, who like this genre but it's not going to be on the top of my list for movies I've watched, sadly.

{DISCLAIMER} This review is based on my personal opinion that may differ from others. Thank you for understanding. :)Kang Ha Neul and Park Seo Joon had some of the best on screen bro-relationship I have seen in a long time. I generally enjoy action films that don't have a romance put into it, so my rating might be high that others. Both main characters had a solid background that worked for this film and you didn't really question the action or require more in my opinion.
If you don't enjoy films with blood, you may not enjoy this one either. I like how the director was not afraid to show blood and wounds.
Another thing that I truly enjoyed is that 'Midnight Runners' hits a very serious problem that occurs in the world, but is not widely known about. And even though this is quite the serious matter, the writers have decided to put humor into it and make it a little less heavy and more digestible.
The ending was the one you expect at the beginning and even though I have seen my fair share of film, TV series and dramas (and kid of hate expected endings) I was very content this film ended the way it did, which is probably also a reason why my rating is this high. :)

Okay. I now totally get what the hype is about!!!
[Disclaimer] this review is based on my own opinions of the drama. Thank you for understanding. :)I did not expect this drama to keep me up at night and make me binge-watch it. I've hated horror as a genre ever since I was little and I never grew into liking it. But something drew me in... at first it was the soundtrack and the background music used and then the story became gripping and I just couldn't let go.
I'm not sure I would re-watch the whole thing, but certain parts for sure. I liked the production, the actors were well chosen as well, but what shocked me the most was that even characters I thought would be flat and only served filler characters were actually written as multi-dimensional characters, you just needed to give them time to show their true nature. And I absolutely loved that.
I highly recommend this drama. It's totally worth the hype.

I went into this film during a long weekend I spent watching a lot of films and was pleasantly surprised by how I felt about this. The story was captivating and had a very powerful message from my point of view. I liked how I could relate to both of the main characters (the mother and the friend) during the journey. I almost expected this ind of ending and yet I was again pleasantly surprised that it did not end 100% the way I thought it would. I have to say that if you're coming to this film for steamy BL scenes, you'd be disappointed. BUT if you're looking for a film with a strong family message and family-doesn't-have-to-related-be-a-family story you've found your film.
