You got all the elements of a romcom, good-looking main leads, the ever-endearing chase, not too heavy conflicts and a good ending to appease the public.

Quite frankly the aesthetics of the setting were top notch but the writing of the characters was a bit shallow for me. And they didn't take advantage of how good the cast (not saying didn't have chemistry, coz they sure did!). I just wished they could've polished the storyline where you could really root for a specific character.

The time-skips were a little confusing at first but given the ending, the nonlinear narrative seems logical.
I love the comedic parts of this film that actually makes the waiting for the climax a bit bearable.

If you want hard-hitting actions, tear-jerky romances this isn't a movie for you. But I will definitely put this high on my go-to list of movies when I just want a feel-good movie on a lonely Friday night in bed.

A line from the movie: " Let go of everything you don’t need anymore."

Jean, an interior designer, wanted to apply the minimalistic style to her house. In the first 2 minutes of the movie, you can see that she has achieved this, she has converted their old storefront into her office. She is interviewed and asked how to get rid of things. Then begins her journey in decluttering her house as well as facing the memories and consequences the past may bring.

First of all the movie was excellently made. Every element from the cinematography, the film score and music, the editing, the acting, the setting, and even the clothes have cohesion. It's like an indie film that usually relies on the emotional impact of the story.

The main problem for me was how the movie ended. The ML's acting was superb. That's why I wanted it to continue. I think the character's growth should be explored more.

Warning!! Do not read ahead if you don't want to be spoiled!

Jean started a plan to convert their house including their old repair shop into a minimalist home without even consulting her brother and mother. She needs to declutter a house that was so full of junk! She got her brother on board but her mother was still against the renovation. But she did it anyway. Here on out, I loved watching Jean's journey. She seems heartless at first but as she was going through some of the stuff she can't deny that she still had a sentimental attachment. I loved that she tracked down her friends and gave back some of the things she borrowed and even gave stuff she bought for them years back.

One of the most important objects of the movie was the piano. I feel like it was a metaphor for her father. Jean wanted to sell it while her mother didn't want to let it go.

Now the plot with the ex, Aim, and it was a lot. Returning the items to her ex opened up a lot of unhinged emotions for Jean. She had to deal with guilt over cutting him off. The dialogue in every scene between these two was so raw and vulnerable. And honestly, every line was quotable.

The movie ends with the closeup of Jean’s pained expression.

This end was so hard to watch (but tremendous acting by Chutimon) because I think we were left with a cliffhanger of what happens to Jean. That scene says so much that her self-realization that even though she has achieved her goal, in the end, she just choose what she wants to believe in and she isn't happy.

Sometimes one person can impact your life forever. You might not end up together but they will be a part of life forever.

I loved how the movie storyline didn't intend to get our hopes up. The overall tone of the movie is obvious based on the editing, I loved the colored sequences and the black and white parts and how a change of perspective changes everything in the end. I loved how the story feels so authentic and without extravagance. It made me feel that I was watching/reading the story of people I can relate to. You can get easily attached to the characters because you will see their character growth. Here they used the going back and in forth of the different timelines in a good way.

The trailer was very compelling and I expected a better story than this. I didn't watch the original version and I came into this with a clean slate.

The good:
The story started in 1996 with the 2 boys and setting being in the 90s was spot-on. I loved the little references like the Walkman, the cassettes tapes, the beeper etc. The acting of leads, Dew and Pop, was really good too. I loved how they portrayed the innocence as well as the confusion of young love in a time where there was so much discrimination against homosexuals. A few conflicts were a little bit cliched like the strict Chinese family and the gossip in a small town where everyone knows everyone. Although for me it made it more realistic which I appreciate. The cinematography was superb as expected from a CJMajor entertainment production.

The bad:
They made poor resolutions to connect the past to the present. I think they were going for the "love exists in forms" feel but it was inappropriately executed. This is just my opinion, but I didn't like the teacher-student bit in the older version of Pop. The actor and actress lacked chemistry, it made me feel uneasy. The younger version of Pop and Dew were pretty convincing although I think the build-up towards the crossing-the-line-from-friends-to-lovers was a bit weak. I wasn't entirely invested in their relationship yet. The overall story-telling needed polishing and timing.

Overall: Does not have a rewatch potential. Watch it if you want your mind to be boggled. I wish the 2 young leads will have a future project together.

Have you been sick of watching dramas that revolves around just the 2 main protagonist and maybe one or two rivalries?
Well I have, I was looking for a series that have more characters who are so lovable and related that it makes me feel like that I'm a part of their group. Thank goodness, I found One More Happy Ending!

Story wise, it's your typical romantic-comedy drama, but that doesn't mean you don't get to enjoy the ride!
I like how the 4 female leads have their own individual plots at the same time you can feel their connection when they come together as friends talking about their lives. The actresses have a great chemistry, which makes the drama so authentic. There were some conflicts that I feel like wasn't necessary but everything got resolved at the end.

The finale gave a wonderful closure to all the subplots and I am satisfied with the outcome. Tho I feel like I was parting ways with my friends as I finished the show.

I highly recommend it to those looking for a drama that makes you feel a whirlwind of emotions, and yet ended as a feel-good series.

ABSOLUTELY FREAKING ADORABLE!

I have not watched the series so I had no expectations. And I found myself with a huge grin when the leads were in their school days. It was oh so charming.

This movie surprised me with its super wholesome coming-of-age love story. I loved how the story unfolded in flashbacks, which kept me on my toes on what happened with the leads at the present time. It starts on the first day of high school of our two leads and right off the bat how they met was so cute. The classroom and homeroom parts were reminiscent of the good ol high school days in the late 2000s. The classmates teasing the pair, the friends helping the girl, the study dates. These parts were so endearing that I had to repeat some parts! I also liked how the story focused more on the leads and how they came to like one another rather than the typical girl/boy-likes-another-boy/girl conflict where they helped each other at first.

I'll be honest I have issues with some of the parts of the story but I can let that all go. Will definitely recommend this if you're in the moody for the nostalgic high school puppy-love story.

I never watched the series but this movie made me want to watch it.

I like how altho the plot was so absurd, the journey was never boring. You will be rooting for the friends to overcome the challenges. I loved the chemistry of the 4 and Cathy blended well with them. I'm curious about their character development during the 2 seasons of the series up to the time of the movie.

Kudo to the actress playing Cathy! She was so delightful to watch, you can tell she wasn't afraid to make fun of herself. That shows dedication!

Thai comedies are really a good mixture of humor with heart. And this certainly will be one for keeps.
