Hey, hey... To those that have stumbled upon my profile, welcome. 

A bit of background about me: I am just your average 22-year-old girl from South Africa.  I only started Asain dramas mid last year, (almost failed my mid-year exams because of this new discovery. #iblameDOTS).  Anyways,  I have a fascination with different cultures. Coming from SA where there are so many cultures and people of all different background, I find it really interesting to see how other people live. 

I have been obsessed with anime since I was 8... Well mainly  One Piece. My older brothers forced me into watching anime as I refused to read my class readers. They sat with me while I paused and sounded out each word of the subtitles. I am dyslexic so reading was a real struggle but after years of practice, I can now read subtitles without pausing.  Needless to say, I didn't have many friends who knew what anime was while growing up but in university, I finally found friends who shared the same interests as me and introduced me to this drama-filled world. I will forever be grateful to them. 

That's pretty much all there is to know about me... 

My favourite drama is Decendents of the Sun.  The element of comedy is what pushes it over the line for me. However, I still have so much more to discover of this drama world and am always looking for new shows. Any recommendations are always welcome. 

Favourite movies are:

• Survival Family- just loved the comedy and could relate a little bit because I watched it in lockdown. Made me think twice about stocking piling food.  Made me think that load shedding ain't all bad.
• Better Days- loved how this movie just took ahold of my heart and was just sooo real.  Brilliant movie.
